A Florida church deacon has been convicted of two counts of using a child to produce child pornography, the U.S. Department of Justice announced on Wednesday. Jonathan High, 30, of Steinhatchee, Florida, also pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography prior to trial, the DOJ said. The convictions came after a one-day bench trial. “High faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 15 years in prison and a combined maximum of 70 years in prison for all three counts” when he’s sentenced by U.S. District Judge Allen Winsor on Jan. 9, 2023, the DOJ said. According to various...

Of all the issues defining the U.S. Senate race between Republican Mehmet Oz and Democrat John Fetterman, Mr. Fetterman’s health should rank close to last. Even so, it has loomed large in an increasingly tight contest for a potentially pivotal U.S. Senate seat. Mr. Fetterman can diminish the influence of this distracting side-issue by releasing his medical records now and allowing reporters to question his physician. In September, a Post-Gazette editorial called on both U.S. Senate nominees to release their medical records. Mr. Oz, 62, released his two days later, indicating he was in good health. Mr. Fetterman, 53, who...

We get to see how Democrats use tax fraud to bolster a fake case and ignore a real case. They do the same with "criminal intent," but that is a different issue. When the Democrats framed Trump for taking bribes from Russia, they nailed Manafort for tax fraud he committed before he worked for Trump for about a hundred days, to make it look like Weissmann; his gang of Democratic legal goons; and their senile, never-Trump, RINO, figurehead Mueller were investigating a real crime. They also wanted to squeeze Manafort for dirt on Trump whether it was real or not,...

From what I have read, a truck filled with explosives blew up, killing three people in a car nearby, and then the flames took over a train also crossing the bridge. That train was full of fuel. It is only thanks to the amazing speed at which the bridge crews reacted that the damage was limited to only 9 wagons and, therefore, to a much shorter segment of the rail tracks.Looking at the video, one would imagine that the bridge is in ruins. In fact, traffic was reestablished on both rail tracks and the road in less than 24 hours...

Hong Kong attracted around 56 million visitors a year before the pandemic, and now the popular destination is taking significant steps to win tourists back after over two years of some of the world's toughest travel restrictions. Just days after dropping its longstanding mandatory hotel quarantine requirement, Hong Kong has confirmed plans to give away half a million airline tickets in a bid to boost tourism. The move, first announced two years ago, was confirmed to CNN by a spokesperson from the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), which said that the 500,000 tickets, worth around $254.8 million, would go to...

Key figures including Wagner Group’s Yevgeny Prigozhin are using military defeats to undermine defence chief Sergei Shoigu. Friends, rivals and enemies took their seats in the Grand Kremlin Palace as Vladimir Putin gathered the country’s elite to formalise Russia’s illegal annexation of four occupied regions in Ukraine. The ceremony was meant to portray strength and unity, but within 24 hours had been overshadowed by Russia’s failures on the battlefield. These losses, which continued into this week on the southern and eastern fronts in Ukraine, have led to a major, unprecedented rupture within the ruling class as the Kremlin seeks scapegoats...

The truth hurts — literally — when it comes to Covid-19 “vaccines.” Unfortunately, expressing the truth is verboten on Big Tech platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Google. Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo learned that the hard way after he posted a factoid to justify his recommendation against young men getting the jabs. On Friday, he Tweeted, “Today, we released an analysis on COVID-19 mRNA vaccines the public needs to be aware of. This analysis showed an increased risk of cardiac-related death among men 18-39. FL will not be silent on the truth.” Dr. Ladapo and Governor Ron DeSantis may...

This 2018 lecture appears very accurate retrospectively. The first 45 minutes is Pozner's lecture, followed by an equally good question and answer period. It is one of the most objective presentations I have heard, especially about how the Clintons created Putin.

