During the turbulent summer of 2020, President Donald J. Trump raged at his military and legal advisers, calling them “losers” for objecting to his idea of using federal troops to suppress outbreaks of violence during the nationwide protests over the police murder of George Floyd. It wasn’t the only time Mr. Trump was talked out of using the military for domestic law enforcement — a practice that would carry profound implications for civil liberties and for the traditional constraints on federal power. He repeatedly raised the idea of using troops to secure border states, and even proposed shooting both violent...

On Friday’s broadcast of NewsNation’s “The Hill,” Rep. Gabe Amo (D-RI) responded to arguments that 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris hasn’t taken on inflation during her tenure as Vice President, by stating that “we are seeing the benefits of real, thoughtful policy from President Biden and Vice President Harris” because inflation has declined. After playing video of 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump responding to Harris’ vow to tackle inflation on day one by pointing out that she’s been Vice President for three-and-a-half years, host Blake Burman asked, “Why hasn’t she done it, Congressman?”

Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, has not only been running a basement campaign, but one completely void of details regarding the serious issues Americans are facing. Realizing that something has to be said about the crushing inflation foisted upon Americans by Harris, Biden, and their pals, Harris is unveiling an economic plan at a rally in North Carolina on Friday that would make the old Soviet communists blush. Indeed, finally we will hear an idea from Kamala and its communism. As an answer to the crippling inflation, her answer is a favorite of failed communist regimes...

For months, skeptics of DEI mandates have celebrated as Silicon Valley, Wall Street, and even the Ivy League have rolled back DEI programs. The Supreme Court’s 2023 ruling against affirmative action appeared to cool Americans’ re-infatuation with treating people differently according to race. But history should temper our optimism. Some recent policy changes look less like a full-fledged rout and more like a strategic maneuver. Take, for instance, the universities that have recently abandoned mandatory diversity statements from job applicants. For decades, hiring committees have used such statements as a tool to discriminate against right-of-center viewpoints and white or Asian...

Vice President Kamala Harris promised to prioritize a price-fixing plan on "day one," but commentators asked why she hasn't brought down inflation already while in the executive branch. "When I am President, it will be a day one priority to bring down prices," Harris declared in a Thursday night social media post. "I’ll take on big corporations that engage in illegal price gouging and corporate landlords that unfairly raise rents on working families." But the vice president and presidential hopeful faces one unique challenge in arguing about policy, the fact she has failed to enact such changes over the course...

Liberal panelists on CNN were left clutching their pearls when Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-NC) mispronounced Vice President Kamala Harris‘ first name. During Abby Phillip’s Thursday program featuring commentary on a package examining pro-Trump, Black-owned businesses selling merchandise for the Republican’s campaign, one guest became triggered by her comments.

Eerie new photos of Trump shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks have raised more questions about the failed assassination attempt. One of the images captures the 20-year-old Crooks perched on a wall in a grassy area on July 13 at the Butler, Pennsylvania rally - just moments before he opened fire. In the picture, Crooks can be seen holding up his cell phone - as if chatting to someone on a call. Investigators have still not determined what Crooks' motive was or whether he was indeed acting alone. The other picture captures the moment Crooks turns to look over his shoulder while...

A STORY EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW: HARRIS, BIDEN, AND GIANFRANCO TORRES-NAVARRO. If the Trump campaign has any say in it, voters should learn the name of Gianfranco Torres-Navarro. According to U.S. authorities, Torres-Navarro is the leader of a Peruvian crime gang and is thought to be personally responsible for 23 murders. He is a notorious figure in Peru, where he is known as “Gianfranco 23,” clearly “a reference to the number of people he is alleged to have killed,” according to the Associated Press. He has a girlfriend who, also according to the Associated Press, “has a sizable following on the...

General Mike Flynn @GenFlynn This is exceptional and must go viral. If America loses its freedom, it will never recover. On May 26, 2018, Brandon Straka shared a video about why he was walking away from the Democrat Party. That video went viral and launched the #WalkAway Campaign, a movement that led to hundreds of thousands of people sharing their own stories and videos of walking away from liberalism and the political left. Now, 6 years later, Brandon follows up his original video with the first ever "sequel" to it. In this new video, Brandon states in rapid fire succession...

The bureaucratic protocols dictating police behavior are merely the amoral tools used to enforce the will and the values of government and the ruling class as a whole. Seventeen years ago, ten-year-old Jordan Lyon drowned in a pond in Wigan, Lancashire (England) while trying to save his eight-year-old sister. According to witness testimony, two police community support officers stood by and watched, as they did not have orders to enter the water and provide assistance. Nine years ago, 17-year-old Jack Susianta drowned in a 6-foot-deep canal in Clapton, East London. Again, police officers stood by, unable or unwilling to help....

China announced Friday it will begin screening people and goods entering the country for mpox over the next six months, just two days after the World Health Organization declared the virus a global health emergency. People travelling from countries where virus outbreaks have occurred, who have been in contact with mpox cases or display symptoms should “take the initiative to declare to customs when entering the country”, China’s customs administration said in a statement. Vehicles, containers and items from areas with mpox cases should also be sanitized, the statement added.

Russia is “rapidly approaching” a key military hub in eastern Ukraine, a local official has said, as Moscow continues its advances despite Kyiv’s surprise gains in its enemy’s Kursk region. While Pokrovsk is not a major city – about 60,000 people lived there before the war and many have left since the start of the full-scale invasion – it serves as a key hub for the Ukrainian military thanks to its easy access to Kostiantynivka, another military center. Ukrainian troops use the road connecting the two to resupply the front lines and evacuate casualties toward Dnipro. Serhii Dobriak, head of...

More than 20,000 protesters are expected to cram into a 1.4 mile-long court-approved protest route near Democratic National Convention in Chicago next week, creating a potential standoff between demonstrators and a police department with a history of excessive force. The 264 protest groups that have said will participate are primarily focused on Palestinian rights, ending the war in Gaza and reducing U.S. aid to Israel. Others represent a patchwork of left-leaning causes: climate activists, socialists, anti-racist organizations, queer and trans rights groups. Arab American groups in the Chicago area, home to the country’s largest Palestinian American community, said local police...
