4:19 In a high-profile speech set for Thursday at the Economic Club of New York, Donald Trump will lay out a comprehensive economic vision under the banner of “Make America Affordable Again,” aimed at restoring affordability and driving down the high cost of living that many Americans have faced under the Biden-Harris administration. Trump’s plan focuses on cutting government waste, scaling back regulatory overreach, and unleashing domestic energy production—all pillars he sees as essential to revitalizing the economy. A centerpiece of Trump’s agenda is the creation of a government efficiency commission, an idea suggested by tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, which...

The FBI raided the homes of two of the top members of New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ (D) administration on Wednesday morning, Politico revealed. Several sources told the outlet that NYC First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright’s Manhattan townhome and Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks’ Queens single-family residence were both searched as part of an investigation into Adams’ 2021 campaign. The mayor himself was served a grand jury subpoena in July after law enforcement seized his electronic devices in November 2023 over allegations that he colluded with foreign governments, including the government of Turkey, Politico reported. Banks and...

In today's most shocking news, Kamala Harris has yet to flip-flop on a radical position she held during her mercifully short-lived 2020 presidential campaign. But don't you fret. This video only just started making the rounds and she still has two months to deny that her sudden total reversal is anything but a sudden total reversal.AdvertisementWe've already seen Harris embrace "some form of reparations" in 2019, a position she now refuses to get nailed down on. A report in Tuesday's Washington Post wanted to learn "how Harris feels now, five years after expressing support in her first presidential campaign [and]...

The Commanders have fired an employee one day after a video surfaced in which he made comments about the team's players being anti-gay, accused Cowboys owner Jerry Jones of being racist and called NFL commissioner Roger Goodell a "$50 million puppet." Rael Enteen, Washington's vice president of content the previous four years, also criticized fans and called them "mouth breathers." The team on Thursday confirmed the firing via a spokesperson but had no other comment on the matter. Washington had suspended Enteen on Wednesday, shortly after the video from the O'Keefe Media Group was played on social media platforms. According...

Since LBJ’s Great Society legislation was passed in 1964, the black community has been a consistent Democrat voting bloc, voting between 90 and 95% Democrat every four or so years. By percentage, this is one of the largest voting blocs of the Democrat party, which has always struck me as counterintuitive, as the plight of the black community generally has deteriorated in the 60-year period since. Black share of home ownership has declined. The education “system” in predominantly black communities is abysmal and getting worse. One-parent households have risen 15% to 73%, resulting in increased drug addiction, alcoholism, and crime....

In Illinois, they've figured out how to save the planet: They're snatching the mini-shampoo bottles off your sink at that pricey hotel you're staying at and making you use a big communal bottle instead. No more cute souvenirs of your travels for you. According to Illinois Policy, which appears to be a local think tank:The days are numbered for small shampoo bottles in Illinois hotels because of a new law signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker.Hotels with more than 50 rooms are banned from providing single-use plastic bottles of shampoo, mouthwash and other toiletries starting July 1, 2025.If a hotel has...

WASHINGTON (TND) — A senior official at the Department of Justice's Southern District of New York office claimed in an undercover video released Thursday the repeated prosecution of former President Donald Trump has devolved into a “perversion of justice." The clip by Mug Club Undercover shows Nicholas Biase commenting on the myriad of legal troubles facing Trump since leaving the White House, including his felony conviction for falsifying business records. This, he argued, has backfired as Trump continues to see strong polling. “They made him more relevant,” Biase said of Trump. “That’s why he’s surging in the polls. You know,...

CNN — The rollout of updated Covid-19 vaccines has begun in the United States, but for the first time, the shots will no longer be free of charge for people without insurance at their local pharmacy. Earlier in the pandemic, vaccines were purchased by the federal government and free for everyone. Last year, as the shots transitioned to the commercial market, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Bridge Access Program provided free Covid-19 vaccines to adults without insurance and those whose insurance didn’t cover all vaccine costs. The program ended last month due to lack of federal funding....

Explanation: About 70,000 light-years across, NGC 247 is a spiral galaxy smaller than our Milky Way. Measured to be only 11 million light-years distant it is nearby though. Tilted nearly edge-on as seen from our perspective, it dominates this telescopic field of view toward the southern constellation Cetus. The pronounced void on one side of the galaxy's disk recalls for some its popular name, the Needle's Eye galaxy. Many background galaxies are visible in this sharp galaxy portrait, including the remarkable string of four galaxies just below and left of NGC 247 known as Burbidge's Chain. Burbidge's Chain galaxies are...

She went into the donkey enclosure, touched the donkey and attempted to take photos, according to police. When staff asked her to leave, she became even more upset and "battered" zoo staff before continuing to run around...

Gloria Romero, former Democratic majority leader in the California state Senate, has announced that she is switching to the Republican party and will be voting for former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. Speaking on Fox News, Romero said that the Democratic Party "has moved so far to the left, it's been the party that marched towards war, towards censorship, towards authoritarianism." Romero served in office from 1998 to 2010, initially as a member of the California State Assembly for the 49th district, then as a member of the California State Senate for the 24th district, and between...

U.S. District Judge Mark Scarsi temporarily adjourned the trial, which is still in the pre-jury selection phase, after Biden's attorneys caught prosecutors by...
