The S&P 500 is set to open in bear market territory on Monday, a 20 percent decline from January, a sign of growing pessimism about the outlook for the economy. Markets around the world tumbled, as higher-than-expected inflation and lower-than-expected economic growth upend the outlook for interest rates and corporate profits. Stocks in Asia and Europe fell, investors dumped government bonds, oil prices slipped and cryptocurrencies crashed. U.S. stock futures pointed to a steep decline at the open of trading, as a wave of selling continued. The S&P 500 briefly dipped into bear market territory last month, before recovering to...

Former President Donald Trump’s effort to extract revenge on lawmakers who challenged his hold on the GOP meets its latest test Tuesday in South Carolina, where he has thrown his weight behind challengers to Reps. Tom Rice, who voted to impeach him, and Nancy Mace, who criticized his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, uprising. Trump has endorsed state Rep. Russell Fry, one of six Republicans running against Rice in the 7th District, and former state Rep. Katie Arrington, who is challenging Mace in the 1st. He appeared with them at a South Carolina rally in March and boosted them...

On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 7910, euphemistically titled “Protecting Our Kids Act,” 223 for to 204 against. The bill was passed primarily along party lines, with Democrats and Republicans voting against it. The bill is a collection of long-standing Progressive efforts to restrict people from having access to some of the most popular rifles and shotguns in the country. As has become the norm, Progressives are using a rare, emotional event to push sweeping legislation across the finish line, which could not be done through reasoned debate. This is precisely the opposite of how legislative decisions...

We hear plenty of reasons for the perfect storm that imploded California. One-party, progressive government, of course. Decades of unchecked illegal immigration, without doubt. Years of mass flight out of state of the productive middle classes, certainly.

But perhaps the most important, but overlooked, reason has been the infusion of trillions of dollars of mostly tech capital into the state. Unimaginable sums of market capital warped politics and led to a top-down, feudal society, run by progressive elites who are shielded from the ramifications of their own toxic ideologies.

How corrupt Democratic politicians and leftist defund-the-police policies have brought Baltimore to the brink of collapse. In Democrat-led cities across America, leftist elites and their pro-criminal policies continue to cause increasing crime and disorder. Black Lives Matter Marxists and the Democratic Party peddle the big lie of “systemic police racism,” as leftists push to defund police departments. Meantime, city and county prosecutors backed by the anti-American globalist billionaire George Soros have shattered the rule of law, unleashed a tidal wave of violence, and escalated the war on cops. Last year, 16 Democrat-led cities witnessed record-level homicide rates. The vast majority...

This is another one of those threads where we feel like the writer themselves has done a far better job than we ever could so we’ll leave the writing up to them. Too late, we know, we’re already writing but still … Jaden is a 22-year-old detrans male who shared his story about transitioning as a teenager, puberty blockers, and more. Take a look: Hello, my name is Jaden. I’m a 22 year old detrans male and former puberty blocked individual who socially, hormonally, and surgically transitioned as a teenager. To anyone standing on a hilltop in Lysychansk, it is clear why this city that is soon to be the focal point of Russia’s offensive in Ukraine’s east seems defendable: it’s on high ground. Across the sprawling plains of Ukraine’s Donbas region, which is home to Lysychansk, elevation is a rarity, leaving the city’s Ukrainian defenders in an advantageous position. But it will be impossible to defend Lysychansk, whose pre-war population was around 100,000 people, without a way to get in the necessary supplies: ammunition for Ukrainian tanks and artillery, food and equipment for the thousands of troops garrisoned there.

IPray For The Peace of JerusalemGenesis 19Lot and His Daughters 30 Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man around here to give us children—as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Let’s get our father to drink wine and then sleep with him and preserve our family line through our father.” 33 That night they got their father...

Rep Thomas Massie draws a Ruger LCP handgun from his pocket during a rally in support of the Second Amendment on Jan. 31, 2020 in Frankfort, Kentucky.Republican Rep. Thomas Massie fired back at Democrat Rep. David Cicilline after he suggested during a congressional hearing that there wasn’t "a single incident" where someone with an assault weapon "was stopped by a person with a gun." "The fact that guns are used by good guys every single day to prevent and stop bad guys is an inconvenient truth for Rep Cicilline and other Democrats who want to trample on the Second Amendment,"...

I’m a proud American. I’ve always taken pride in the rich culture of our country. While I loved traveling to other places, I never wanted to move away from the freedom and openness of our constitutional republic. Here, I could start my own business and make it succeed. I could raise my family, rely on public education, and live in a safe place. My, how times have changed. My neighborhood is dangerous, our schools immerse our youth in radical dogma, and the government can shut everyone’s businesses down at will. Try finding something real to grab onto these days. Is...

Because we have the majority of like-minded voters, Congress is desperate to divide, distract, and dilute. All I heard from the Democrats' prime-time telecast of their J6 Soviet show trial was blah, blah, blah, Americans are racist, Trump's a terrorist, and Congress must tear up more of the Constitution to save "democracy." Lights, camera, distraction! The way-off-Broadway tragicomedy produced by State media at once radiated the cheap emotionalism of a soap opera while leaving the ludicrous impression that our exalted leaders are nothing but ventriloquist dummies seeking refuge from a bad vaudeville routine. It was difficult not to laugh at...

This is where independents' inclination to vote Democrat will collapse. Most of us already know how we are going to vote in November. "Use Your Head and Vote Red" is a good answer to the other side's "Vote Blue, No Matter Who." We know in advance how the elections are going to turn out in hardcore Republican and Democratic states and enclaves. We do not expect California or New York to elect Republicans, nor are Wyoming and Idaho likely to elect Democrats. All the other races will, however, be decided by the swing voters who hold the balance of power,...

While working Americans suffer the worst decline in real income since waning months of the Carter Administration, America’s political parties are in disarray with internal divisions almost as intense as the issues that have polarized “red state” and “blue state” America. Neither party has a proposal – credible or otherwise – on the political agenda to alleviate the inflation that is crushing family income. And neither has the prospect of gaining a governing mandate, as opposed to a temporary majority. It’s a national train wreck, and no one has a plan to stop it. Unless his legal problems interfere, Donald...

“‘But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you’” (Matthew 6:33). When Christians think like the world and crave things in the world, they will worry like the world, because a mind not focused on God is a mind that has cause to worry. The faithful, trusting, and reasonable Christian is “anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving [let his] requests be made known to God” (Phil. 4:6). The antidote to worry that results in contentment is to make God and His kingdom your priority. Jesus is...

A bipartisan group of senators announced a deal Sunday on framework legislation to address a recent surge in gun violence in the U.S. The proposed legislation includes funding for school safety resources, strengthened background checks for buyers under the age of 21, incentives for states to implement their own “red flag’ laws, penalties for straw purchases of firearms, and increased protections for domestic violence victims. The bipartisan group was made up of 20 senators, including 10 GOP lawmakers, many of which are strong supporters of gun rights and political allies of the powerful National Rifle Association. With support from those...

Nearly half of the 1.6 million Americans who identify as transgender are teenagers or young adults, and some of the highest rates of youth transgenderism occur in blue states, according to a new study. The study, conducted by the University of California Los Angeles Williams Institute, found that transgenderism rates varied between states, with New York seeing a 3% rate among youth compared to roughly 0.6% in Wyoming.
