Semiconductor foundry operators including TSMC, Samsung, and Intel have collectively announced well in excess of a $100 billion in new factory projects across the US, but chipmakers could end up paying far more than due to rising inflation. Reuters, citing multiple unamed sources, reports that Samsung's Texan foundry in the town of Taylor could end up costing more than $25 billion, a full $8 billion more than when the project was announced in 2021. The sources pointed to higher material and labor costs driven primarily by inflation — roughly 80 percent of the increases — for the facility's rapidly ballooning...

A Glendale state senator who calls reports of a riot on Jan. 6 "a sham'' is now going after judges who sanction attorneys for filing what he believes are "good faith'' claims on behalf of clients. But Republican Anthony Kern insists it has nothing to do with his own lawyers being ordered to pay $75,000 in legal fees after he and two other lawmakers filed what a judge concluded was a frivolous lawsuit against another legislator over his role in that 2021 event at the U.S. Capitol.

Seventeenth century Jurist John Brydall‘s “An abridgment of the lawes of England, touching treasons, rebellious murthers, conspiracies, burning of houses, poysonings, and other capital offences (1679): Whether killing a man by poyson be more detestable, than by any other means? To kill a man by poyson, sayes Coke, is the most detestable of all, because it is most horrible and fearful to the nature of man, and of all others can be least prevented, either by Manhood, or providence: This offence was so odious, that by Act of Parliament it was made High Treason, and it inflicted a more grievous...

Ready to read about a real-life Orwellian nightmare that happened right here in the good ol' US of A? A new analysis of genetic information conducted by an international group of researchers has found evidence to suggest that COVID-19 originated from infected animals sold at a market in Wuhan, China. As first reported by The Atlantic, French evolutionary biologist Florence Débarre recently uncovered genetic data from the global virology database GISAID. The data had been submitted by Chinese researchers who collected the genetic sequences from the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, which has been scrutinized as being the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the name, thousands mammals were found to have been sold at the market, where they were...

Former President Donald Trump leads Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and his other potential competitors in a crowded Republican primary field in Florida, according to a hypothetical poll. The Emerson College Polling survey published Friday shows that 47 percent of Florida GOP primary voters back Trump in his quest for the nomination. He sits three-percentage points ahead of the Sunshine State’s governor at 44 percent. “While 90% of Republican voters approve of DeSantis, that does not translate into a firewall of support over the former President for the nomination in their home state,” Emerson College Polling Executive Director Spencer Kimball said.

Hormone therapy for trans kids supported at ‘highest levels’ of Biden admin: HHS Assistant Secretary of Health Rachel Levine has been called “reprehensible” for proudly announcing that “gender-affirming” treatment of transgender kids is supported “at the highest levels” of President Biden’s administration. Levine, the highest-ranking transgender official in US history, made the claim at a talk in Connecticut last month when asked about criticism of health centers treating children with the likes of puberty blockers and hormones. She maintained the attacks are “ideologically and politically motivated,” calling them “unconscionable.” “I can say that the children, their families and you all...

Russia today vowed to 'destroy' the dozens of Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter jets that Poland and Slovakia have pledged to send to Ukraine in the coming days. The Kremlin said the fighter jets would be 'destroyed' before insisting that the deployment of Western arms - including warplanes and tanks - would not change the course of the war. Slovakia today approved a plan to send its fleet of 13 MiG-29s to Ukraine, following Poland's lead in supplying Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with warplanes to help fight against Russia's invasion. In response, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said: 'The supply of this military...

"Second Hand News" is the first track off of the album Rumours. According to author Jacob Hoye, its opening lines "I know there's nothing to say/Someone has taken my place" set the mood for the entire album. "Second Hand News" is one of several songs on Rumours that reflects the breakup of Lindsey Buckingham and bandmate Stevie Nicks. In it, he sings that he doesn't trust his lover and can't live with her, but he can't live without her either. According to Buckingham, the song incorporates Scottish and Irish folk song influences. Buckingham originally introduced the song to the...

At the same time that Department of Justice officials were using spying and corruption statutes to aggressively pursue Donald Trump’s allies based on what turned out to be rumor and innuendo, they declined to use those same laws to investigate evidence of wrongdoing involving Biden family members and one of their corrupt Chinese business partners, DOJ documents and federal court records reveal. In 2016-2017, the evidence shows, the FBI raided the offices and intercepted the communications of Chi Ping “Patrick” Ho, a Chinese national suspected of espionage even as he was negotiating business deals with former Vice President Joe Biden’s...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

Psyops Are Not New, Just More DangerousSince the international insanity began three years ago in the Spring of 2020, several compelling theories have emerged regarding those who have used this time to suppress freedoms and control the population. For example, Debbie Lerman has effectively argued that lockdowns in the US were not about health, but about counter-terrorism. The state response is to control the population, and not let go of those controls once they are in place.Aaron Kheriaty has effectively argued that we have entered a new realm of the Security State, all our actions monitored, tracked, and controlled. Most disturbing of...

Ron DeSantis came out against our current blank check n’ hack cliches Ukraine policy, stating the indisputable truth that Ukraine was not a vital US interest worthy of risking World War III with Russia. The next day he was proven right when a Russian SU-27 knocked a US Reaper drone into the Black Sea. Hey, feeding Russians (and Ukrainians) into a meat grinder is all fun and games until we get dragged into the abattoir too. Of course, all the right people got really mad about it – when Bill Kristol, Adam Kinzinger, David French, Max Boot and Mitt Romney...
