BERLIN (AP) – Climate activists glued themselves to the ground at Cologne-Bonn Airport in western Germany on Wednesday, forcing officials to suspend flights for a few hours, authorities said. Police said five people glued themselves to a taxiway at the airport early in the morning, German news agency dpa reported. Flights were suspended for about three hours from about 5:45 a.m. while officers worked to remove the protesters. CHICAGO — Police are investigating five robberies, some of which turned violent, that were reported early Tuesday morning in the Loop, Lincoln Park, and Lakeview. There are indications that the same people may have committed some of the crimes. In one incident, a 22-year-old woman was pepper sprayed and robbed near the Lincoln Park Zoo around 12:15 a.m. She was near the intersection of Fullerton and Cannon Drive when a man sprayed her and took her phone, according to initial information. A former aide to Gov. Kathy Hochul reportedly had her $3.5 million Long Island home raided by the FBI early Tuesday. The feds carried out the pre-dawn search at the five-bedroom property where Linda Sun, one of Hochul’s former deputy chiefs of staff, lives in a gated community in Manhasset, the New York Times reported. A new video circulating online shows an alleged attack on the M/V Pumba in the Red Sea using an Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) seemingly loaded with explosives. The USV was subsequently destroyed after Pumba’s embarked armed security team returned fire on the vessel, causing it to explode just off the stern. Houthis spokesperson claimed the group targeted the Pumba in the Red Sea on July 20, describing the vessel as an “American ship.” The M/V Pumba is a Liberian-flagged containership.
