While the Ukrainian situation in the battlefield keeps getting from bad to worse, and in the aftermath of Joe Biden’s resigning from the Presidential race, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his team have to re-caliber their approach to the bilateral relations with the US, without which they can’t continue their disastrous war effort. But in doing so, Zelensky has to pay close attention to the public opinion in his country, so he is presently doing parallel PR movements: one towards the Trump world and other publicly repudiating it for domestic consumption. It is now reported that his team has long...

[Catholic Caucus] Some Reflections for Our Catholic Friends Who Freely Denounce Traditional CatholicsAs Catholics, we hear that we are schismatics, heretics, and enemies of the Church; as those who refuse to take experimental Covid shots, we hear that we are science-deniers and enemies of society. And, thanks be to God, none of that unhinged nonsense impels us to abandon what we know is right.“And why seest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye; and seest not the beam that is in thy own eye? Or how sayest thou to thy brother: Let me cast the mote out of...

In a new book, Donald Trump’s nephew recalls the future US president, at the start of his New York real estate career, surveying damage to a beloved car and furiously using the N-word. The shocking scene appears in All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Got This Way by Fred C Trump III, which will be published in the US next Tuesday. The Guardian obtained a copy. “‘N****rs,’ I recall him saying disgustedly. ‘Look what the n****rs did,’” Fred Trump writes, describing his uncle’s racist outburst. ...

The same agency that failed to protect former President Donald Trump from a would-be assassin’s bullet is now asking the GOP’s presidential candidate to stop holding large outdoor campaign rallies. The request from the grossly incompetent (at best) federal agency stinks of election interference and sounds a lot like a threat. As The Washington Post first reported Tuesday evening, the U.S. Secret Service is “encouraging” the Trump campaign to halt the large-scale events his supporters have grown accustomed to. “In the aftermath of the shooting, agents from the Secret Service communicated their concerns about large outdoor rallies going forward to Trump...

An Asian woman’s disturbing description of being randomly attacked by a drug addict outside a Long Island City restaurant has gone viral — as she’s left terrified after the shocking incident. Chinese immigrant Runing Lao, 30, told The Post she’s scared to go back to work since the surprise attack as she left the Chipotle near the corner of Purves Street and Jackson Avenue at about 1 p.m. on July 17. “I was maybe five or 10 steps away from Chipotle … and this woman just starts to beat me for no reason,” Lao, who works in real estate, said...

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville warned supporters of Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential run that beating Donald Trump isn’t going to be easy. Carville, who appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Wednesday, told co-host Mika Brzezinski that even though funding for Harris’ presidential campaign is off to a record-setting start, her supporters should face the reality that there’s tough road ahead. “It’s going to be very close, and I understand that people are feeling a lot better and excited. But that excitement has got to be tempered with realism, and the realism is she has a tough campaign,” Carville said.

Right now, the more interesting question is not who’s backing Kamala, but who’s in charge of her. For she is not only wildly unpopular in most polling, but she is also the VP who lost 92% of her staff in her first three years in that office. We can surmise that Kamala needs a lot of forceful “direction” from Obama’s stick-it-to-them backroom boys and girls. The MSM is already telling us, as they will do, that we cannot criticize Kamala—full stop. DEI is in full control of the dialogue, with Kamala’s awkwardly giddy arrival on the present stage. With Her...

Daily Readings from the USCCBOn that day, Jesus went out of the house and sat down by the sea. Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd stood along the shore. And he spoke to them at length in parables… Matthew 13:1–3Why did Jesus speak in parables? In today’s Gospel, Jesus goes on to teach the familiar “Parable of the Sower.” Immediately after that parable in today’s Gospel, the disciples do ask Jesus this question. They ask, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” Jesus responds to them,...

A pro-Palestinian organization posted a video Wednesday in which it purported to have unleashed maggots and other critters at Washington, DC’s Watergate hotel, where some of the Israeli delegation was staying. The video showed critters spread out across a table flanked by Israeli and American flags in the background. “Palestine protestors manufactured chaos at the Watergate Hotel last night so that Netanyahu, Israeli Mossad agents, and the Secret Service had no peace as they continue to terrorize our people,” the Palestinian Youth Movement posted on X.

