President Joe Biden's approval rating remains deep underwater in Iowa, where only 20 percent of people believe the country is headed in the right direction, according to a new poll. With only 18 days until Democrats have to defend control of the House and the Senate, it spells more bad news for Biden in a state with several crucial races. The Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll found that 61 percent of Iowa adults said they disapproved of Biden's presidency, while 35 percent approve.

Utah independent Senate candidate Evan McMullin is campaigning with Never Trump Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL). McMullin wrote, “So proud to have my friend Republican Congressman @AdamKinzinger with us here in Utah. He’s a true patriot who knows that the Constitution is not a prop!”

On Morning Joe, liberal Fordham prof Christina Greer Greer tried to cast aspersions on those making crime a prime issue: "[W]e know that the fears of crime are just kind of latent sub-texts that have a racialized history in this country. A Florida man who robbed a bank while armed with a machete was sentenced to federal prison. Herve Fils Viaud, 31, was sentenced today by United States District Judge William P. Dimitrouleas to 78 months in federal prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release for robbing TD Bank in Delray Beach, Florida.
