The flow of Russian men of fighting age looking to leave the country persisted Tuesday amid fears the government would soon close its borders to stop those trying to evade President Vladimir Putin’s draft. The mass exodus comes as Putin's government tries to energize Russia's faltering offensive in Ukraine, and looked likely to swiftly annex four occupied territories where referendums on joining Russia were being held. The exit of military-age men began shortly after Putin ordered the mobilization of more troops last Wednesday to regain the upper hand in Ukraine. Russia’s defense minister, Sergei Shoigu, said a total of 300,000...

The Italian right is illiberal within the normal illiberal standards of modern Europe. Giorgia Meloni, as you’ve doubtlessly heard, is the “far-right” next prime minister of Italy. So says virtually every news outlet in the United States. And anyone familiar with the left’s perfunctory use of “ultra-conservative,” “far-right,” “hard-right,” or “semi-fascist” to describe those who take positions to the right of the Democratic Party’s latest platform, should be skeptical. Then again, trying to decipher European elections through the prism of American politics is a frustrating endeavor. But here is a cataloging, as best as I can pull together, of...

Liz Cheney makes a declaration concerning 2024… I’m Tomi Lahren. Find out what Bitter Liz is threatening, next. The Texas Tribune Festival was chalked full of bitter liberals this year: Hillary Clinton, Gavin Newsom and Liz Cheney! The loser from Wyoming went down to Austin to declare if Trump is the GOP nominee in 2024, she will leave the Republican Party! First of all, you are and have always been a REPUBLICAN in NAME ONLY and secondly, who gives a rip, Liz? Do you really think Trump supporters or Republicans at large care if you leave the party? You offer...

A recent bombshell report reveals that U.S. census errors could provide significant and unfair advantages for Democrats in future elections, so naturally America’s corporate media have chosen to let those errors quietly slide. Back in May, the U.S. Census Bureau released findings from its 2020 Post-Enumeration Survey (PES), a survey in which “the Census Bureau interviews a sampling of households across the country and then compares the results with actual responses from those households in the original 2020 Census records.” As noted by the Census Bureau, the results of the survey “cannot be used to change the final census count.”While...

Kremlin-controlled gas giant Gazprom (GAZP.MM) said on Tuesday it rejected all claims from Ukraine's energy firm Naftogaz in arbitration proceedings over Russian gas transit, and had notified the arbitration court. It also said that Russia may introduce sanctions against Naftogaz in case it further pursues the arbitration case, meaning Gazprom would be prohibited by the sanctions from paying Ukraine the transit fees. Naftogaz had initiated a new arbitration proceeding against Gazprom earlier this month, saying the Russian company did not pay for the rendered service of gas transportation through Ukraine. read more The company had said "funds were not paid...

(I'm just the poster, not the tester) A YouTuber with 1.4 million followers attempted to tow a 1930 Ford Model A truck with his brand new 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck, but it ended in “a complete and total disaster.” “If a truck towing 3,500 pounds can’t even go 100 miles — that is ridiculously stupid,” Tyler “Hoovie” Hoover says in his video. “This truck can’t do normal truck things. You would be stopping every hour to recharge, which would take about 45 minutes a pop, and that is absolutely not practical.” “This is my new 2023 Ford...

Unfortunately, homelessness is a huge problem in cities like Los Angeles. And there’s no question that the pandemic has only made the crisis worse. For Shacola Thompson, who lives in Van Nuys, the issue has become personal recently. She’s been trying to get a homeless man to leave her porch for weeks but to no avail. As noted by MSN, the man “continues to return and make himself comfortable on her porch.” In addition to the stress of somebody encroaching on her space, Thompson told KTLA, “I don’t feel safe when I come out here and try to enjoy my...

Whenever Italy elects a right-of-center Prime Minister, the international press labels them a fascist and links them to Mussolini (coincidentally, the only Italian PM they’ve heard of). What was true for Silvio Berlusconi and Mario Draghi is true of their latest PM, Giorgia Meloni, elected over the weekend.... I’m no scholar in Italian politics, nor have I invested much time researching the 317 parties jockeying for control from Turin to Taranto. But considering the news media’s coverage of U.S. politics, I didn’t fall for their latest imprecation. They claimed Ronald Reagan was a fascist. As was Bush Sr., Bush Jr.,...

