NANTUCKET, Mass. (AP) — Nantucket is a step closer to allowing anyone who chooses regardless of gender to go topless on the Massachusetts resort island’s beaches. The Gender Equality on Beaches bylaw amendment passed 327-242 at Tuesday night’s annual town meeting, according to published reports. The measure is not a done deal. It still requires approval from the state attorney general’s office. The bylaw was proposed by seventh-generation Nantucket resident Dorothy Stover and reads in part: “In order to promote equality for all persons, any person shall be allowed to be topless on any public or private beach” in town....

Boris Johnson’s ruling Conservative Party is set to lose over 500 seats in Britain’s upcoming local elections, if polling is to be believed. Cataclysm appears to be on the cards for Boris Johnson’s ruling Conservative Party, with a survey finding that the scandal-prone government looks set to hand over a seat advantage to its leftist rival Labour Party the likes of which has not been seen in decades.

The first Durbin Amendment – a set of regulations from Dodd Frank that largely destroyed part of the debit card market – was a fiasco in every way. A second Durbin Amendment, currently being considered by Democrats in Congress, would be even worse for America’s consumers, community banks, and credit unions. The original Durbin Amendment – named after its author, liberal Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) – was passed in 2010 as part of thelargely disastrousDodd-Frank Act under President Obama. It slapped harsh regulations on debit cards. While the goal was to lower consumers’ cost and exempt community banks and credit...

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden plans to highlight deficit reduction in remarks Wednesday at the White House, noting that the government will pay down the national debt this quarter for the first time in six years. The Democratic president has placed renewed emphasis on deficit reduction … the burst of $1.9 trillion in coronavirus relief approved in 2021 has already paid off in the form of faster growth that now makes it easier to stabilize government finances. It is unclear if greater fiscal responsibility can deliver politically for Biden as Democrats try to defend control of Congress. His two...

Russia has repeatedly denounced the continuous flow of weapons into Ukraine from the West, saying that it adds fuel to the fire and derails the negotiation process. Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said that any NATO vehicle coming to Ukraine with weapons or equipment for Ukrainian forces will be considered a legitimate target for destruction. "The United States and its NATO allies continue to pump weapons into Ukraine. I can confirm that any transport from the North Atlantic alliance that arrives in the country with weapons or materiel for the Ukrainian armed forces will be considered by us as a...

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) announced Tuesday that Rep. Antonio Delgado (D-N.Y.) would serve as her new lieutenant governor after Brian Benjamin, who previously held the post, resigned in April. Delgado’s ascension to the lieutenant governorship marks the latest culmination in a scandal that broke out last month when Benjamin was arrested on charges related to campaign finance fraud. Still, Delgado’s departure from the House to trek to Albany has implications on the congressional landscape. Delgado had been a top Republican target in a district the GOP believes it can flip. His resignation marks a big boost to Dutchess...

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — If you are Black or Hispanic in a conservative state that already limits access to abortions, you are far more likely than a white woman to have one. And if the U.S. Supreme court allows states to further restrict or even ban abortions, minority women will bear the brunt of it, according to statistics analyzed by The Associated Press. The potential impact on minority women became all the more clear on Monday with the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion suggesting the court’s conservative majority is poised to overturn the landmark 1973 decision legalizing abortion....

The movie ‘2000 Mules’ is set for release this week in over 200 theaters across the country. In the film, Dinesh D’Souza and True the Vote provide answers and evidence of the stolen 2020 Election in this documentary released on Tuesday at select theaters across the nation. ...... Snip...... We already know from our sources that the evidence from Georgia will ROCK the corrupt Democrat Party to its core. Sadly, FOX News failed to post ONE SINGLE REPORT on “2000 Mules.” Not one. This is a huge disappointment. FOX News is too weak to air ANY coverage on the movie....

