SÃO PAULO (RNS) — A group of Turkish Muslims has been accused of human trafficking after allegedly persuading poor Indigenous families in Brazil’s Amazon region to let their boys learn Turkish and Arabic and how to study the Quran before sending them to Turkey. The young Amazonians were allegedly subjected to severe discipline and given new names and forbidden to use their own, the police reported. Their families were convinced that the chance to study at universities abroad would improve their lives and didn’t suspect that their children would be badly treated. When the police intervened, 15 boys were living...

This is not the presidential portrait he wanted. A sheriff in Georgia said former President Donald Trump will likely have his mug shot taken if he is hit with a fourth indictment in that state. Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat anticipates authorities will adhere to “normal practices” if Trump receives an indictment for attempting to challenge the 2020 election results in the Peach State. “Unless somebody tells me differently, we are following our normal practices, and so it doesn’t matter your status,” Labat told reporters during a press conference Tuesday. “We’ll have a mug shot ready for you.”

(RNS) — Jerry Falwell Jr., the former president of Liberty University, is suing the school, arguing administrators are committing trademark infringement by using the late Jerry Falwell Sr.’s likeness without consulting with the family. The lawsuit, which was filed in federal court last week on behalf of Falwell Jr. and the family trust, accuses the school of misappropriating “for itself” the name and image of Falwell Sr., the conservative Christian evangelist who co-founded the evangelical university in 1971. “The University has now-repeatedly distributed advertising and promotional materials that use the JERRY FALWELL trademark—as well as Dr. Falwell’s name and image—in...

US Capitol Police evacuated the Senate office building in Washington, DC, Wednesday after receiving reports of a possible active shooter. “Our officers are searching in and around the Senate Office Buildings in response to a concerning 911 call,” the department tweeted at 2:45 p.m. Police asked everyone inside to shelter in place, although reports of gunshots were not confirmed. The city’s Metro Police Department said the active shooter report “appears to be a bad call” and no shooter was located and there were no injuries, according to Politico. Wow, does this message from Rush Limbaugh ring true today. {Direct Rumble Link} WATCH:God Bless Him – We all miss Rush Limbaugh. Before Donald Trump entered politics there was no home for people voting on the issues of a national economic agenda. Both Democrat and Republican candidates had essentially the same worldview on national economic policy because they are all getting money from the same multinational corporate trough. However, President Trump changed that dynamic by presenting an alternative national economic policy called America-First.For decades middle America was begging the McConnell’s, Ryans, Boehners, Romney’s, McCain’s, Bushes, et al, to make America-Fist economic...

And Tried To Overturn The Trump Presidency...Pure Hypocrisy! The Democrats are still bashing Trump for believing he won the 2020 election. The four charges revealed on Aug. 1 centered around Trump’s objections. I will admit that sometimes I prayed President Trump would look toward the future rather than talk about getting cheated in an election that even if he could convince people of the error, he could not change the result. But while we are talking about President Trump’s complaints, Let’s remember that the Democrats and their mainstream media lemmings fought against the results. 2016 election According to the book “Shattered”...

Bidenomics is where the Attorney General Garland gives Hunter Biden blanket amnesty and arrests Biden’s Presidential opponent. Welcome to the United Venezuelan States of America!e The new regime talking points are out – namely that Fitch downgraded the US credit rating from AAA to AA+ on Tuesday because of MAGA Republicans and all things Trump. But while Fitch cited “the expected fiscal deterioration over the next three years, a high and growing general government debt burden, and the erosion of governance relative to ‘AA’ and ‘AAA’ rated peers” as reasons for the downgrade, the Biden administration is of course blaming...

Dem admin invests $3 billion into programs that pursue Golden State's failed 'Housing First' policies ********************************************************** California's homeless population has skyrocketed since the state adopted housing policies that critics say enable drug users and fail to treat the mentally ill. Now, the Biden administration is spending more than $3 billion to replicate those policies. President Joe Biden's Department of Housing and Urban Development in July announced its investment in so-called Housing First programs, which subsidize rent costs for those living on the street but do not impose drug or mental health treatment requirements. California adopted those programs in 2016 and...

Hunter Biden left his multimillion-dollar Venice Beach, California, rental home in a state of 'disarray and disrepair' and owing approximately $80,000 in outstanding rent, DailyMail.com can reveal. The scandal-mired First Son rented the sprawling property on the edge of the Grand Canal two years ago and moved in with his then ten-month old son, Beau, and second wife, Melissa, 37, in February 2021. According to one well-placed source, 'Hunter and Melissa were horrible tenants. Not only did they stiff the owner for months of rent, they left the house in terrible condition.'

One of the most prominent Christian YouTube channels right now is Redeemed Zoomer who stands at a whopping 125K subs on the platform. His most popular content is animated explainers on Christianity. However, he is also working on an ambitious plan to save apostate denominations. Redeemed Zoomer believes that protestants can reconquer these denominations by outlasting the heretics. Thus, the more beautiful church buildings in more prominent real estate will be restored to Bible teaching. On Conversations That Matter, Redeemed Zoomer made a compelling case for his Reconquista strategy, and he is active in this effort in the Presbyterian Church...

A 20-year-old man was hit with a slew of charges Wednesday after crashing a stolen car into multiple vehicles and injuring 10 pedestrians during a chaotic police chase in Midtown Manhattan. Sen. Ted Cruz , R-Texas, said Wednesday that former President Trump's indictment was an attempt by Democrats to boost their chances in the 2024 election. “It is not subtle, and it's not complicated. This is straight out election interference by the Biden Department of Justice," Cruz said on the Wednesday episode of his podcast, "Verdict with Ted Cruz." “My biggest sentiment was that it was thoroughly underwhelming. There's very little there there," he said about contents of the indictment itself. “This is a political indictment, brought by a political prosecutor, working for a political attorney general working for a political...

The first several weeks of Ukraine’s long-awaited counteroffensive have not been kind to the Ukrainian troops who were trained and armed by the United States and its allies. Equipped with advanced American weapons and heralded as the vanguard of a major assault, the troops became bogged down in dense Russian minefields under constant fire from artillery and helicopter gunships. Units got lost. One unit delayed a nighttime attack until dawn, losing its advantage. Another fared so badly that commanders yanked it off the battlefield altogether. The complicated training in Western maneuvers has given the Ukrainians scant solace in the face...

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is facing backlash after commenting on the latest indictment against former President Donald Trump, admittedly without reading it first.Unlike his somewhat aloof and sarcastic reaction to Trump’s indictment at the hands of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, DeSantis opted to react quickly to the news of Special Counsel Jack Smith announcing that a grand jury in Washington, D.C., had indicted Trump on charges relating to the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.“As President, I will end the weaponization of government, replace the FBI Director, and ensure a single standard of justice for all...

Like a younger version of Kat Kerr before she started smoking the electric lettuce or eating the devil’s jambalaya, Emma Stark is an up-and-coming prophetess from Ireland. She founded the Glasgow Prophetic Center with her husband in 2019 and describes herself as “a prophet who hears from God’, ’a traveling lecturer in spirituality’ and ’a church pastor. We featured her in a post last year, after she stated there are grooming demons out there whose goal is to use lassos to tie Christians down in order to prevent them from reaching their full potential, and then after she claimed one...
