Nine of the top 10 wealthiest congressional districts are represented by Democrats, while Republicans now represent most of the poorer half of the country, according to median income data provided by Rep. Marcy Kaptur's (D-Ohio) office. Why it matters: The last several decades have ushered in a dramatic political realignment, as the GOP has broadened its appeal to a more diverse working class and Democrats have become the party of wealthier, more-educated voters. "Republicans were the party of the country club, and they're increasingly the party of country," lobbyist and political analyst Bruce Mehlman told Axios. "We have seen an...

A confused Joe Biden has mistaken a national sports team with a notorious paramilitary group while on his grand tour of Ireland. Gaffe-prone American President Joe Biden has once again provoked confusion and laughs after he conflated a national sports team with a notorious 20th-century paramilitary group. The comments came late on the commander-in-chief’s second day of touring Ireland, with Biden meeting with extended family members still resident on the island. According to a report by POLITICO, Biden’s slip-up originated from an attempt to praise one of these extended relations, that of famous Irish rugby player Rob Kearney, who during...

Sen. Marco Rubio absolutely nails it in describing where we now are as a nation – from having a President who barely knows where he is at any given moment in time, to radical transgenders assaulting a female college athlete for daring to say only actual females should be able to compete in Women’s Sporting events. Rubio said the World looks at America today and considers us a “laughingstock,” as we “commit societal suicide.” . . .

Legislators in California are considering a bill that would allow state officials to separate children from their families without letting the parents know until after the fact. Government authorities could do this for children who struggle with gender identity problems but whose parents are not being “ affirming ” of their new identification as the opposite sex, or as nonbinary, gender fluid, pansexual, or one of the other made-up genders or sexual orientations. THERE'S NOTHING 'AFFIRMING' ABOUT MUTILATING CHILDREN The bill, AB 665 , “would allow children as young as 12 years old to consent to being placed into state-funded...

BALTIMORE, Sunday, April 12, 1863. I have just reached this point from Charleston Harbor via Fortress Monroe, by the gunboat Flambeau, bringing official dispatches from Admiral DUPONT. The iron-clad fleet, in its attack on Fort Sumter, has met with a repulse, but not a disaster. The attack was made on the afternoon of Tuesday, the 7th inst., and continued for two hours and a half. The fleet had all been got over the bar the day previous, and lay at anchor in the main ship channel along the shore of Morris Island, at a distance of about a mile. The...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

Credit: Sila Nanotechnologies VIDEO AT LINK................ Anew silicon anode material for batteries promises to boost the range of electric vehicles (EVs) by 20% or more — and a major automaker has already signed a deal to start using it. Range anxiety: A widespread transition to EVs would slash the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, but the switch from gas- and diesel-powered cars and trucks is slow — in 2022, only 13% of new cars sold worldwide were electric. While higher upfront costs often factor into this decision, the primary issues keeping people from buying EVs have to do with their batteries...
