British Foreign Secretary David Cameron flew to Mar-a-Lago on Monday and a meeting with former President Donald Trump as part of his quest to push senior Republicans to unlock money for Ukraine. The former Conservative prime minister says victory for Ukraine is “vital for American and European security.” The former president and presumptive Republican candidate is less enamored with continued U.S. taxpayer-funded support while House of Representatives lawmakers aligned with him are holding up the $60 billion aid package for Kyiv.

State insurance regulators are taking the first steps on what will be long and difficult effort to mitigate climate impacts. Foremost it will require cooperation and buy in. To that end, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners took the rare step of holding a media briefing Friday to again spotlight its landmark National Climate Resilience Strategy. Adopted March 18, the strategy is a desperately needed first step, said Andrew Mais, Connecticut insurance commissioner and 2024 president of the NAIC. “The goal of a strategy is to drive faster and more effective risk reduction by state insurance regulators to ensure that...

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The FBI on Saturday arrested an 18-year-old in Idaho for reportedly attempting to provide material support and resources to the Islamic State group. The arrest came one day before the suspect was allegedly going to carry out a series of attacks on Idaho churches in the name of ISIS. Alexander Scott Mercurio, of Coeur d'Alene, allegedly pledged allegiance to ISIS and planned to carry out attacks on churches in the city on Sunday using "knives, firearms, and fire," according to a statement released by the Department of Justice. "The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force conducted...

The "last copier in the woods" scenario is showing up somewhat sooner than scheduled. In Scotland, Ireland, Canada and elsewhere, the micro-regulation of speech - even in your own home - is being imposed without much in the way of coherent political pushback. Likewise in the land of the First Amendment, my misplaced faith in which has cost me twelve years of my life and millions of dollars in the choked septic tank of DC "justice". It is, however, even worse for others: at least I was "sued"; there was a "case", a "controversry" to be "litigated" and "adjudicated". By...

A brazen mugger was caught punching and robbing an elderly woman outside Queens church in New York on Sunday. The woman, 68, was viciously attacked and robbed outside St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Queens, the New York Post reported. While the age of the assailant is unknown, it is believed he is significantly younger than the victim.

One of nature’s most important keystone species is working itself to death. Colonies of honey bees — crucial pollinators for a wide variety of plants and cash crops — are at risk of collapse because of climate change, a recent study by scientists at Washington State University and the U.S. Department of Agriculture found. Long and warmer fall months across the Pacific Northwest encourage bees to emerge from their colonies when they should be resting, said Gloria DeGrandi-Hoffman, a research leader at the USDA’s Carl Hayden Bee Research Center in Arizona. “When it’s warm out, they fly and when they...

Just weeks after teasing the launch of its fourth all-electric model and promising some impressive specs, China’s IM Motors has officially opened pre-orders for its L6 Sedan. The automaker confirmed earlier today that the L6 will be powered by semi-solid-state batteries, offer a range of over 1,000km (620 miles), and deliver unique maneuvers like crabwalk and an intelligent driving chassis. As we recapped in late March, IM Motors is a fairly young Chinese automaker specializing in EVs that operates as a joint venture between SAIC Motor and Alibaba. Since its 2020 inception, IM Motor has launched three vehicles overseas: the...

President Biden has repeated a lie that he was the first person in his family to attend college — more than three decades after first admitting it’s not true. The oldest-ever president repeated the untrue claim while touting his efforts to bail out student loan borrowers during a stop Monday at a college in the swing state of Wisconsin. “I, like an awful lot of people in this audience, was the first in my family to go to college and watched my dad struggle to get there,” he said. Biden, 81, has been called out several times before for making...

I recently learned where and how vitamin B12 is made. Moat of it is in the form of cyanocobalamin which is used to make synthetic B12. Cyanocobalamin is derived from sewage or milorganite which it is reffered to. Milorganite is also used for fertilizer. Worse, 2/3 of the stuff is manufactured in China. It is in all kinds of cereals, vitamnins, breads, etc. A more healthy option is methylcobalamin. Check it out, many sources available. It may be safe (cyanocobalamin) but it's disgusting never the less.

