Americans' cash reserves have experienced a boom bust cycle in the last few years, and the latest data spells bad news. Americans now hold a record level of credit card debt, according to recent data from the Federal Reserve. It comes as they see their pandemic savings and cushions depleted, and as the labor market cools from its red-hot post-vaccine highs. It shows just how much direct stimulus spending bolstered the economy and created a group of workers accustomed to support that likely won't come back — and it may spell even further economic doom as student loan bills get...

It was a rough month for FOX News. For anyone who’s been paying any attention to what a post-Tucker Carlson landscape would look like at Fox News, two things are pretty apparent: That landscape is pretty barren. The suddenly-beleaguered news network has lost so many viewers, its stock was downgraded. Fox News is trying anything — or perhaps flailing about — in response to hemorrhaging viewers, including some shakeups to its primetime lineup. Following all of the recent turmoil FOX News has lost the trust of American conservatives. Only one-third of self-described conservatives trust FOX News the most. They may...

As space travel becomes more common, so does the possibility that someone might die along the way. Houston: There's no question that sending human beings to space is an extraordinarily difficult and perilous proposition. Since human space exploration began just over 60 years ago, 20 people have died – 14 in the NASA space shuttle tragedies of 1986 and 2003, three cosmonauts during the 1971 Soyuz 11 mission, and three astronauts in the Apollo 1 launch pad fire in 1967. Given how complicated human spaceflight is, it's actually remarkable how few people have lost their lives so far. But NASA...

One major claim that Mr. Smith cites as an example of Trump peddling “false assertions” is a statement from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) that there was zero evidence of voting systems being compromised in the 2020 election. President Biden's administration is placing the blame for the United States' drop in credit rating on former President Donald Trump and the Jan. 6 riots. Fitch announced Tuesday it has officially downgraded the United States' long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating to "AA+" from "AAA," saying the downgrade "reflects the expected fiscal deterioration" and the nation's heavy debt burden. An administration official claimed to FOX Business on Wednesday that the underlying model was AAA until former President Donald Trump's administration. The administration official claimed the model dipped in the Trump-era and despite efforts since 2020, Fitch's change in consideration on a...

For years, politicians have been facing the prospect of holding a referendum to remove outdated language which refers to women in the home from the Constitution. Now, time for a final decision is rapidly approaching and the Government is discovering it is entering a territory littered with landmines. This week, the Taoiseach said the Government remains committed to holding the referendum, but admitted an inter-departmental group which is working on the wording has struggled to agree on the precise question or questions to be asked. The proposed Referendum on Article 41 has three objectives: remove gendered language referring to women...

Several hosts of The View expressed interest in having former President Donald Trump's federal case for his third indictment be aired live on television, as his "MAGA cult" will not believe "anything." On Tuesday, Trump was indicted by a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., on four new charges related to the Jan. 6 protest on Capitol Hill in 2021 and alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Co-host Joy Behar claimed on Wednesday that it is important that Trump's trial be aired on television, though she noted that a rule forbids cameras in federal courts. "This is an important...
