A ferocious wild turkey has been terrorizing residents in Washington, D.C. and Maryland while eluding multiple agencies who are on its trail.
Residents have for months reported being attacked by a wild turkey and officials believe it is the same male turkey responsible. Several of these attacks were reported on the Anacostia River Walk Trail near the D.C.-Maryland border.
The attacks have become such an issue that authorities posted a sign with a picture of a wild turkey alongside the trail: "Caution! Do not approach wildlife."
Dan Rauch with the Department of Energy and Environment told D.C.’s FOX 5 there are more than 100 wild turkeys throughout the city but believes just one male is responsible for the attacks.
The fowl is believed to have slipped across state lines, expanding the number of agencies on its trail, including D.C.’s Department of Energy, Prince George’s County Parks and Recreation Department, and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
Prince George’s County Parks and Recreation Department told Fox News that no sightings have been reported since last week.

Maybe something it diagreed with ate it.
It looked like a nice fat turkey, as wild turkeys go.
No biggie. DC had a “wild and aggressive” Chewbacca look alike runnin’ around for 8 years.
Maybe found its way to a dinner table? That is where it belongs.
Erdogan the turkey
It’s one of the nicest bike paths along the river, I took many rides from Hyattsville to the Waterfront in DC, but during pandemic the trail got very busy. Hopefully the Turkey will dissuade people lol
In PG County, it probably caught a ghetto fired stray bullet.
Add stuffing and sweet potatoes...
Pennsylvania has a far more troublesome “Turkey” than this one…
Adam Schiff on the loose again?
Up North, turkeys are in their mating season, so toms are somewhat more aggressive. In a month or so this tom will probably be back to normal.
Here in the South, the mating season has gone by, but I see a lot of single hens looking for a place to lay their eggs. They’re not aggressive about it, and will avoid people like Greta Garbo “vanting to be alone”.
Where is the montage from the Rittenhouse coverage where all the media sensations were intoning “crossed state lines” in a deep and serious voice?
“Wild, aggressive turkey terrorizes nation’s capital”
What, by trying to stay neutral in the Ukraine war? People need to grow up - not everyone supports the Ukrainia-Nazi government.
Now they can call in the FBI.
Oh, never mind …
You see what happens when Presidents pardon Turkeys???
They go right back to a life of crime!

Foxes on week, turkeys the next. It has to be these poor defenseless animals are exposed to the rabid swamp critters running DC.
Who can blame them for getting angry?
Anacostia River = open sewer.
I’m getting older but am not yet feeble. I bet I could beat the turkey boot to beek.