Text messages shown in court reveal that an investigator with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' office hit on a witness while working on a case. As the YSL (Young Slime Life) RICO trial against rapper Young Thug, whose legal name is Jeffrey Williams, and several co-defendants continued on Monday, new details emerged about the conduct of an investigator for Willis' office. While questioning a female witness identified as A. Bennett on the stand, an attorney for Williams asked about messages that the witness received from a county investigator named Hamilton. Among the text messages was one from Hamilton that...

President Biden has done more to address climate change than any of his predecessors. So far, voters don’t seem to care. The Biden campaign and a collection of progressive groups are trying to change that. They believe the president’s record on climate change can boost his popularity with young voters. The strategy is risky because climate has never been a priority with voters. A Journal poll, which surveyed voters in seven swing states in March, found that just 3% of 18-to-34-year-old voters named climate change as their top issue, with most citing the economy, inflation or immigration. That is roughly...

Whoopi Goldberg caught attention on social media again for all the wrong reasons, making headlines for her inane meltdown over former President Trump’s latest remarks on abortions. The co-hosts of “The View” weighed in on Trump’s stance which he shared on Truth Social, saying he supports in vitro fertilization (IVF) and that states should individually determine their abortion laws, making exceptions for rape, incest, and dangers to the life of the mother. Goldberg declared that abortion isn’t included in the Ten Commandments during Monday’s episode of the ABC daytime talk show, throwing in some head-scratching arguments in favor of killing...

Here's something we learned just from Politico's headline: Republicans are waging a crusade against electric cars, and they might regret that in the 2024 election. Politico is correct if waging a crusade against electric cars means opposing EV mandates and impossible deadlines. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm wants the entire U.S. military fleet to be electric by 2030. It was Politico who told us last December that the Biden administration's $7.5 billion allocation had led to exactly zero charges being installed two years later. It's funny … Politico told us one year ago that Republicans were stoking the fires of the...

Rep. Nancy Mace is announcing new legislation Tuesday to expand the ability of the federal government to deport illegal immigrants with domestic violence or sex offense criminal records. The legislation also explicitly bars migrants with domestic violence or sex offense convictions from being able to enter the U.S. “By preventing illegals with a history of sex offenses or domestic violence from entering our country and swiftly deporting those who have committed such crimes, we’re taking concrete steps to ensure that women can live free from fear and harm,” Ms. Mace’s office said. “We will always prioritize the safety and well-being...

On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Last Word,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) stated that if 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump wins in 2024, he’ll nominate more judges who believe that unelected federal agency officials shouldn’t make crucial policy decisions and that this should be left to Congress. While discussing judicial nominees and courts, Klobuchar said, “It matters, you…are going to discuss later in your program whether or not a president is above the law, whether or not he can claim immunity for any act, because that’s what Donald Trump is claiming. We know, with the Mifepristone decision,...

Kazakhstan’s Defense Ministry has cancelled commemorative events, including a military parade, on May 9 to mark the Soviet defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II. Political and economic factors appear to have played a role in the decision. Victory Day, as the May 9 celebration is known across the former Soviet Union, has become Russia’s primary state holiday in the years since 1991. Elsewhere in the former Soviet empire, the occasion has receded in significance. In Kazakhstan, a military parade hasn’t been on May 9 since 2019. Even so, commemorative events honoring veterans have continued to be staged across...

On Monday’s broadcast of CBS’s “Late Show,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) stated that the student loan plan announced by President Joe Biden earlier in the day is “hope” for those who benefit from the plan to be able to do different things, including traveling abroad. Ocasio-Cortez said, “Actually, I’m going to be one of the few” that doesn’t get any benefits from the program, “I’m a member of Congress. I’m a little bit outside the threshold and bounds. But, if I wasn’t, just a few years ago, waitress me, five years ago, would have benefited from it. Congresswoman me will...

The Protect the Public’s Trust complaint supports the idea that Big Government is the sole source of the #ClimateCrisis. A non-partisan watchdog group asserts that a key agency monitoring weather disaster outcomes for the Biden administration used misleading and self-serving data analysis to claim storms are becoming more extreme and expensive due to climate change. Protect the Public’s Trust cited a new study that combed through data used by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for its climate and disaster tracking project and found it inflated damages and made inexplicable data calculations that did not factor in obvious contributions to...
