When Russian President Vladimir Putin launched an unprovoked war against Ukraine nearly seven months ago, he significantly underestimated the willingness of Western governments to become involved in the conflict between two Soviet neighbors, an expert on Russia told Insider. ... Experts told Insider's John Haltiwanger that Russia's strategic defeat throughout the war thus far has "dramatically" altered perceptions of Russia's military strength and may ultimately put Putin's regime in jeopardy. "All of this is pretty humiliating for Putin, as it should be," Miles said. "This is legitimate humiliation on the world stage."

One of the biggest social media platforms in the world has allegedly been spying on the private messages and personal data of users who believe that voter fraud took place in the 2020 election, and has subsequently been handing this information over to the FBI. According to the New York Post, the alleged surveillance operation by Facebook and its coordination with the government was confirmed by several anonymous sources in the Department of Justice (DOJ). The sources allege that employees at Facebook have been red-flagging any suspicious private messages over the last 19 months, sending the information directly to the...

"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets." "What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion." "Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For...

[Catholic Caucus] Astana: Rigid Francis Is Still Obsessed with RigidityFrancis who is a nostalgic of the failed Vatican II, delivered another rigidity rant on September 15 when telling the local clergy at Astana Cathedral, not to be "nostalgic," not "to be stuck in the past” and not to be "paralysed and immobile.”In a complaining, rigid, ideological and moralising attitude, Francis insisted on a Church that is “uncomplaining, rejecting rigidity, dogmatism and moralising.”He insisted on giving more room to the laity “lest our communities become rigid or clerical” - but did not say where the money should come from to pay...

New research from University College London (now formally known as London’s Global University) warns that so-called “green energy” and the political push behind it is driving a shortage of sulfuric acid, a fertilizer component also found in lithium-ion batteries. Published in Geographic Journal, the study reveals that upwards of 80 percent of the global supply of sulfur comes from the desulfurization of fossil fuels, which the climate brigade has pronounced as evil because they are supposedly heavy polluters. The push to “decarbonize” the planet in order to cool it and prevent global warming and climate change is making sulfur much harder...

Recently, the entitled, affluent, white residents on Martha's Island narrowly avoided a disaster of epic proportions. Apparently, 50 (that's f-i-f-t-y) illegal aliens were FedExed by Governor DeSantis to the enclave of the rich and famous. Panic and a mass meltdown ensued. Prior to their unwelcome arrival on the island, the Emergency Alert System (ELS) was initiated to warn residents of the impending invasion. Doors were locked, windows shuttered and beloved pets were rushed to safety. Terrified residents immediately fled to the safety of their panic rooms where they were forced to eat caviar on stale Ritz crackers and drink tap...

I was educated in the school district ranked by Niche.com as America’s third-best. Immigrants from around the world come to Great Neck, N.Y., to raise their children. My best friend’s father was at the Tiananmen Square massacre. My classmates left behind their families in El Salvador. My mother escaped revolutionary Iran, and my grandfather escaped the Nazis. Lately, though, the area’s diverse and liberal-minded residents may have reason to think their local school officials aren’t as open-minded as they thought. In 2021 Great Neck North High School directed the student government to give $375 of student funds to a “racial...

I know this is a contentious issue for many, yet the fact that the United States did not exist prior to a certain date, is really hard to ignore. On the Tuesday broadcast, toward the end of the second hour, Clay said the following: I've always been fascisnated, Buck, by the reparations argument in the United States in particular, because you know slavery was only legal in the United States for 80 years. A lot of people never actually do the math on it. United States was a country from 1783 until 1863 that allowed slavery to be permitted as...

NBC News deleted a tweet containing a quote that compared migrants sent to Martha's Vineyard to "trash" in an attempt to criticize Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The quote came from Max Lefeld, a Venezuelan-American and immigrant activist. “It’s like me taking my trash out and just driving to different areas where I live and just throwing my trash there," he said. Ironically, Lefeld is also a founding member of the Casa Venezuela Dallas foundation, a charity that helps refugees. NBC posted the quote in a tweet with a link to its article, but deleted the tweet after receiving criticism online....

After failing to secure Republican support to alter Delaware's Constitution to enshrine mail-in voting rights, Democrat lawmakers in the state passed a bill on June 22 enabling registered voters to request a mail-in ballot before the election without an excuse. It was signed into law by Democrat Gov. John Carney on July 22. On Wednesday, Vice Chancellor Nathan Cook of the Delaware Court of Chancery ruled SB 320 unconstitutional. Although in the November general election, those who cannot make it to the polls can still request an absentee ballot and same-day registration is still allowed, mail-in voting will be prohibited.The...

In Part 1 of this interview (click here), Vera Sharav and Scott Schara draw parallels between the Nazi Holocaust and the Covid debacle. In both situations, government demonized humans, forced experimental medicines on them, and carried out genocidal aims through medical protocols. We continue the discussion with Part 2, when Vera Sharav and Scott Schara emphasize the importance of personal responsibility on the part of individuals to break away from the groupthink that established the tyranny of the Nazi regime and today allows government to strip away liberties in the name of keeping everyone “safe.” Scott Schara serves as...

A team of psychological researchers from Australia is delving into the mindset of those who refuse to buy the notion that man-made climate change is quickly creating an unlivable, barren wasteland on Earth. Researchers from the University of the Sunshine Coast looked to explain why such “cranks” continue to deny what they call “the reality of climate change, its causes, impacts and the need for mitigatory action.”The study’s authors — Breanna Fraser, Patrick Nunn, and Rachael Sharman — set out to discover why climate change skeptics think the way they do, beyond what they call “sociodemographic and value factors.” Instead,...

On Sept. 16, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit handed down a long-awaited ruling in NetChoice v. Paxton, upholding the constitutionality of a Texas law that greatly restricts the ability of large social media platforms to moderate content and imposes certain transparency requirements. NetChoice, a trade association, challenged the legislation on First Amendment grounds. The Fifth Circuit had previously stayed a preliminary injunction against the law issued by a district court, only for the Supreme Court to vacate the stay. In its ruling today finding the legislation constitutional, the appeals court found a key provision limiting content...

A powerful, historic storm continued battering a huge swath of the Western Alaska coastline on Saturday, with reports of flooding, wind damage and power outages. The extent of flooding and damage wasn’t immediately clear but social media posts reported flooding in multiple communities. As the system approached Alaska late Friday and into early Saturday, roaring south-to-southwesterly winds battered the state’s western coast. Through Saturday morning, widespread gusts had reached 45 to 77 mph, according to the National Weather Service. In Hooper Bay, with a population of over 1,000 people, some families were reportedly evacuating and social media posts showed water...

Germany’s public broadcaster, Deutsche Welle, has revised its code of conduct to require support for Israel’s right to exist, and employees who fail to do so may now be fired. The move announced Sept. 1 preceded a court order last week that DW reinstate a former employee fired who was fired after the company determined she had made comments about Israel that could be construed as antisemitic. In all, seven employees from the broadcaster’s Arabic service were let go last year on similar grounds, and so far two have successfully sued DW for reinstatement. The revised conduct code appears to...

Robert Keith Packer’s sister asked people not to judge him by his cover, a “Camp Auschwitz” sweatshirt. A prosecutor said he was wearing a Nazi SS T-shirt underneath. The revelation of what Packer, a 57-year-old Virginia pipefitter, was wearing on Jan. 6, 2021, came Thursday when a federal judge sentenced him to 75 days for his role in the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol. The sweatshirt, which became a symbol of the rioters’ ties to white supremacist movements, was “incredibly offensive,” U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols said before handing down the sentence. “It seems to me that he wore...
