Less than a month before those arrested in Illinois will no longer have the option of posting bail as a condition of release while awaiting trial, Gov. J.B. Pritzker quietly signed a package that makes significant changes to the law taking effect in January. In a press release Tuesday afternoon, Pritzker said the bill (HB1095) “addresses misinformation” and makes clarifications “that uphold the principle we fought to protect: to bring an end to a system where wealthy violent offenders can buy their way out of jail, while less fortunate nonviolent offenders wait in jail for trial.” The changes approved last...

Twitter owner Elon Musk released yet another batch of documents revealing the sordid decision-making process by former executives over banning former President Donald Trump from the platform. Journalist Matt Taibbi, who reported on the new batch Dec. 9, said the documents reveal an “erosion of standards within the company in months before [the Capitol Hill riot], decisions by high-ranking executives to violate their own policies, and more, against the backdrop of ongoing, documented interaction with federal agencies.” The most damning part was revealed when Taibbi noted that the “intellectual framework” behind banning Trump “was laid in the months preceding the...

president of the United States, he used to brag to anyone who would listen about the important people who called him. (You know, the way a lot of serious adults do.) Rupert Murdoch calls me every day! He proudly produced the letters he’d exchanged with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to journalist Bob Woodward, telling him the letters were "soooo top secret," and asking Woodward (again, a JOURNALIST) (for The Washington Post!), "Don't say I gave them to you. OK?" This is a man who faked a Time magazine featuring him on the cover with the headline, “TRUMP IS...

The prevalence of food allergies is increasing worldwide, approaching an epidemic level in some regions. In the U.S. alone, approximately 10% of children and adults suffer from food allergies, with allergies to cow's milk, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts being the most common. Some patients have mild symptoms that might not need medical attention, leaving these cases unreported. Food allergies, or food hypersensitivities, result from the overreaction of the immune system to typically harmless proteins in food. They can manifest as a spectrum of symptoms, ranging from itching, redness and swelling for milder reactions, to vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty breathing and...

A federal judge declined to hold Trump in contempt over classified documents seized from Mar-a-Lago. Joe Biden’s corrupt Justice Department asked a federal judge to hold President Trump’s team in contempt for ‘failing to comply with a subpoena’ related to the Mar-a-Lago documents. The Justice Department in May issued Trump a subpoena to return so-called classified records stored at Mar-a-Lago. The DOJ asked US District Judge Beryl Howell, an Obama appointee, to hold Trump’s office in contempt for failing to return all documents. Judge Howell refused to hold Trump in contempt and told the lawyers to hash out their dispute...
