A 30-year-old North Macedonian man is alive today, thanks to a small soccer ball that children 80 miles away had lost ten days earlier. Some time earlier this month, a man known only as “Ivan” was vacationing with friends near Kassandra, Greece. They were enjoying time on the beach when a strong current swept three people, including Ivan, far out to sea. Ivan’s friends alerted authorities, who immediately sprang into action, but despite a thorough search, no one could find him. Well, it’s finally happened. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Biden’s chief medical advisor, has finally acknowledged something that many experts and many of us in conservative media have been saying for months now: that the COVID-19 vaccines “don’t protect overly well” against infection. One of the things that’s clear from the data [is] that even though vaccines — because of the high degree of transmissibility of this virus — don’t protect overly well, as it were, against infection, they protect quite well against severe disease leading to hospitalization and...

The Democrats have realized they are rapidly losing the support of Hispanics, and that’s part of the reason Jill Biden was dispatched to speak at a “Latinx IncluXion Luncheon.” Let’s just say the first lady’s pander-iffic speech backfired on Dems and her office ended up apologizing. The Hill is now reporting that Republicans are taking advantage of the Left’s pandering and policy failures to “steal” Hispanic voters from the Dems: GOP sees chance to steal Hispanic voters from Democrats https://t.co/exjZNLuLCc pic.twitter.com/k5Dk3XE3QV — The Hill (@thehill) July 14, 2022 “Steal”? A petition in Ukraine calling for same-sex marriage to be legalised has gained enough signatures for the president to consider the proposal. The petition has more than 28,000 signatures, meaning President Volodymyr Zelensky now has 10 days to respond. Homosexuality is not illegal in Ukraine, but same-sex marriages and civil partnerships are not recognised. This has caused particular problems for LGBT people signing up for the military following Russia's invasion. For example, under Ukrainian law if someone in a same-sex relationship dies, their partner cannot collect their body or bury them. The online petition says: "At this time, every day...

There has been a burst of stories in recent weeks describing devastating internal conflicts within progressive organizations, the most conspicuous of which was Ryan Grim’s June 13 Intercept piece, “Elephant in the Zoom: Meltdowns Have Brought Progressive Advocacy Groups to a Standstill at a Critical Moment in World History.” Grim’s assessment resonated across the internet and was quickly followed by ...Jon Gabriel’s article in the Arizona Republic on June 18, “Who needs a right-wing plot when progressives are busy eating themselves alive?”...and John Harris’s June 23 Politico essay, “The Left Goes to War with Itself.” ... ... The answer to why so many are dropping out starts with economics. In the United States, social mobility has declined precipitously over the last four decades. A 2016 study found that since the early Eighties, the chance of middle-class earners moving up to the top rungs of the earnings ladder dropped by approximately 20%. According to projections from Deloitte, by 2030, millennials will be the largest adult generation by far but will own only 16% of the country’s wealth. Gen Xers will hold 31%, while Baby Boomers, who will be entering their eighties and nineties, will control 45%. Partly,...

Just two months in, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is the most monumental failure at the podium in recorded history: “It’s been a rocky first month for White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. Her answers have baffled reporters, and even made some of her White House colleagues wince.” Imagine how bad her performance really has been to induce neoliberal Politico into writing such an unflattering intro paragraph. That’s like a Hindu priest beating a sacred cow. Ordinarily, while covering a sacrosanct immigrant lesbian Person of Color© in such a position, Politico would fawn. Just how historically awful has Jean-Pierre...

VIDEOThe New York Times came out with a puff piece recently defending poor Ray Epps who was perhaps the only active participant in the J6 protests who has been treated kindly by both the mainstream media and the government. Ironically, in the New York Times own documentary about the events of January 6 published on June 30, 2021 the narrator identifies Ray Epps as an instigator who urged people to storm the Capitol.