On July 24, 1969, Apollo 11 was 47,000 miles from Earth and rapidly accelerating toward its home planet when astronauts Neil A. Armstrong, Edwin E. “Buzz” Aldrin, and Michael Collins awoke for their last day in space, preparing for their splashdown in the Pacific Ocean 950 miles southwest of Hawaii. The previous day, managers were forced to move the splashdown point by 250 miles to the northeast due to inclement weather at the original recovery site. The aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CVS-12), the prime recovery ship for Apollo 11, was speeding for the new splashdown target area. Overcast skies made...

The growing undocumented immigrant population in the U.S. will lower the deficit by nearly a trillion dollars over the next decade, according to a study by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). CBO’s projections are based on the net sum of economic activity generated, taxes paid and benefits allotted to the immigrant groups included in the study. The nonpartisan agency estimates a net population increase of 8.7 million such immigrants between 2021 and 2026, averaging an increase of 1.7 million people per year above the pre-2020 average annual net immigration of 200,000. CBO based its projections on the economic effects that...

Many conspiracy theorists and far-right commentators are spreading doubts that President Biden is alive after he posted a letter on Sunday resigning from his presidential campaign. The theory is baseless. Mr. Biden, who learned he had Covid on July 17 and has been in isolation since, called into a campaign event for Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday, and the two exchanged praise and playful ba

Donald Trump's would-be assassin Thomas Crooks was flying a drone above the rally site two hours before the shooting and just 200 yards away from the stage, FBI Director Christopher Wray has revealed. Wray made the bombshell revelation to Congress on Wednesday during a grilling by lawmakers on the investigation into the assassination attempt on the former president and the massive security failures. Crooks shot Trump in the ear just 400 feet away from the stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13 from the roof of a nearby building just outside the security perimeter of the event. Wray revealed that...

Credit: @StefWKight ============================================================================= The corporate media’s whitewashing of Kamala Harris’s dangerous record is kicking into overdrive as they try to desperately keep President Trump from winning a second term. Conservative social media users caught one outlet’s “reporter” in the act of doing precisely this and did not mince words. Axios published an article on Wednesday titled “Harris border confusion haunts her new campaign.” The outlet notes that Joe Biden asked Harris to help him with the immigration crisis, which has arguably become her most significant vulnerability as her presidential campaign gets underway. But Axios then runs cover for Harris and...

Pro-Palestinian protesters will make their presence known around the Capitol on Wednesday ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to a joint session of Congress, scheduled for 2 p.m. EDT. A group of Jewish protesters was arrested in the Cannon office building Tuesday afternoon, and thousands of demonstrators are expected to turn out for a rally on Wednesday, demanding the arrest of Netanyahu, who has been charged with war crimes by the International Criminal Court. A number of Democrats have said they will boycott the speech, which comes at the invitation of Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), as anger boils...

Paris — Thousands of athletes and spectators from around the world have descended on Paris for the looming 2024 Summer Olympics. They've brought with them the potential for a COVID-19 outbreak to spread within the tightly confined Games atmosphere. Officials expect Paris to receive as many as 15 million visitors, including 2 million tourists from abroad, during the Games. Dr. Céline Gounder, CBS News medical contributor and editor-at-large for public health at KFF Health News, said Wednesday on "CBS Mornings" that a current spike in cases across the U.S. is likely due to the coronavirus continuing to mutate, and to...

WASHINGTON, DC: Sean Hannity once again attacked Kamala Harris after she was endorsed by Joe Biden for the Presidential race. The broadcaster claimed that the Vice President has been “experiencing a sugar high” following Biden’s drop out from the November election as it might open a door for her towards the White House.

About 200 people were arrested Tuesday during a pro-Palestinian protest in a congressional building the day before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to address lawmakers. The demonstration, which took place in the Cannon House Office Building, was organized by Jewish Voice for Peace. U.S. Capitol Police said they warned protesters, who were chanting pro-Palestinian slogans, before the arrests began that demonstrating in the building was unlawful. No one appeared to resist arrest. Capitol Police lightly tapped protesters on the shoulder to stand up, arrested them with white zip ties and escorted them out of the building slowly. Stefanie...
