The Senate voted Tuesday on a bill that could overturn the Biden administration’s mask mandate for small children in Head Start facilities in a 55–41 vote. “Even though most Americans stopped wearing masks in almost every setting, children are still required to wear masks all day long in Head Start locations. Current HHS guidance demands that kids wear a mask even if they are outside, and even if they are as young as two years old. After two years, the last thing we need is to continue these outdated pandemic policies that are hurting kids’ educations,” Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa)...

Liberty University is being investigated by federal officials in the wake of a long list of claims that the school mishandled sexual assault allegations. The investigation was prompted by a ProPublica report last year that revealed how the Christian institution in Lynchburg, Virginia, which was founded by now ousted president and evangelist Jerry Falwell, discouraged students who tried to report being sexually assaulted. Some students were told they had broken Liberty's moral code of conduct, 'The Liberty Way' and others were encouraged to pray instead of reporting their cases. A lawsuit filed by 12 women last October amplified ongoing concerns,...

There’s a saying, and I don’t know who coined it, but it goes something like, “Go woke; go broke.” I do know that former president Donald Trump said that “everything woke turns to s**t.” One company that’s learning this lesson the hard way — even though nobody there will admit it publicly — is Disney. David Ng at Breitbart is reporting that The Walt Disney Company has lost a whopping $63 billion in market capitalization over the past two months. “Shares of Disney have plummeted 23.5 percent since the start of March, falling from $145.70,” Ng writes. “Market cap is...

I was there. Sitting in my living room, waiting, tuned in to CBS on November 17, 1978. No Love Boat, Lou Ferrigno or Lynda Carter tonight – tonight was reserved for (epic trailer voice:) The Star Wars Holiday Special. I clicked the TV dial all the way over to WHIO and sat down on the couch. On screen, they announced that the Incredible Hulk wouldn't be airing tonight and as the word SPECIAL spun around into multi-colors, the lights went down and the Millennium Falcon flew away from a dingy brown planet that looked a lot like Tatooine, its engines...

Having watched a bunch of Republican Senators question Mayorkas, I have come to the conclusion his "don't have an answer to that/I can send you the data on that," and his repeated refusal to answer good logical questions leads me to bestow upon him the award for best bureaucratic bs artist and King of the Bureaucratic Morass.

Disturbing videos on TikTok show teachers bragging about how they initiate classroom discussions on sexual orientation and gender identity. While it is not known what grade cohorts these people who claim to be teachers preside over, some proudly talk about the need to introduce sexualized content to children as young as three years old. “Kids as young as three and four are actually aware of their gender identity,” one explained. “They are very aware of who they like and who they don’t like. They are very much ready for these topics and are way more accepting than adults when it...

The word “racism,” or a variation of the word, was used every single day in April by hosts and guests on MSNBC. “Racism,” “Racist,” “Structural Racism,” “Overt Racism,” “Open Racism,” and even “Environmental Racism” were constantly repeated on the network with zero pushback whatsoever. Hosts and guests would also combine “racism” with other ‘woke’ phrases such as “sexism,” “homophobia,” “xenophobia,” and “antisemitism.” The use of these highly charged words was generally directed toward Republican politicians and conservative voters but also toward the United States and its institutions as a whole. MSNBC figures that repeatedly invoked “racism” include Joy Reid, Ari...

Just as the midterms begin to go into full swing Antifa shows back up. In Portland, Oregon Republican volunteers were forced to flee when a violent group of Antifa members in black bloc attacked them. Mayor of Sandy, Oregon Stan Pulliam is running for governor and had an event in Portland. The event went well until Antifa showed and started attacking Republicans with motor fireworks. “This is what happens when a Republican dares to hold an event in Portland to talk about funding our police. Antifa shows up. Well we won’t be intimidated and stop speaking the truth,” Pulliam said.

A “pansexual” art teacher at a middle school in Florida says she has been fired for discussing her sexual orientation with her students, who then created flags representing their own sexuality and gender identities, which included transgender, non-binary, and gay. The Lee County School District told local media sources that she was fired for failing to follow the mandated curriculum. “I was just being myself,” Casey Scott, who taught art at Trafalgar Middle School in Cape Coral, Florida, told NBC2. “A discussion happened in class, and because of that, now I’m fired.” Watch Below:

Award-winning journalist, TV host, and author Skip Bayless reacts to the news that former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson, who coached the team from 1999 to 2004 and again from 2005 to 2011, will advise the Lakers in their search for a new head coach after Frank Vogel was fired: “It feels like Jeanie Buss just fired LeBron [James] as the unofficial GM of the Lakers. It feels like she’s angry about the Westbrook debacle and is bringing back Phil Jackson into the fold.”

The world’s largest ocean and inland freight transportation company warns about gathering storm clouds above the global economy as potential stagflation risks emerge and shuttering of China’s factories because of the COVID-19 outbreak even as it reported record profits for the first quarter. Maersk’s chief executive Søren Skou was quoted by Financial Times as saying the second quarter is expected to be in line with the first quarter, which allowed the shipper to record the highest profits in its 114-year history. However, Skou delivered this warning: “We are assuming a slowdown in the second half, a normalization. The visibility is...

David Wright is known for his ability to lead his funds through periods of intense volatility, like 2008, where his fund nearly broke even on the year while the major equity index shed half of their value. His losses during the COVID rout of 2020 were also relatively mild. But those market ructions will likely be remembered as relatively staid in comparison to the selloff that’s just around the corner. According to Wright, who shared his thoughts on the market during an interview with Bloomberg, both of these periods – along with the dotcom crash – both had nothing on...

Since she was 18, Maxine Moul has been a registered Democrat. She remained a Democrat while serving as Nebraska’s first female lieutenant governor under Gov. Ben Nelson in the 1990s and during a run for Congress in 2006. Not now. Moul recently switched her political party registration to Republican, joining what appears to be a small, but possibly significant shift to vote in a hotly contested gubernatorial primary.

The judge in the case of Democratic cybersecurity lawyer Michael Sussmann has agreed to review dozens of records currently withheld because of assertions of attorney-client privilege by Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign to see if they have been improperly concealed. The agreement is a win for special counsel John Durham in his case against Sussmann, who has been indicted on charges of concealing his clients, the Clinton campaign and tech executive Rodney Joffe, from FBI general counsel James Baker when he pushed eventually debunked claims of a secret backchannel between the Trump Organization and Russia’s Alfa Bank. Judge Christopher Cooper...

Still, McKinley said he would support McCarthy if the GOP wins back the House and McCarthy was the candidate for speaker. “If Kevin McCarthy is the candidate, I’m going to be voting yes,” McKinley said. West Virginia is in dire need of infrastructure improvements, according to the American Society of Civil Engineers. The group gave the state’s infrastructure a “D” on its 2020 report card, noting that many existing public works are deteriorated and that new construction, replacement and repair efforts have not kept up with what is needed. West Virginia would expect to get around $3.8 billion in formula...
