The FBI must provide information from Seth Rich's laptop computer to a Texas man, a federal judge ruled on Nov. 28. The bureau's attempt to challenge an earlier order to produce the information failed to persuade U.S. District Judge Amos Mazzant, who said the bureau's assertions of exemptions to a federal law were unsupported. Judge Mazzant, appointed under President Barack Obama, ordered the FBI in September 2022 to hand over information from Mr. Rich's computer to the Texas man, who had asked for it under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The FBI claimed that Mr. Rich's family members had...

The Saudi capital Riyadh on Tuesday won the right to host the 2030 World Expo, defeating rival bids from Italy and South Korea as well as overcoming objections from rights activists to take hold of another global mega-event. With a pledge for an Expo "built by the world for the world", Saudi's bid smashed the opposition after a years-long lobbying campaign whose intensity caused some gnashing of teeth among its Italian rivals. The World Expo -- which traces its history back to the 1851 Great Exhibition in London and the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris that saw the construction of...

Police in South Carolina have arrested a truck driver after he allegedly absconded with cargo he was supposed to deliver. Specifically, he took off with 20 tons of chicken. What was the man's plan? Just to eat all that chicken? What is one man supposed to do with 20 TONS of chicken? (Actually, the plan was a little more ingenious than it appears on the surface.) 55-year-old Christopher Thomas was supposed to deliver 41,000 pounds of chicken for Pilgrim's Pride Plant in Sumter, SC, to two locations in Milton, Georgia. But, thinking he could get away with it, Thomas made...

'His War' is Andrey Zakharov's historical investigation into Vladimir Putin and the war he unleashed in Ukraine back in 2014. For ten years now, journalists from around the world have been gathering evidence on how exactly this war began. In this film, we have compiled all the evidence together. This includes wiretaps of conversations among Russian officials and separatists, email leaks, and most importantly, confessions from the participants of the 'Russian Spring.' Why did Putin specifically provoke the Euromaidan? How did the Kremlin prepare for the annexation of Crimea? And why did Russia's intervention in Ukraine's internal affairs become the...

Dear friends, two thousand years ago, Simeon was "waiting" for His Savior's first advent (Luke 2:25)! This same word "waiting" is used in (Titus 2:13), “Looking" for the blessed hope! Simeon was "waiting" with all eager anticipation and expectancy, "looking" for the Messiah to come, longing for the Messiah to come, eagerly expecting His first coming! Oh dear friends, how many believers in this same Jesus today look with all eager anticipation and expectancy like Simeon did 2000 years ago, not for Messiah's first coming but for His return for His Body in the clouds? Tragically, not too many. Simeon...

And EVs are about the newest technology out there,” Barry said. “And it’s taking a while, even for established carmakers...

The government’s action in imposing CAFE standards, which was intended to curb oil consumption, helped prompt the creation of the SUV and subsequent “gas guzzling.” Oil exploration in Alaska’s Artic National Wildlife Refuge has once again become possible, if not probable, after the U.S. House of Representatives recently passed a major energy bill. Environmentalists reacted by renewing their call for raising Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards in order to lower American consumption of oil and decrease fuel emissions. But CAFE has proven itself a failure. The Energy Policy Conservation Act of 1975 established CAFE standards as a reaction to the...

Afghanistan is not just a place, it’s where the Afghans are. The Taliban and Al Qaeda were not left behind in the dust of Kabul, they are making the long trek into Europe. The Hungarians have tried to build a wall, but much as the Chinese learned during the Mongolian invasions or the Israelis learned on Oct 7, it’s not enough to build a wall, you have to vigilantly defend it. And given enough time, the barbarians will find a way around it, under it, over it or through it. Walls alone do not stop an invasion. Eventually you will...

Fifty-four House lawmakers, Democrat and Republican, conservative and progressive, called on House Speaker Mike Johnson Wednesday not to extend a controversial deep state surveillance law in a defense bill. Reps. Warren Davidson (R-OH) and Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), two skeptics of government surveillance, spearheaded the letter, which comes weeks before the year-end deadline of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). Section 702 is a law that allows intelligence agencies to collect communications of targeted foreigners. It also may lead to targeted surveillance of Americans’ private communications, which privacy advocates consider a run around the Fourth Amendment’s requirement for...

Two Tennessee teenagers have been released without bond after being charged with shooting a 15-year-old in the head due to the county's new 'progressive' bail system. Edio White, 18 and Conner Tucker, 15, were driving to 15-year-old Anthony Mason's home in Memphis on Thanksgiving Day. The pair attempted to use a staged firearm deal to rob Mason, who was seen leaving his house that morning and engaging with two people inside a vehicle. According to police, when the deal went south, the teenagers began to struggle over the gun, with Tucker pointing a gun outside the car and shooting Mason...

The U.S. will attend COP28 climate talks this week as it sets new records in the extraction of oil and gas. The federal government is forecasting a surge in the production of the fossil fuels this year, and output is projected to remain high until 2050. The summit opening Thursday in Dubai, meanwhile, is expected to agree on a “phaseout” of the fuels to contain planet-heating emissions. The Biden administration, while passing laws to incentivize clean energy production and curb gases, has also granted drilling leases on public lands.

A study conducted at Bangor University found that people with "communal personalities" – who were more caring, sensitive and aware of others' needs – adhered the most rigorously to the lockdown protocols. These types of people displayed the highest levels of continuing disturbance to their mental wellbeing during the post-lockdown period. In contrast, people with "agentic personalities" – who are more independent, more competitive and like to have control over their lives – were less compliant with the lockdown protocols. These types of people have been able to bounce back better from lockdown mode. In Scotland, disabled people were secretly...

Former President Donald Trump urged New York City Mayor Eric Adams and former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo Wednesday to “fight” a state law that spurred thousands of sexual abuse cases to be filed in the last year — including lawsuits filed against both Democrats last week. “I hope that Mayor Eric Adam’s [sic], Andrew Cuomo, and all of the others that got sued based on this ridiculous law where someone can be sued decades later, and with no proof, will fight it on being totally unfair and UNCONSTITUTIONAL,” Trump posted on Truth Social early Wednesday morning. “I got sued,...
