As we've all learned this week, multiple news reports allege that President Biden's personal attorneys discovered Obama administration-era classified materials among his belongings at a private office, where they undoubtedly do not belong. The items were handed over to the National Archives shortly after they were allegedly uncovered in a closet during the process of packing up the space. Biden's Attorney General has referred the matter to the US Attorney in Chicago for additional scrutiny, as this episode very much appears to involve improper handling of classified information and potential unlawful conduct. "The review is considered a preliminary step, and...

A newly sworn-in North Carolina congressman is pleading with constituents to contact him after his predecessor, scandal-scarred Madison Cawthorn, failed to turn over their case files when he vacated his office last November. GOP Rep. Chuck Edwards’ office sent a letter telling voters in his rural western North Carolina district to reach out if they have outstanding or unfinished casework — and adding he doesn’t know where Cawthorn disappeared to. The letter said Cawthorn, who abandoned his Capitol Hill and district offices two months before his term ended, “did not transfer official constituent casework, which is standard practice for any...

CBS broke the bombshell news that President Biden had stored a trove of government documents, including some two-dozen classified documents, in a private office in Washington that Biden used as part of his think tank relationship with the University of Pennsylvania, where he was an honorary professor from 2017 to 2019. “The documents were discovered when the President’s personal attorneys were packing files housed in a locked closet to prepare to vacate office space,” Richard Sauber, special counsel to President Biden, said in a statement, adding, “The President periodically used this space from mid-2017 until the start of the 2020...

"Environmental justice is not justice because it's creating poverty," said Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers. "Climate change policy creates a permanent underclass to be controlled by the government." Eastern Washington Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers picked up the gavel for the first time Tuesday as chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. She led a roundtable discussion about what needs to change with the nation's energy policy to lower high fuel and food costs. "Like all of you, I'm very excited to hit the ground running this morning – we have an opportunity to address what American families are facing," said...

Seán Ono Lennon @seanonolennon Is it possible that humans are genetically predisposed towards religion? It seems like traditional religiosity has simply been replaced by the ‘woke’ world view. Basically an ideology that requires ‘faith’ to make any sense and you are attacked for questioning. 4:11 PM · Jan 10, 2023 And I think it is beyond tribalism, it is about believing unbelievable things. That’s the element I’m talking about. It requires faith and crumbles under real scrutiny. Nietzsche is laughing in ‘heaven.’

USC’s School of Social Work is removing the word “field” from its curriculum and practice, arguing that it “could be considered anti-black or anti-immigrant” to say someone is “going into the field” or conducting “field work.” The university explains, “our goal is not just to change language but to honor and acknowledge inclusion and reject white supremacy, anti-immigrant and anti-blackness ideologies.” “We have decided to remove the term ‘field’ from our curriculum and practice and replace it with ‘practicum.’ This change supports anti-racist social work practice by replacing language that could be considered anti-black or anti-immigrant in favor of inclusive...

The House Freedom Caucus Deserves Your ApplauseWhether you’re a Republican or a Democrat, what took place on the House floor last week was the most transparent, honest, and lively debate many Americans – young and old – have ever witnessed. For that, you can thank the House Freedom Caucus.Had there been no conservative opposition to Speaker McCarthy, it is highly likely the legislative oligarchy that existed under Speakers Nancy Pelosi, Paul Ryan, and John Boehner would continue in the 118th Congress. The People’s House would remain a top-down, centralized body, relegating anyone outside of the speaker’s office as mere spectators...

It’s curious that in one of the reddest states in the nation, which boasts both a Republican governor and a whopping 90 percent GOP majority legislature, the child-mutilation business would be allowed not only to exist but to flourish.

Years ago I had a kidney stone and ended up in the emergency room. I told them I couldn't tolerate opiates, so they gave me an IV, and sent me home with a bottle of pills to take for the next few days. The relief of pain was immediate, and as long as I took the pills, I was fine. There was no high associated with it at all, and I just drove home. They told me it was some kind of super-tylanol. I can't remember the name of it. I am going in for a minor procedure, and would...