Broadway is giving our founding fathers gender re-assignment surgery. The new Broadway revival of the classic musical 1776 features a cast comprised entirely of women, transgender, and “non-binary” actors. The woke staging, courtesy of the prestigious Roundabout Theatre Company and American Repertory Theater, officially opened Thursday at the American Airlines Theatre in New York, with a national tour expected to kick off next year. 1776 dramatizes the signing of the Declaration of Independence, following John Adams (played by actress Crystal Lucas-Perry) as he attempts to persuade members of the Continental Congress in Philadelphia to declare independence from Britain. Among the...

When it comes to reassuring Americans about an economy that's an election-year challenge for his party, President Joe Biden is telling the country to hold on. It's a message of patience as voters are buffeted by persistent inflation, fears of a recession and the prospect of rising energy prices in the closing weeks of the campaign season when they will determine the fate of vulnerable Democrats and control of Congress.

Migrants bused into New York City have been walking through the streets of a Staten Island neighborhood asking for food, clothes and work after they were put up in hotels there. The migrants — many not ready for the colder temperatures of the Big Apple — are staying at a property in Travis-Chelsea that includes the Staten Island Inn, Holiday Inn, and Fairfield Inn and Suites Marriott, sources and workers told the Post.

Video shows the astonishing moment Royal Navy members flew over the New York Harbour using jet packs and landed on the Queen Elizabeth warship. The servicemen are seen hovering over the Harbour as they head towards the HMS Queen Elizabeth, the Royal Navy's largest and most powerful vessel of all time. Footage shows the military members smiling as they soar over the Atlantic Ocean with their helmet-steered weapon mount and tactical suits waving the Union Jack flag as passengers on other ships seemingly stare in awe.

Cockroach cyborgs are not a new idea. Back in 2012, researchers at North Carolina State University were experimenting with Madagascar hissing cockroaches and wireless backpacks, showing the critters could be remotely controlled to walk along a track. The way scientists do this is by attaching the backpack and connecting wires to a cockroach's "cerci," two appendages at the end of the abdomen that are basically sensory nerves...electrical impulses to either side can stimulate the roach into moving in that direction, giving researchers some control over locomotion. The team at Riken crafted the system to be solar-powered and rechargeable. They attached...

Businesses are moving out of cities and neighborhoods with rising crime rates. By abandoning these high-risk locations, these businesses take with them any job opportunities they provide to poorer residents. ... A recent poll found that 8 in every 10 Americans say they worry about crime either “a great deal” (53%) or “a fair amount” (27%). This fear is driving businesses large and small out of cities and neighborhoods with rising crime rates. By abandoning these high-risk locations, these businesses take with them any job opportunities they provide...

A leading Ukrainian presidential aide claimed this morning that the explosion which damaged a key bridge in Crimea may have been ordered by one of Vladimir Putin's warring commanders. The 12 mile crossing over the Kerch strait links Crimea to the Russian mainland and is a major artery for Putin's forces that control most of southern Ukraine's Kherson region and for the Russian naval port of Sevastopol. It was damaged in an explosion early Saturday morning which saw chunks of the bridge fall into the sea and a large fire break out. The incident prompted gleeful messages from Ukrainian officials...

Pfizer said it had dosed the first participants in the Phase 3 clinical trial designed to test an mRNA-based influenza vaccine designed using the same technology used in its widely-used Covid-19 vaccine, which it developed with German firm BioNTech. The trial, which is based in the U.S., will assess the safety and effectiveness of the shot and will recruit around 25,000 healthy adults. The shot—known as a quadrivalent vaccine—is designed to protect against four different flu viruses and covers the strains the World Health Organization...

Schools Chancellor David Banks quietly promoted Mayor Adams’ girlfriend to a top job at the Department of Education, just months after Adams hired Banks’ girlfriend as a deputy mayor, The Post has learned. Banks named Tracey Collins — Adams’ longtime partner and NYC’s unofficial First Lady — the DOE’s “senior advisor to the deputy chancellor of school leadership,” Desmond Blackburn. She started the new job in July, and got a giant, 23% raise to $221,597 a year, records show. Hizzoner named Banks’ girlfriend, Sheena Wright, and four other women deputy mayors last Dec. 21. Deputy mayors made $251,982 in FY...
