Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., says the Biden campaign should not use TikTok for their 2024 campaign because of the national security threats it poses to the U.S., pointing out that the president banned TikTok on U.S. government devices. SEN. TOM COTTON: It's not just that governors have banned it [TikTok], Joe Biden has banned it. We passed legislation last year that banned TikTok on U.S. Government devices. Yet, Joe Biden's campaign is now thinking, apparently, about going on to TikTok. So just think about that. You have all of these senior aides at the White House who carry two phones,...

Faculty at a Massachusetts high school have canceled "USA Day" from its spirit week activities this year because they wanted to "avoid politics," local outlets reported this week. In a letter to the school community, Wellesley High School principal Jamie Chisum explained that school staff canceled the patriotic-themed day to avoid a topic that had become "politicized." "USA Day" was slated to be held on the last day of the high school’s festive week, allowing kids to dress up in their patriotic gear and celebrate America. The theme was replaced by "Fitness Friday," though students were still invited to wear...

Julie Kelly 🇺🇸 @julie_kelly2 The most underreported story of J6 is widespread police brutality against American citizens. I am working on releasing another trove that is sickening to watch. Meanwhile, here’s what police did to individuals peacefully assembled in the Rotunda.

An Ohio man – who claimed he was a victim of an anti-Palestinian hate crime – has been arrested after authorities suspect he faked the attack. Hesham A. Ayyad claimed that he was attacked for being Palestinian. He alleged that he was walking at 4:10 p.m. on Oct. 22 on a street in North Ridgeville, Ohio. Ayyad told officials at the Cleveland chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations that someone driving a dark-colored SUV approached him on the road. Ayyad, of North Olmsted, said that he was the victim of a hit and run by the SUV. The day...

A female boxer withdraw from a Canadian tournament citing safety fears after being told hours before the fight that her opponent is transgender. Dr. Katia Bissonette had been due to face off with Mya Walmsley at the 2023 Provincial Golden Glove Championship in Victoriaville, Quebec. The pair were matched up in the event, which intends to give novices a chance to qualify for December’s Canadian Championship, last month but Bissonette says she learned at an hour’s notice that Walmsley is transgender. She subsequently withdrew from the fight at the last minute. Walmsley reportedly arrived for the fight to discover her...

Although artificial intelligence is in its early stages in the health-care industry, it already has triggered legal action. A class-action lawsuit filed on Tuesday alleges that UnitedHealthcare used an artificial intelligence algorithm to wrongfully deny coverage under Medicare Advantage health policies. The insurer made health-care determinations using its nH Predict algorithm, overrode physician recommendations, and denied elderly patients’ claims for stays in extended-care facilities, according to the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. The plaintiffs also alleged the technology lets the company “aggressively deny coverage, because they know they will not be held accountable for...

Harvard is an entirely antisemitic university. The president says soothing words to her Jewish audiences and does not have the internal fortitude to punish the little monsters that the American educational system has created, and her university nurtures. If there were any positive outcomes of the Covid disaster—disease and response—it might be that parents became aware of what their children were being taught. Parents casually walking behind their kids while the latter were “learning” via Zoom heard discussions of sexual orientation, the US as a terrible country, and the demented concepts of intersectionality that made those parents and their kids...

Below is a longer version of my column in the New York Post on the leaking of the interviews of former counsel to Donald Trump. The interviews could magnify the difficulties for both Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and Special Counsel Jack Smith in their respective prosecutions. These cases still represent a serious threat to Trump, but these prosecutors must first overcome a glaring potential contradiction. That does not mean that Christie and the other candidates will not get a “Spring Break” with a conviction, but it could prove more challenging even with highly favorable jury pools. Here is the column:This...

Someone commented that Milei in Argentina is perhaps the MOST libertarian elected figure in the WORLD since Calvin Coolidge was elected president. Can any FR historians tell me about Mr. Coolidge and his administration? I want to know where I can get an unbiased account as you know from the usual sources it's impossible.

Citing the need for equity, lawmakers in several Democrat-controlled states have passed measures recently that make it harder to discipline students who act up in the classroom.Schools in California, Illinois, Minnesota, Maryland, and other states have adopted student discipline systems based on "restorative justice" instead of suspending students for bad behavior. That means, instead of giving students penalties for misbehavior, schools use "empathetic communication" to explain to students why their misbehavior is harmful. But at least one state has struck out in a different direction in the hopes of improving student success. In Oklahoma, Ryan Walters, the state superintendent of public instruction, has...

Joe and Jill Biden on Sunday kicked off an advance screening of “Wonka” for military servicemembers and their families. Biden wandered out on stage and incoherently rambled for about two minutes before shuffling away. At one point Joe Biden was struggling so bad that Jill Biden urgently whispered something to him to help him along the way. “I like kids more than people,” Biden blurted out after an awkward minute of mumbling. It’s about time Californians of all ideological persuasions wake up and stop what is possibly the most economically wasteful and environmentally destructive project in American history: the utility scale adoption of offshore wind energy. The California Legislature intends to despoil our coastline and coastal waters with floating wind turbines, 20+ miles offshore, tethered to the sea floor 4,000 feet beneath the waves. Along with tethering cables, high voltage wires will descend from each of these noisy, 1,000 foot tall leviathans, but we’re to assume none of this will disrupt the migrations of our treasured Cetaceans and other marine and avian...

The current war between Israel and Hamas has not only raised questions about the conflict itself but also about the history and politics behind it. One of the more pressing questions concerns the plight of the Palestinian refugees and their descendants, and it is a question that has been asked since the crisis began after Israel’s War of Independence in 1948.The question is: Why haven’t Arab nations taken in Palestinian refugees and assimilated them into their own societies? It would make sense, wouldn’t it? The easiest way for the entities claiming to care about Palestinians to ease their burdens would be...

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — Populist Javier Milei resoundingly won Argentina's presidential election Sunday, swinging the country to the right following a fiercely polarized campaign in which he promised a dramatic shake-up to the state to deal with soaring inflation and rising poverty. With 99.4% of votes tallied in the presidential runoff, Milei had 55.7% and Economy Minister Sergio Massa 44.3%, according to Argentina's electoral authority. It is the widest victory margin in a presidential race since the South American country's return to democracy in 1983. In the streets of Buenos Aires, drivers honked their horns and many took to...

Federal government workers from the State Department to NASA are circulating open letters demanding that President Joe Biden pursue a cease-fire in Israel's war against Hamas. Congressional staffers are picking up microphones in front of the Capitol, speaking out to condemn what they say is the silence of lawmakers about the toll on Palestinian civilians.

On an unknown date in (perhaps) the 860s, Norse raider Ragnar Lodbrok (or Ragnar Lothbrok) was allegedly put to death in the Indiana Jones-esque manner of being cast into a pit of snakes. Ragnar is a half-legendary character who plundered France and Britain in the mid-ninth century, the heyday of Viking marauders; he’s also the lead character of the cable TV series Vikings. He’s known from Scandinavian sagas, like the Ragnarssona Þattr, which describes Ragnar’s final battle after shipwrecking in Northumbria.....