It is well established that some teenage girls choose to identify as boys to escape the difficulties of female adolescence. Now the Daily Caller reports that some young men see transitioning as a solution to sexual frustration. These “transmaxxers,” an online “community of men who consider themselves involuntarily celibate, or ‘incels,’ are transitioning to the opposite sex to escape sexual rejection and improve their lives.” One such individual wrote that he discovered this path when he got a new therapist. The therapist, he said, “referred me to a new general practitioner he knows. Obviously I told him nothing about being...

What do you have to do to get locked up these days in Massachusetts? You have to murder somebody. It’s that simple. It’s that hard to get thrown in the jug now. Brian Walshe is merely the latest example of this deadly trend. If we still had real punishment for serious crimes short of murder, a lot of people might not have died grisly deaths. They might even still be alive. The most recent poster boy for Massachusetts’ coddling of criminals is Brian Walshe, who should have been in federal prison on Jan. 1 when his wife disappeared. According to...

Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed a new commander to lead his forces in Ukraine. Gen. Valery Gerasimov will take over from Sergei Surovikin, the country’s Defense Ministry said on Telegram Wednesday, a change that comes as the Kremlin's forces appeared close to a breakthrough in bitter fighting on the eastern front lines. The announcement came just three months after Surovikin became the first person to be handed sole charge of the campaign since Russia launched its invasion on Feb. 24. The ministry said he would now serve as one of Gerasimov's three deputies, along with Army Gen. Oleg Salyukov...

A program trained with the help of artificial intelligence is set to help a defendant contest his case in a U.S. court next month, New Scientist reported. Instead of addressing the court, the program, which will run on a smartphone, will supply appropriate responses through an earpiece to the defendant, who can then use them in the courtroom. In the past few years, AI has burst onto the scene like never before, writing poetry, computer code, and even college essays at the drop of a hat. With every new iteration of the programs being released, the capabilities of the bots...

Dr Jordan B Peterson and Dr. Richard Lindzen dive into the facts of climate change, the models used to predict it, the dismal state of academia, and the politicized world of “professional” science. Richard Lindzen is a dynamical meteorologist. He has contributed to the development of theories for the Hadley Circulation, hydrodynamic instability theory, internal gravity waves, atmospheric tides, and the quasi-biennial oscillation of the stratosphere. His current research is focused on climate sensitivity, the role of cirrus clouds in climate, and the determination of the tropics-to-pole temperature difference. He has attained multiple degrees from Harvard University, and won multiple...

Don’t tell Paula, but for fun, I thought, I wonder if ChatGPT could write an article for me and save me some time? Apparently, university professors are all upset about this artificial intelligence service that is allowing their students to get away with turning in halfway intelligible writing—which is how they knew the kids were cheating, because none of them know how to use punctuation. So, thinking this thing must be great, I excitedly told it to “write 500 words on Harry and Meghan embarrassing the royal family.” What a letdown! Look at this AI simp garbage I got back!...

When ambassadors or secretaries of State come before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, I ask them to detail what policy changes have been achieved as a result of America’s sanctions on Russia, China, Iran, or North Korea. To date, no official of our government has been able to describe behavioral changes due to the sanctions we impose. The response I have received that came the closest to an answer was that sanctions under President Barack Obama prompted Iran to come to the negotiating table to forge the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) agreement. Perhaps. But one might argue that...

FRANKFORT In what may be the largest political contribution ever given to a political party in Kentucky, the drug maker Pfizer Inc. gave $1 million last month to the building fund of the Republican Party of Kentucky. A report filed by Republican Party of Kentucky Building Fund last week with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance listed the $1 million from Pfizer along with five other big corporation contributions in the final quarter of 2022 totalling $1.65 million. That is an extraordinarily large haul for the fund which had raised only $6,000 during the first three quarters of 2022. The...

After he was admitted to the United States on a diversity visa, Sayfullo Saipov demonstrated his gratitude to the land that had welcomed him by murdering eight people in New York City on Halloween night in 2017 by driving a truck along a bike path. Now, all these years later, he is finally on trial. On Monday, he showed that he was not in the least repentant. As far as he is concerned, he has no reason to be. He sees himself as a soldier in a war that only one side admits is being waged. The lessons here are...