The Southern Border might be thousands of miles away from New Hampshire, but you can ask anyone in law enforcement here: that’s the undisputed source of the drugs poisoning our communities. Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress know this, too. They just don’t care. On Day 1 of the Biden administration, our border was secure—but the President’s radical left base was not. To shore up the MSNBC crowd, they immediately rolled back nearly every one of President Trump’s policies. These shortsighted actions include repealing the successful “Remain in Mexico” policy, stonewalling construction of the border wall, and re-implementing the dangerous...

The left’s freakout over a leaked draft of a Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade is hardly surprising. It has a collective breakdown whenever it loses on an issue, even a trivial one. But what did surprise us was the radical, downright insurrectionist talk spewed by at least one Democrat. The unprecedented leak of a draft of a Supreme Court opinion – apparently in hopes that it would somehow change the outcome – was a sign of the left’s unbalanced mental state. As soon as the leak hit the internet, protests erupted, calls for packing the court and ending...

As the midterm elections fast approach, Democrats have lost a key demographic that they relied on in 2020: college-educated men. The biggest defections from the Democrat Party since the last election have been by this group, amid an overall decline since inauguration of 19 points in support of Biden by those under age 35. The Democrats’ playbook for attracting voters is to toss them some handouts. So it is no coincidence that, six months before Election Day, Biden is working on a plan to give potential supporters upwards of $500 billion. A half-trillion dollars is a lot of money, even...

Roe sowed the seeds of a crisis that will end with America ceasing to be divided: we will become all one thing or all the other. The leak of a draft majority opinion of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade and Casey v. Planned Parenthood — and with it our 50-year regime of legalized murder of the unborn — has rightly captured the nation’s attention. It is without question the most important news story in the country, and, if the draft decision stands, the most important political development in a generation. But it is also more than these things. Whether...

The incessant gnashing of teeth over the purported impending overturning of Roe v. Wade seems to be driven by the oft quoted statistics suggesting overwhelming public opposition to overturning Roe. But does anyone bring up the level of support for abortion just prior to the release of the Roe decision? Honestly, I’ve searched but cannot fund such polling data. Maybe the technology didn’t exist in 1973 to obtain statistically significant numbers, or perhaps society just assumed that killing babies was untenable and didn’t require a ridiculous survey to determine that. (How many surveys are out today to assess people’s acceptance...

Amid the country's ongoing military conflict in Ukraine, an ammunition plant near the Ural Mountains in Russia suffered a massive explosion which resulted in fatalities The FKP Perm Powder Plant, which produces gunpowder and is located in the city of Perm, reportedly endured an explosion at approximately 8 p.m. local time, according to local authorities. The resulting fire eventually killed two workers and injured others. The incident has so far been pinned on "a product" that "caught fire." (Reuters) -U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday will address his efforts to reduce the nation's budget deficit, noting that it is expected to fall for the second straight year amid a recovering economy and waning emergency spending, according to the White House. Biden and his fellow Democrats have come under fire from Republicans for a historic rise in inflation that some critics say stems from overspending in Washington amid the COVID-19 pandemic as well as global supply constraints. He will discuss "his commitment to reducing the deficit going forward while making critical investments to boost the capacity of our economy...

The Department of Homeland Security is dismayed by the uproar over its new Disinformation Governance Board. DHS this week emphasized that the "internal working group," which has no "operational authority or capability," will focus on developing "best practices" to counter disinformation from foreign states and criminal organizations while protecting "free speech and other fundamental rights." Although Republicans who likened the board to an Orwellian Ministry of Truth were exaggerating, there are legitimate grounds for concern about the Biden administration's broader assault on speech it views as dangerous. Even if the DHS board's work does not amount to much, Americans are...

A ferocious wild turkey has been terrorizing residents in Washington, D.C. and Maryland while eluding multiple agencies who are on its trail. Residents have for months reported being attacked by a wild turkey and officials believe it is the same male turkey responsible. Several of these attacks were reported on the Anacostia River Walk Trail near the D.C.-Maryland border. The attacks have become such an issue that authorities posted a sign with a picture of a wild turkey alongside the trail: "Caution! Do not approach wildlife." Dan Rauch with the Department of Energy and Environment told D.C.’s FOX 5 there...
