Seán Ono Lennon @seanonolennon Is it possible that humans are genetically predisposed towards religion? It seems like traditional religiosity has simply been replaced by the ‘woke’ world view. Basically an ideology that requires ‘faith’ to make any sense and you are attacked for questioning. 4:11 PM · Jan 10, 2023
And I think it is beyond tribalism, it is about believing unbelievable things. That’s the element I’m talking about. It requires faith and crumbles under real scrutiny.
Nietzsche is laughing in ‘heaven.’

Good for Lennon.
Sean Lennon once again making sense.
“It seems like traditional religiosity has simply been replaced by the ‘woke’ world view.”
Not replaced but impinged upon. Until we fully understand the universe, the people of Earth will be asking “Why are we here?”, “Do I have a soul?” and “Where do we go after we die?”...Not to mention “What is your conceptual continuity?”.
who pulled that fool’s chain?
I’m not sure.. how much of the Christian church has been captured by the ‘woke’ ideology? It seems huge swathes of it have been.
I really like Nietzsche.
That's the left right there. Brilliant
I agree with the opening premise also... humans are genetically predisposed to religion... it’s the only explanation for it’s near universal existence among us.
Well, he’s been making records with Les Claypool from “Primus”, and Les Claypool was friends with the libertarians from “Rush”, so maybe it’s all trickling down...
Not sure who pulled his chain but I like his reply.
“God is dead.” - Nietzsche
“Nietzsche is dead.” - God........................
If I were to guess what Nietzsche would make of ‘woke-ism’ he’d probably interpret it as an end stage of ‘slave religion.’ ... essentially where the guilted master class surrenders to the slave classes...
‘Woke-ism’ is the end result of juvenile thought processes being given serious credibility...................
Since God created people with logic, reason, emotion, and spirit; yeah, humans do have a significant portion that needs to fill that portion.
If you don’t have faith in the one, true God; a human will fill that void with all sorts of crap.
He’s one of the few philosophers who’s actually readable and in fact is often hilarious. He’s a highly entertaining read even if you don’t agree with him.
It takes less faith for me to believe in God than it does for me to believe we just happened.
that’s some strange bedfellows right there... any good?
First Lizzo and now Lennon...
