Yup... And this will be the worst hurricane season ever!... How has that worked out for the last 10 years?

*******

Well for those caught up in one will probably agree. I
know I seen some major damage after they have came thru.
But living along the Gulf coast in Tx/La that is part of it.

The “weather” does not creat fall colors.

Okay. What creates the change in the color as winter approaches?

Actually, the change in temperature does start the process and the amount of rainfall through the late summer and early fall determines the vibrancy of the colors. Both of those, I believe, come under the heading of weather.

That one is easy.
Say it long enough every year and it could eventually happen.

“The “weather” does not creat fall colors.”

It greatly affects the colors year to year

As the daily amount of sunlight decreases, the chlorophyll (green in color) which helps photosynthesis to occur(the feeding of the tree) starts to leave the leaves, thus the true color of the leaf shows.

No, it is the sunlight effecting photosynthesis.

“In autumn when it starts to get cold, some plants stop making chlorophyll. Instead, those plants break down chlorophyll into smaller molecules. As chlorophyll goes away, other pigments start to show their colors. This is why leaves turn yellow or red in fall.”

“When the weather changes, some plants break down all the green pigment. This lets beautiful yellows, oranges, and reds come through in the fall.”

“The best colors are produced when the weather is dry, sunny and cool. Places that are cloudy, damp or warm won’t see the same degree of changing color.”
