In the immediate aftermath of the Supreme Court’s monumental decision to overturn Roe v Wade, conservative writer John Ellis took to the internet to make a provocative case: It was time for Hillary Clinton to make a(nother) political comeback. “Now is her moment,” he wrote. “The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade creates the opening for Hillary Clinton to get out of stealth mode and start down the path toward declaring her candidacy for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination.” Ellis’ argument is centered on the ideas that 1) President Joe Biden, who will be 82 shortly after the...

What was the last known count approximately of U.S. citizens that are still stranded in Afghanistan? Soon after the deadly debacle of an exit the administration was quoting estimates that were probably low-balled, but I hadn't noticed any recent word on any citizens that made it out after that. There could be zero left now for all I know but that's not likely knowing the administration's batting record.

Sheriff Roy Boyd of Goliad County, Texas, joined other law enforcement officials from his state last week to raise alarm about the border crisis that’s wreaking havoc in America. These local officials, who confront the consequences daily, are now calling it an “invasion.” Boyd, a seventh-generation Texan, recently spoke to The Daily Signal about what it’s like in Goliad County, the vicious cartels trafficking humans and drugs, and why the problem of illegal immigration is much worse than anyone realizes. “This is just a tidal wave of people coming across. It is an invasion. There’s no two ways about it,”...

President Biden is facing an alarming level of doubt from inside his own party, with 64 percent of Democratic voters saying they would prefer a new standard-bearer in the 2024 presidential campaign, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll, as voters nationwide have soured on his leadership, giving him a meager 33 percent job-approval rating. [cut] John Waldron, a 69-year-old registered Republican and retired machinist in Schenectady, N.Y., voted for Mr. Biden in 2020. Today, he said, he regrets it and plans to vote Republican in 2024. “I thought he was going to do something for this country, but...

Last week, NASA administrator Bill Nelson told us we'd see the "deepest image of our Universe that has ever been taken" on July 12, thanks to the newly operational James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). And we know many of you excitedly marked the date in your calendar. But over the weekend the space agency announced that they'd actually be releasing one the very first image a day ahead of schedule – at 5pm EDT (2100 UTC and 7am AEST on Tuesday 12 July). Prosecutors may have a case for federal prostitution offenses against Hunter Biden, according to documents, texts and videos that show he spent a staggering $30,000 on escorts in a five-month period. The Thomas Jefferson Foundation has drawn criticism for transforming Thomas Jefferson’s Charlottesville, Virginia, home into an exhibit on slavery. The foundation manages Monticello — the primary plantation and residence of the founding father and third president of the United States. Monticello was once a tribute to a man who helped draft the Declaration of Independence — the founding document of the U.S. Now, the plantation’s management has transformed it into a site that emphasizes the fact that Jefferson enslaved people, the New York Post reported. As the New York Post puts it, Monticello “offers visitors a harangue on the horrors...

President Joe Biden’s administration wants the United States to cut carbon emissions in half by 2030 — and a big part of that plan involves a switchover to electric vehicles. EVs, we’re told, are the way of the future. Gone are worries about “range anxiety,” we’re told. These vehicles can put in some serious miles on a single charge — and the government’s building more charging infrastructure along the highways every day.

It was a piece of news so obscure and implausible that I missed it when it first surfaced last month. The news was that the Russians are going to put hypersonic nuclear missiles into Nicaragua and terrify the Americans into backing down over Ukraine. Or kill them all if they don’t.“If American missile systems can nearly reach Moscow from Ukrainian territory, it’s time for Russia to roll out something powerful closer to the American ‘city on a hill,’” Olga Skabeyeva said on the news show on “Rossiya-1,” the most popular Russian TV channel.Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega published a decree last...

Representative Adam Kinzinger, an Illinois Republican, said Sunday that in 10 years there won't be any supporters of former President Donald Trump left in the United States. His comment came during an interview on ABC's This Week after he was asked about Republicans' views on the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. The congressman sits on the House select committee that is investigating last year's riot, which has been holding a series of public hearings in recent weeks. "There's a lot of recent polling showing that the number of Republicans over the last year who view this...

Can you imagine what it would be like to literally starve to death? Most Americans believe that if a nuclear war with Russia actually happens the vast majority of the U.S. population will be instantly wiped out. But that is not what the science says. What the studies have shown is that only about 20 percent of the U.S. population will be instantly killed during a nuclear exchange. If you live near a military base or some other highly strategic target you will probably be among that 20 percent. Otherwise, it is likely that you will starve to death during...
