Russia today vowed to 'destroy' the dozens of Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter jets that Poland and Slovakia have pledged to send to Ukraine in the coming days.
The Kremlin said the fighter jets would be 'destroyed' before insisting that the deployment of Western arms - including warplanes and tanks - would not change the course of the war.
Slovakia today approved a plan to send its fleet of 13 MiG-29s to Ukraine, following Poland's lead in supplying Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with warplanes to help fight against Russia's invasion.
In response, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said: 'The supply of this military equipment - as we have repeatedly said - will not change the outcome of the special military operation... Of course, all this equipment will be destroyed.'

At a press conference Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of NATO, says..... NATO has been providing “training and equipment” to Ukraine’s military since “the war started in 2014....... “How many Americans know that NATO has been arming Ukraine since the war started in 2014? Also not only CNN, but many other news outlets have reported Ukraine civilians being fired upon in SE Ukraine since 2014.
How Orwellian. Russia started the war in 2014 when it invaded Ukraine. It has been waging war on Ukraine ever since.
The Ruskies will destroy them just like they’ve been destroying everything else donated to the Ukraine.
You just hear of thr initial announcements and the nothing. The HIMARS made some waves but then have been out of the news for a few months so I have assumed they are a out
The Russians have been destroying the HIMARS, too.
So if they destroy the planed they will not change the course of the war seems to imply that if they do not destroy them, they may well change the course of the war.
Planes (I kind of hate spellchecker sometimes)
This is why I think the strategy of a half baked proxy war is dumb beyond belief. You put out weapons in a zone where Russia has a lot of room to operate without a lot of consequences so they get to take out your stockpile while you’re not fully engaged or respond. Russia can do this for years and it just weakens thr alliance. That’s how I see it
Dictators sure do like seeing their own pictures everywhere.
In other words, Hitlerjugend.
Russia hunts down the collective West’s welfare weapons- and getting good at it. Stingers, Javelins captured in large numbers, the M777’s destroyed by half , Himars rockets severely “ reduced”, I am awaiting the twenty some Leopard 1’s demise…..
That said, Vlad also hunts down all the Azov Brigade and Territorial units Neo Nazis effectively. Marioupol was a prime example ( Azov Nazis training HQ center).
Why are Poland and Slovakia donating MiG-29 fighter jets?
Because every nation near Russia hates the stupid vodka swillers. No one wants to live under the Russian boot.
Well, it did appear like a Himars.
Some duct tape and good to go!
“Russia vows “
More vows than in all the wedding chapels in Las Vegas with a much lower success rate.
And like the jet jocks and the drone, awards will be given to all!
But no mention of the multitude of bullet catchers that captured a bit of the UA ammo supply. Or the many that were “terminated” to save precious resources for the Motherland.
From what I am hearing the Russians have lost 30,000 or more soldiers and mercenaries in their battle for the obscure city of Bakhmut.
That’s simply obscene. That’s so many Russian families who will be without sons, husbands, and fathers.
And for what?
U.S. wants Zelensky to surrender to Russia? West ‘tired’ of Bakhmut battle, not happy with Ukraine
