Taylor Swift was a no-show at her NFL star boyfriend’s past two games. But we’re told her absence isn’t a sign that she’s on the outs with Kansas City Chief’s tight end Travis Kelce. The no-shows come amid ongoing criticism of her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s performance on the field this season — which some analysts have blamed on his busy private life.

Will the sleeping church of God wake up in time? In a video of Donald Trump being interviewed on the Greg Gutfeld show, Emily Campagno, Fox News reporter, asked Trump a loaded question. Beaming from ear to ear with her usual charming smile, she asked him about his voting bloc strategy as it pertains to the Evangelical vote. She was referring to the huge voting bloc called the ‘Evangelical Christians’ – a group which Arizona Christian University identified in 2024 as 66% of the adults in the entire country.

Way back in the near-Pleistocene of 2022, I argued that America is “sick from the top down and healthy from the bottom up.” I think the theme that’s been emerging here over the last few weeks is a variation on that argument. To take just the two most recent examples, what can we make of a high-status former official sitting on a stage in Europe and warning that the First Amendment is a huge problem that impedes government because it keeps them from “hammering” voices that disrupt the mandarins in their exercise of authority, or of high-status idiots in national...

IDF invasion of southern Lebanon meets no Hezbollah resistance. By Yonah Jeremy Bob. 10/01/2024. The invasion is expected to end within weeks, and should consist of several short special forces missions into southern Lebanon. The IDF’s invasion into southern Lebanon which started Monday night just before 10:00 p.m. has met almost no resistance from Hezbollah, with not a single IDF soldier killed so far. The invasion is expected to end within weeks, despite IDF spokesperson R.-Adm. Daniel Hagari indicating it may last longer. In some ways, the invasion is viewed as a broadening of a large number of very short...

Russia on Tuesday called on Israel to withdraw troops from Lebanon, warning that the attack would lead to a further escalation of violence in the Middle East. -snip- "Russia strongly condemns the attack on Lebanon and calls on the Israeli authorities to immediately cease hostilities, withdraw their troops from Lebanese territory and engage in a real search for peaceful ways to resolve the Middle East conflict," Russia's foreign ministry said in a statement. "It is obvious that such a step taken by the Israeli military and political leadership following the assassination of a number of Hezbollah leaders will lead to...

REAL ID was signed into law in 2005. While there is a lot of chatter about non-citizens being registered to vote, I have yet to read any story about comparing the READ ID lists in each state against the Voter Registration Rolls. It seems so obvious for the States to make these comparisons, and it seems no one even wants to talk about it. Why is it?

The White House on Tuesday said the US believes Iran is preparing an imminent ballistic missile attack against Israel. “The United States has indications that Iran is preparing to imminently launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel. We are actively supporting defensive preparations to defend Israel against this attack. A direct military attack from Iran against Israel will carry severe consequences for Iran,” a senior White House official said in a statement. Tensions between Israel and Iran have ratcheted up significantly in recent weeks as Israel has stepped up its efforts against Hezbollah in Lebanon, an Iran-backed militant group. Israel...

For those who are trying to soft-pedal Hezbollah's evil, here are some sections from its 1985 manifesto:No one can imagine the importance of our military potential as our military apparatus is not separate from our overall social fabric. Each of us is a fighting soldier. And when it becomes necessary to carry out the Holy War, each of us takes up his assignment in the fight in accordance with the injunctions of the Law, and that in the framework of the mission carried out under the tutelage of the Commanding Jurist.Let us put it truthfully: the sons of Hezbollah know...

Pope Francis said on Sunday victims of Catholic clergy sexual abuse in Belgium deserved more financial compensation, calling the amounts allocated to them so far "too small". On the flight back to Rome from Belgium, where the pontiff was pressed by the country's political leaders for more concrete actions to address clergy abuse, Francis also reiterated the Catholic Church's commitment to helping survivors. "We must take care of those who have been abused, and punish the abusers," he said. Francis was urged in Belgium by both King Philippe and Prime Minister Alexander De Croo to do more to help abuse...

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington, Vermont has filed for bankruptcy in federal court. It follows decades of sexual abuse allegations and settlements, according to current Bishop John McDermott, who was just installed in July. In 2019, an independent committee formed by former Bishop Christopher Coyne published a public report about the abuse allegations. To date, the Diocese says 40 priests had credible claims against them, for sexual abuse of a minor. Most of the incidents occurred between 1950 and 1980, according to court documents. According to paperwork filed Monday, the Diocese settled nearly 30 cases in 2006 and 11...

President Biden is reportedly grumbling behind closed doors that Vice President Kamala Harris hasn’t been mentioning him or “Bidenomics” enough in her recent campaign speeches. Biden, 81, has privately complained to allies that Harris and the Democratic Party appear to have “moved on from him” since his July exit from the 2024 race, and that his “accomplishments” are no longer being highlighted as Election Day nears, according to an NBC News report on Monday. The president was particularly upset at one instance in which the 59-year-old vice president did invoke his name — during her Sept. 10 debate against former...
