Too often, we’re asking the wrong question about atmospheric rivers and climate change. It’s understandable as Californians are bracing for the next system, watching footage of the Pajaro River levee break, wondering what fails next. It’s not just Californians, either. Our atmospheric rivers don’t always stop at the Sierras. They can plow across the rest of the country, dumping more rain and snow when conditions are right, like they were earlier this week in the Northeast. This year’s storms have seemed worse than many people remember, and the data back that up: This winter we’ve set new records for snowpack,...

Joy Behar told her co-hosts Friday on ABC’s “The View” that she believes if former President Donald Trump is not indicted, we will not have a country. Behar said, “Indictments against Trump could reportedly happen at any time now. For those keeping score, here’s speed round of investigations he’s facing. In Georgia, he is being investigated for election interference for pressuring state officials to find more votes. Remember, ‘I just find want to find 11,780 votes,’ remember that. In Florida, the DOJ just subpoenaed dozens of Mar-a-Lago employees over his hoarding of classified documents. Here in New York State, the...

LGBTQ predator Jeffrey Marsh has defenders who know no bounds. First, they went after UK Muslim Shumirun Nessa with threats toward her and her kids after she called Marsh out on TikTok. She backed off, but they're still going after her, and probably won't stop until she's unalived herself. Now comes word a pair of Canadians have decided to file a class action lawsuit against people who have told the truth about Marsh (also on TikTok), saying their sentiments are untrue and hate speech. Now, Marsh lives in California (natch!). But these two people seem to think they can file...

Local, state and federal law enforcement and security agencies are preparing for the possibility that former President Donald Trump is indicted as early as next week, according to five senior officials familiar with the preparations. There is no republican who will win 2024. Not Trump not Desantis. Not any republican nominee. Why not? The democrats have weaponized the entire federal bureaucracy to get out the democrat vote. Then they have funneled a billion or two to non profits to interface with local elections and the feds to get out the vote —including illegals. Finally, we don’t don’t know this —but it would be impossible for the dems not to interface with the border patrol to send illegals to contested counties to pad the vote for democrats. The crucial thing that the democrats accomplished in the...

While scientists know that Pluto, like Earth, flipped on its side sometime in its past, Pluto's orientation before the flip and the degree to which it reoriented itself has not been well understood. Scientists who use New Horizons data to study Pluto's geologic past hope to find clues that explain this event. Now, a group of researchers has attributed Pluto's flip to the formation of Sputnik Planitia, a 620-mile-wide (1,000 km) basin that makes up half of the iconic heart-shaped region on Pluto. Researchers previously knew that Sputnik, which is filled with nitrogen ice, played a profound role in realigning...
