Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Dear Father in Heaven,
Blessed Are You, Oh LORD,
Our God,
King of the Universe,
Ancient of Days,
Our Rock and Our Redeemer!
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise,
For You Alone Are Worthy; You Alone Are Holy;
You Alone Are Righteous and Just;
And You Alone Are The One True God of Abraham!
How Wonderful Are Your Precepts;
How Precious Is Your WORD!
How Eternal and Sure Are Your Promises!
Abba Father,
In a world of Duplicity,
In A World of Unfaithfulness,
It is natural for some people to assume that You have
Forgotten Your Promises.
Have They Not Heard?
Even when we are not Faithful, You Are.
The Grass Withers,
And The Flowers Fade,
But Your Word Abides Forever.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

About thirty years ago, I was introduced to Korean Food. I had been driving home from a gig in Brighton, MA, when I came upon what I think may have been the only Korean Restaurant in the Greater Boston Area. I had never had Korean Food , so I asked the Proprietor what she recommended. She said that "Bibimbop" was the "National Favorite Dish", and I should try it.
And, so, I ordered Bibimbop and LOVED it. Whenever I was in Brighton, I would go to that little restaurant and order it. I liked it so much I wrote a song about it:
I was visiting Korea
When I stopped to eat in Seoul
I was served some pickled vegetables
Arranged neatly in a bowl
Like the Moon over a rice field
An egg was sitting up on top
Some meat, some rice, some hot sauce
They call it Bibimbop.
Bop, Bop, Bibimbop
Bop Bop Bibimbop,
Some meat, some rice, some hot sauce
They call it Bibimbop.
(From the Song "Bibimbop c 2002 MLK)
Evidently, there wasn't a big demand for Korean Food in 1990's Brighton, and the restaurant folded. No more Bibimbop could be had, it seemed, unless I was willing to go INTOWN Boston and pay ridiculous prices for a bowl of rice and veggies. Then I moved to Florida.
At the time, South Florida was as diverse as it gets with regard to food. There were Cuban Restaurants, Jamaican Restaurants, Indian Restaurants, Brazilian Steakhouses, Sushi Buffets, Chain Restaurants Galore, and Israeli Bistros. The Drummer from IRON MAIDEN had a BBQ joint with a little stage so that we could jam with Nikko while dining on Ribs and Chicken Wings. It was Restaurant Heaven, but I still couldn't find a place that served Bibimbop.
Finally, I found a little Sushi Place on the Palm Beach County Line that had a Korean Chef...and Bibimbop was on the menu!
At least three days a week, if my lessons took me to Boca Raton, I would stop there and have my Bibimbop. The chef was so thrilled that somebody was ordering "The Favorite National Dish" of Korea, that she would come to my table and chat with me. We became friends.
Then I moved back to Massachusetts, to the Great Bibimbop Desert Of The Northeast.
I've been here for eight years now, and every morning I walk my dog two miles in one direction and two miles back on a main road. About a mile away from my house is a Sushi Joint that I had tried when I first moved here and I wasn't thrilled. I walked by it twice a day and passed it by without wanting to give it another chance.
Then, my sister told me that it was becoming a local favorite since new owners had taken over, about seven years ago. So last night, we went there, to find out if it was any good.
They Had BIBIMBOP! It was Spectacular. Not Too pricey either. I'm SO HAPPY. (Now I have to resist the temptation to eat there all the time.A NEW Challenge!)
It is a common notion that the Holy Spirit is a "New Testament" idea. But here we see, hidden in plain sight, various manifestations of The Holy Spirit in the very first Book of the Torah, in the earliest Chapters. We have already seen The Spirit of God hovering over the waters at the time of Creation, The Breath of Life entering Adam to make him a living soul, the Breath of Life in the creatures of the earth, and God's Spirit striving with Mankind. Now we see the same "Wind of God", parting the waters, just as He will do again in the Exodus.
While the Torah declares the Presence of the Father and the Spirit from the Very Beginning, The first line of John's Gospel affirms the Presence of the Word, or The Son at that same Beginning.
Just as that little restaurant had been serving my favorite dish for nearly eight years, I had chosen to walk right by it, every day. I hadn't been willing to check it out, but when I did, I found out that it had been a great place to eat.
Who knew that The Holy Spirit has had a Leading Role in one of the beloved Bible Story of Noah's Ark!
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)
God Bless America.

Psalm 3
A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom.
1 O Lord, how many are my foes!
Many are rising against me;
2 many are saying to me,
‘There is no help for you* in God.’
Selah
3 But you, O Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
4 I cry aloud to the Lord,
and he answers me from his holy hill.
Selah
5 I lie down and sleep;
I wake again, for the Lord sustains me.
6 I am not afraid of tens of thousands of people
who have set themselves against me all around.
7 Rise up, O Lord!
Deliver me, O my God!
For you strike all my enemies on the cheek;
you break the teeth of the wicked.
8 Deliverance belongs to the Lord;
may your blessing be on your people!
Selah
