Five Oklahoma transgender youths and their families have sued the state over a ban on gender-affirming health care, alleging the halt of puberty-blocking drugs, surgery and hormone treatments is a violation of their constitutional rights. The families filed the lawsuit in a Tulsa federal court Tuesday, one day after Gov. Kevin Stitt signed Senate Bill 613, which immediately banned gender transition surgeries, along with a six-month phase-out of other drug and hormone treatments. “We wanted to make sure we were ready as soon as possible because access to care changed immediately (with the governor’s signature),” said Megan Lambert, legal director...

It's a scene becoming more common outside state capitol buildings across the country: Protesters outraged as legislators inside move to pass new laws restricting transgender rights. Earlier this month, Larry Kudlow insisted that it is "it's incumbent on the U.S. government, no matter who's in power, to maintain the reserve currency status of the dollar." Kudlow laments that a toppling of the dollar from that perch "seems to be the direction we're going in." Kudlow's remarks came a day after Donald Trump declared that China is trying to displace the U.S. Dollar [sic] as the NUMBER ONE CURRENCY" and that if this occurs, it would be the biggest defeat for our Country [sic] in its history." Neither Trump nor Kudlow actually explain why maintaining reserve currency...

The Associated Press is reporting that King Charles of Great Britain has an unpleasant surprise waiting for him when his royal entourage conducts its procession to his coronation on Saturday. An anti-monarchy group known as “Republic” will be dressed in bright yellow costumes and they plan to chant “Not My King” as Charles passes by. They claim that more than 1,500 people will join their ranks. And to add a bit more insult to injury, the protest will take place at the feet of a statue of his namesake, King Charles I, who was deposed in 1649 and had his...

WowThe European Union is officially insane. The buyout scheme prohibits Dutch farmers from moving to other countries and starting up farms abroad, meaning that their knowledge and expertise would be lost.— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 4, 2023With something this draconian, this beyond all comprehension, I guess “Wow” is about all you can say, huh?Holy smokes. NY Times columnist Pamela Paul writes today about disturbing evidence that science won’t be spared from the long march of identity politics through our institutions. A group of 29 scientists including two Nobel laureates collaborated on a paper titled “In Defense of Merit in Science,” but major science journals rejected it.A paper published last week, “In Defense of Merit in Science,” documents the disquieting ways in which research is increasingly informed by a politicized agenda, one that often characterizes science as fundamentally racist and in need of “decolonizing.” The authors argue that science should instead be independent, evidence-based and focused...

ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner resigned Thursday amid a firestorm of legal troubles, including the Missouri Attorney General’s attempt to oust her from office. The Circuit Attorney’s Office confirmed the resignation, effective on June 1, on Twitter and in an email to News 4. Multiple attorneys have resigned from the Circuit Attorney’s Office since the attorney general announced his case against Gardner, which came after a defendant out on bond allegedly caused a crash that resulted in a 17-year-old’s legs being amputated. Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey has alleged Gardner willfully neglected the duties of...

Missouri’s incompetent Circuit Attorney, Kim Gardner, backed by George Soros funds, has finally resigned thanks to pressure from Republicans around the state. Soros funded her her election in 2016 and again in 2020. She was going to seek a third term as of last month, but her resignation letter is dated effective June 1. Her office is dysfunctional, and she won’t prosecute minority criminals. Earlier this year, a criminal violated his bond over fifty times and was awaiting trial in a separate armed robbery case. While out on bail, he drove into a teen volleyball player. She lost both her...

Dr. Shonna Waters is Vice President of Strategic Alliances & Partnerships at BetterUp. “There’s a social contract between an employee and an employer,” Waters says, noting that some of these “contract” elements are stated, as in an employment agreement and job description, while others remain unstated and more subjective, such as workplace recognition and employees feeling appreciated and valued. “The boundaries of work have just disappeared. And people are finding this harder and harder to push back [and return to] what was that original contract, what have we agreed to. It can feel like you're on call 24/7, and you’re...