Christina Pushaw, the DeSantis campaign’s rapid response director, blasted Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) after the senator bizarrely implied that voting for Democrats will stop hurricanes. During an appearance on Morning Joe, failed Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Amy Klobuchar suggested that voting for Democrats will help stop extreme weather events, essentially blaming hurricanes on “climate change.” “We just did something about climate change, for the first time in decades. That’s why we’ve got to win this, as that hurricane bears down on Florida. We gotta win in the midterms,” Klobuchar said, implying that Democrat policies would help prevent extreme weather phenomena,...

"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." "Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness." Revelation, Chapter 20 1 And...

Two people have been formally charged with murder after a man was found dead in an Inver Grove Heights home early Saturday morning. Officers went to a home in the 2100 block of 78th Court East shortly after 2 a.m. after a 911 dispatcher heard the caller yelling for help and saying, “they are trying to get into my house,” but the call then went silent. Inside the home, officers found 43-year-old Michael Chang-Beom Lee dead in a bathroom. A criminal complaint states one officer saw two people inside a vehicle near the home and they told the officer that...

This is tragic and infuriating on a hellish level that makes me weep for these kids. Twitter put a "sensitive" content warning on the tweet because it contains two screenshots from Reddit where a girl who has been mutilated to look like a man writes about how she has nothing to live for because she feels like a freak of nature. I'm going to post her story here because these stories need and deserve to be told, but it's raw, folks. Proceed with the understanding that this is weighty, horrific stuff. ******************************************************************************* ******************************************************************************* God in heaven above, be with these...

The CDC published a study surveying young people who suffered from myocarditis after COVID-19 vaccination in The Lancet on Sep. 21, showing the organization’s “biased selective analysis” and dismissing severe reactions to the controversial vaccines, according to cardiologist Dr. Sanjay Verma. The Lancet published the survey of young people ages 12 to 29 who suffered from myocarditis—a severe heart inflammation disease—after taking a COVID vaccine, based on VAERS reports from Jan. 12 to Nov. 5, 2021. The survey assessed patient outcomes at least 90 days after the onset of myocarditis symptoms after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination. The Lancet publication shows that...

The FBI on Sept. 26 changed the total number of documents it said it seized from former President Donald Trump’s estate. Sixty-three additional documents or photographs without classification markings were taken from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort than previously listed by the FBI, according to an updated inventory list. The revised inventory was submitted to the federal court in southern Florida on orders from U.S. District Judge Raymond Dearie, a Reagan appointee who was inserted into the case as a special master, or an independent third party to handle disputes and other matters. Dearie ordered a government official “with sufficient knowledge of...

California Democratic congresswoman Katie Porter blasted a local police department for arresting a man she lived with after he allegedly assaulted a pro-Trump protester in July 2021. Following the incident, Porter sent a scathing text to Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan to tell them that their officers were a 'disgrace.' The leaked text message was reported by Fox News in September, more than a year after the event The fight occurred at Porter's first town hall following the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, which was held in Irvine. Julian Willis was arrested after apparently giving a Trump supporter a bloody nose,...

Every two years, Ligonier Ministries works with LifeWay Research to evaluate the theological temperature of the American church. This year’s State of Theology study’s results show that not just Americans but Evangelicals, in particular, are increasingly muddy on core truths such as the nature and character of God, the reality of human sin, the role of the Church in the world, and the exclusivity and divinity of Jesus Christ. For context, the survey defines “Evangelical” as a Christian believer who meets four criteria: that the Bible is the highest authority for what someone believes, that it is important for non-Christians...

The Storm Is Here: An American Crucible Luke Mogelson. Penguin Press, $28 (368p) ISBN 978-0-593-48921-5 The clash of right and left during 2020 reveals America’s blighted soul in this vivid account. New Yorker writer Mogelson (These Heroic, Happy Dead) interviews rifle-toting militiamen protesting Michigan’s lockdown measures, documents violent demonstrations in Minneapolis and Portland, Ore., after the killing of George Floyd, and mingles with “Stop the Steal” protestors in Washington, D.C. The book’s climax is an impressionistic, firsthand account of the January 6 Capitol riot: “Each time the mob heaved, it lifted me off my feet. One of the people I...
