Hezbollah’s new leader Naim Qassem brazenly threatened Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. How will the Jewish State respond? On top of that, the fanatical regime in Tehran is vowing a “painful” response to the IDF’s strike against Iran. Is this simply saber rattling, or should Israel be expecting a devastating attack?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez touted First Gentleman Doug Emhoff as the ideal representation of masculinity at a Las Vegas campaign event for his wife Kamala Harris on Wednesday. “He’s not afraid to embody and pass on these values of security and this idea that you can, you can let your girl shine,” Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) told a room full of students at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, according to the Daily Mail. “And he embodies that really well. We should all be really, really proud of him.” The “squad” member praised Emhoff’s example of masculinity less than a week after a...

Evangelicals For Harris is not even pretending to be a Christian organization. But despite their theological failings and their recent Zoom meeting where their female pastors clucked over how pro-abortion they were, Evangelical For Harris is not actually a movement within the church. Rather, it is a clumsy yet well-funded attempt to counterfeit Christianity. But even its founder, Jim Ball, a long time environmentalist is not nearly as smooth or cunning as many liberals in Evangelicalism. In a recent interview on News Nation, a liberal cable news channel, Jim Ball waffled on a question about trangenderism indoctrination in schools. What...

Christianity Today is one of the most liberal outlets posing as Christian. It has a particularly egregious history of recognizing the faith of Democrats, including Pete Buttigieg the homosexual, and Kamala Harris back in August. Several members of the organization Evangelicals For Harris are connected to Christianity Today. Evangelicals For Harris was founded to subvert the Evangelical voting bloc and has a lot of money backing it. However, it has been markedly unconvincing, compared to liberal Evangelicals like Tim Keller, Ed Stetzer, and Rick Warren. Evangelicals For Harris does not pretend to be pro-life, unlike its predecessor Evangelicals For Biden....

LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) — On a recent weekday afternoon, an Amish man in a horse-drawn buggy navigated through a busy intersection of auto traffic in Pennsylvania’s Lancaster County, past a billboard proclaiming: “Pray for God’s Mercy for Our Nation.” The billboard featured a large image of a wide-brimmed straw hat often worn by the Amish. If there was any further doubt as to its target audience, the smaller print listed the sponsor as “Fer Die Amische” — referring to the Amish in their Pennsylvania German dialect. Researchers say most of the Amish don’t register to vote, reflective of the Christian...

(RNS) — Kellianne Clarke doesn’t really have time for an interview. An active member of her Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints congregation in Chester County, Pennsylvania, she spoke to RNS earlier this month while preparing a lesson she planned to lead for her church’s women’s group the following Sunday. A mother of four with a master’s in strategic communication who regularly serves on various nonprofit boards, Clarke also helps lead the local chapter of the Relief Society, the LDS church’s national women’s group. All that, along with her long history with the church, means she is in constant...

Cash Not Drugs" proposal, under which certain residents would receive money to stay sober, is now closer to becoming reality after the city's Board of Supervisors passed the bill earlier this week. The bill gives welfare recipients a $100 city-issued gift card for each week they stay sober. Proponents of the plan call it a humane and effective way of dealing with the drug crisis plaguing San Francisco. Supervisors Ahsha Safai, Dean Preston, Matt Dorsey, and Rafael Mandelman sponsored the bill. Eligible recipients include those enrolled in the County Adult Assistance Program (CAAP). The Cash Not Drugs is completely voluntary...

This past weekend, the Heartwood-Northwestern Symposium on Sexual Violence in Buddhism: Centering Survivor’s Voices took place at Northwestern University in Chicago. This groundbreaking gathering brought together a diverse group of participants to address the sensitive subject of sexual abuse within Buddhist communities, which is often overlooked in academic and scholarly settings. It was my honor to be invited to attend as a member of the Buddhist media, an ally, and someone who’s been part of several Buddhist communities affected by guru abuse. “It was truly transformational to have people from diverse backgrounds come together to openly discuss abuse within Buddhist...

A man says he was kicked out of a coffee shop in North Oakland because he was wearing a Star of David hat. "You're being asked to leave. You're causing a disruption. This is a private business. You're being asked to leave," the owner of Jerusalem Coffee House at 54th Street and Telegraph Avenue told Jonathan Hirsch as Hirsch recorded the confrontation on Saturday afternoon. "This gentleman asked me to leave because of my hat," Hirsch can be heard saying on the video. The owner responded, "This is a violent hat, and you need to leave." "My hat is violent?"...

Former President Bill Clinton said the “economy was better” under former President Donald Trump during a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, adding that people should still vote for Harris. “I don’t think it’s right to say that people have to vote for Donald Trump because the economy was better then,” Clinton said in what rallygoers seemingly perceived as a pro-Trump slip, as the 42nd president’s remark elicited groans from the audience. But Clinton stressed that people should still vote for Harris, even though the economy was better under Trump. Clinton also said, “I think I’m...

On sweeping measures the authorities outlawed the Arab Higher Committee and started rounding up Its influential members. With telephone communication from the city suspended, and roads heavily guarded, police carried out their large-scale operations before dawn. Silently they surrounded houses of Arab leaders, searching one after vhe other. Dr. Hussein Khalidl, mayor of Jerusalem, and Fuad Saba, secretary of the Higher Committee, were reported arrested and taken aboard H.M.S. "Sussex" at Haifa. The manager of an Arabian bank...

The propaganda campaign labeling Donald Trump as an aspiring dictator determined to use the military and national security apparatus against his political opponents is designed not to affect the upcoming election but rather to shape the post-election environment. It is the central piece of a narrative that, by characterizing Trump as a tyrant (indeed likening him to Hitler), establishes the conditions for violence — not just another attempt on Trump’s life, but political violence on a massive scale intended to destabilize the country... ...Disruption, destabilization, and violence are legitimized by a narrative driven by self-congratulatory mirror-imaging and projection in which...

An Iowa priest affiliated with the Catholic Diocese of Sioux City has been accused of misappropriating nearly $70,000 in funds. The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that Father Steven McLoud, 65, of Fort Dodge, has been charged with first-degree theft and first-degree fraudulent practices, both felonies. McLoud is accused of knowingly falsifying expense documents such as receipts and reimbursements of nearly $70,000 while serving as a priest in the Bancroft and Algona parishes. Earlier this year, the Catholic Diocese of Sioux City requested that the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office investigate allegations of misappropriated funds within the two parishes. Man...

Two Polish priests have been detained on child sex abuse charges, prosecutors said Wednesday, the latest development in a southern Poland diocese rocked by a wave of scandals involving its clergy. Prosecutors said they had launched an investigation into sexual abuse after evidence emerged as they were probing a homicide-suicide case involving two other priests from the diocese of Sosnowiec. Three men were now detained as part of the investigation into the abuse, among them two Catholic priests from the Sosnowiec diocese. "The two men have been charged with committing sexual offences against minors," prosecution spokesman Jakub Seweryn told AFP....

The medieval Catholic Church created the feast of All Saints Nov. 1 to honor the blessed people who could not be included in the church’s formal list of saints. In England, the word “hallow” was used to mean the sacred, and thus there the day was All Hallows’ Day. But also of great importance was the day before it, Oct. 31, which was a traditional pagan harvest feast day. Trying to counter pagan beliefs, the English Catholic Church called this day All Hallows’ Eve, which then became Halloween. The new Christian day took over the pagan harvest festival, and the...
