A faculty member had included in their global survey of art history a session on Islamic art, which offered an optional visual analysis and discussion of a famous medieval Islamic painting of the Prophet Muhammad. Dubbed "the ugliest omnibus bill ever" by the conservative Wall Street Journal editorial board Wednesday, the massive spending bill includes tens of billions of dollars in new aid to Ukraine along with bipartisan policy changes on Medicaid, new disaster relief funding, and investments in programs addressing child care, nutrition assistance and affordable housing. However, the bill also includes numerous concessions to the Democratic side to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. (Snip) For the next several days at least, Democrats will still control both chambers, leaving little incentive for Republicans to play along. Graham—like several of his other...

China's COVID policies are pushing companies to diversify supply chains away from the country. They had already begun moving out due to geopolitical tensions and tariffs from the Trump era. India, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Bangladesh are stepping up to replace the world's factory. Global manufacturing powerhouse China's rise as the world's factory spanned over four decades and ushered in an era of globalization and integrated supply chains. But that facade started to crumble around 2018, after former President Donald Trump launched a trade war against the East Asian giant. This, in turn, has prompted investors to reassess their geopolitical...

Jaime Raskin on Sunday called the Electoral College a ‘danger to the American people’ during an appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan asked Raskin about the January 6 Committee and the Electoral Count Reform Act that just passed both chambers of Congress as part of the $1.7 trillion Omnibus bill. “The act also raises the threshold for members of Congress to object to electoral votes and makes it harder for state legislatures or governors to ignore the popular vote when certifying Electoral College votes.” NBC reported. Raskin slammed the US Constitution on...

Katie Hobbs is asking for more than half a million dollars, mostly for corrupt Hillary attorney Marc Elias’ firm. As The Gateway Pundit reported, gutless Judge Peter Thompson dismissed Kari Lake’s election lawsuit against Democrat Katie Hobbs in the stolen 2022 midterm election on Saturday, Christmas Eve. As Rachel Alexander for TownHall reported, “Judge Peter Thompson only gave her two days for a trial and issued...

...it becomes very quickly clear — I knew this from my time in the drug industry — if we just rely on the industry to set its own timelines, it’ll take forever. And why is that? The rap on the drug industry is that it is the riskiest business on Earth that attracts the most risk averse people on Earth. And so, when you’re running a drug company, you’re managing a portfolio and basically trying to manage it horizontally and vertically.” “The way you do that and manage this risk when you’re placing multibillion dollar bets on individual molecules, is...

The FBI on Wednesday finally broke its silence and responded to the revelations on Twitter of close ties between the bureau and the social media giant—ties that included efforts to suppress information and censor political speech. “The correspondence between the FBI and Twitter show nothing more than examples of our traditional, longstanding and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements, which involve numerous companies over multiple sectors and industries,” the bureau said in a statement. “As evidenced in the correspondence, the FBI provides critical information to the private sector in an effort to allow them to protect themselves and their...

As 2022 nears an end, another election season has also come to a close. Time for second thoughts, and ideas about what to do to fix an election system that many Americans believe is irretrievably broken. As it turns out, voters have some very strong opinions about that very topic, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. The recent midterm elections were once again marked by claims of voter fraud and possible ballot manipulation behind the scenes by partisan actors, including even election officials. So we asked Americans of all political stripes and demographic backgrounds what rules and practices would they support...

It also comes several months after he was in the spotlight for apparent head injuries and the league and the players' union agreed to update the protocol -- the NFL's policies for assessing and caring for players who sustain a concussion.

Moscow's proposals for settlement in Ukraine are well known to Kyiv and either Ukraine fulfils them for their own good or the Russian army will decide the issue, TASS agency quoted Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying. On Monday, the two parties filed a motion in the Maricopa County Superior Court against Lake and her legal team.“Courts are established by Arizona’s Constitution and statutes to resolve actual disputes between parties,” Maricopa County Deputy Attorney Thomas P. A startup claims it has launched weather balloons that may have released reflective sulfur particles in the stratosphere, potentially crossing a controversial barrier in the field of solar geoengineering.Geoengineering refers to deliberate efforts to manipulate the climate by reflecting more sunlight back into space, mimicking a natural process that occurs in the aftermath of large volcanic eruptions. In theory, spraying sulfur and similar particles in sufficient quantities could potentially ease global warming. It’s not technically difficult to release such compounds into the stratosphere. But scientists have mostly (though not entirely) refrained from carrying out even small-scale outdoor experiments. And it’s not...

Kari Lake has just lost her trial to overturn the election in Arizona. She presented uncontroverted testimony that the dimensions of the ballot on Election Day were changed from the dimensions that were tested before the election. This caused the ballot readers great difficulty, since they are programmed to look for marks in specific locations, and the size change moved those marks. This then led to great confusion, delays, and departure of voters who could not continue to wait their turn. Those non-voting voters were mostly in dark red areas, so the “errors” disenfranchised Republicans. Lake presented uncontroverted testimony that...
