I would repent of every nasty joke I’ve ever told about my former home state if Trump takes Eeeew Jersey.
And the people there make fun of themselves which is good.
But I did not enjoy my time there.
Keep in mind that Democrats have requested 373,000 more mail in ballots than Republicans. Based on returned ballots, their edge is currently 260,000
Come on guys :)
NY and NJ aren’t happens. Polls aren’t THAT off...and even conservative leaning ones (i.e., honest) show them both being lost by 10 to 20 points.
BUT a BUNCH of house members could be brought along in both states....even 5 or 6 would be huge!
I live in NYC.
It’s still 6 to 1 dem and upstate doesn’t vote 6 to 1 R.
But let’s get those house seats!
It will be hilarious if Democrat saboteurs disable voting machines on Election Day and it causes Republicans to win because of early voting.
I spent my summers in the 60's and 70's vacationing in a little town called Longport, best time of my youth.
Yes, but let’s hope that the GOP is also focusing on traditional “souls to the polls” Election Day turnout. We still need to win Election Day.
Saw a commercial for this clown. I’m a pro-choice, gay married man who will not go along with the party line... Blah blah blah. Yeah because all this early voting wants you to vote against Trump. No wonder this homo is losing by 20 pts.
“NY and NJ aren’t happens.... BUT a BUNCH of house members could be brought along in both states....even 5 or 6 would be huge!”
You are correct about the presidential outcomes in NY & NJ. It’s a tremendously long way from “Republicans are doing a little better in early voting” to “weer gonna win the freakin’ state!!!!” in a place like New Jersey.
But which House seats are you figuring?
In NJ, Kean will be lucky to hold onto CD-7 (but he should) and there’s pretty much no chance the GOP takes the open CD-3. No other seats are really in play at all.
In NY it WOULD in fact be huge if the GOP can simply KEEP CD-1, CD-4, CD-17, CD-19 and CD-22 aka “The Five (Squishy) Freshmen”, who fluked (in most cases) their way to close wins in 2022 along with the late George Santos.
The remaining 5 will need considerable Trump coattails in order to do that, probably more than Trump can supply. CD-22 has been gerrymandered and is all but lost; CD-4 looks very bad; CD-17 and CD-19 are tossups AT BEST. CD-1 may be OK for LaLota, but will be close.

Ditto.
But I am still glad that I escaped that dark and fascist state 24 years ago, having moved to Texas, Free America. I literally faced a couple hundred years in Rahway for having a couple dozen metal, spring-containing, boxes that the Fourth Reich considered to be too large.
My first academic job was at Monmouth University. We lived in West Long Branch. But then we moved to Hong Kong for 20+ years so it remained my home state until 2012
