A daily cup of tea could help you to enjoy better health late in life. However, if you're not a tea drinker, there are other things you can add to your diet. The key is flavonoids, which are naturally occurring substances found in many common foods and beverages such as black and green tea, apples, nuts, citrus fruit, berries and more. A study of 881 elderly women (median age of 80) has found that the participants were far less likely to have extensive buildup of abdominal aortic calcification (AAC) if they consumed a high level of flavonoids in their diet....

Maryland's outgoing Republican Gov. Larry Hogan is laying the groundwork to challenge former President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination. Trump was first to officially jump into the 2024 race - doing so last Tuesday from Mar-a-Lago, a week after his party suffered a disappointing midterm result. But Hogan - from the moderate, anti-MAGA wing of the party - visited the key early caucus and swing state of Nevada last weekend, to address the annual Republican Jewish Coalition conference. The Washington Examiner reported Wednesday that he's also set up a series of meetings with donors and grassroots activists after Thanksgiving....

Google is going to implement a performance improvement plan to gradually let go of 10,000 employees, multiple media reports suggest. The move is reportedly in response to pressure from an activist hedge fund, unfavourable market circumstances and the need to reduce expenses. Employees who receive low performance ratings will be let go. In contrast to the customary 2%, Google managers have been instructed to identify 6% of staff, or 10,000 people, as bad performers. Supervisors were instructed to reduce the inflated scores in a previous notification. Hedge fund billionaire Christopher Hohn has argued in a letter to Alphabet that the...

How many people actually do that? Not many. Give thanks to God on Thanksgiving Day? Are you kidding? That would interfere with our Thanksgiving! No, we need the time to baste...

Hundreds of Chinese-manufactured drones have been detected in restricted airspace over Washington, D.C., in recent months, a trend that national security agencies fear could become a new means for foreign espionage. Federal officials and drone industry experts have delivered classified briefings to the Senate Homeland Security, Commerce and Intelligence committees on the development, three people privy to the meetings said. For years, the COVID-19 vaccines have been pushed as a magic elixir, so potent and effective that they warranted being forced onto the population by way of government mandates. Even after it became clear that the vaccines didn’t stop the spread of the coronavirus, thus eliminating their communal benefit, the White House and some Democrat-led states marched on, stubbornly promoting them and other nonsensical policies like vaccine passports.Unfortunately, things have not gotten better with time. Dr. Anthony Fauci delivered his supposed final press conference on Tuesday, and White House COVID Czar Ashish Jha opened things up with this ridiculously false...

Earlier today the Russian military shut down the Ukrainian electricity network. Previous attacks had limited the distribution capacity to some 50% of demand. Controlled blackouts over several hours per day allowed to give electricity for a few hours to most parts of the country. The attack today created a much larger problem. Not only were distribution networks attacked but also the elements that connect Ukraine's electricity production facilities to the distribution network. All four nuclear power stations of Ukraine with their 15 reactors are now in shutdown mode. Kiev along with most other cities of Ukraine no longer has electricity....

Italian church weddings face catastrophic collapse after COVID pandemicROME (ChurchMilitant.com) - The Vatican is rejecting a government proposal to subsidize weddings in Catholic churches, even though only 1 out of 4 Italians is now opting for a church wedding.
