Mirror self-recognition (MSR) is seen as evidence for self-awareness and passing the mark test, in which animals touch or scrape a mark placed on their body in a location that can only be indirectly viewed in a mirror, is used to determine the capacity of an animal for MSR. Aside from chimpanzees, the evidence for other animals having passed the mark test has been criticized and thus inconclusive. By addressing criticisms placed against their previous work on the cleaner fish Labroides dimidiatus, an international team of researchers led by Masanori Kohda from the Graduate School of Science, Osaka City University,...

Transcript of Riccardo Bosi's warning ["No consent. No consent. No consent"]Q is the result of the sacrifices and commitment of countless patriots to win back our captured country from the Deep State and achieve the transformation President Trump promised in this campaign video. President Trump has said the awakening of the public is key to this transformation.Q describes this awakening as follows: "The Great Awakening ('Freedom of Thought’), was designed and created not only as a backchannel to the public (away from the longstanding 'mind’ control of the corrupt & heavily biased media) to endure future events through transparency and...

Wednesday was a good day for parents' rights in Virginia. In addition to Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) signing SB 739 into law, which empowers parents to decide whether their children will wear masks and guarantees in-person instruction, students in the Loudoun County Public School (LCPS) system found relief through a court decision later that evening. As Youngkin and Attorney General Jason Miyares (R) rejoiced about over Twitter, Loudoun County Circuit Court Judge James Fisher had ruled in favor of parents who sued the district for not complying with one of Youngkin's executive orders issued last month, hours after he took...

[Catholic Caucus] A Traditional Catholic Father’s Responses to a Diocesan Synod Questionnaire Everyone knows that the “Synodal Process” has begun, for better or (much more likely) for worse. Dioceses around the world are sending out questionnaires and setting up meetings to “listen to the voice of the People of God.” Quite apart from the ecclesiologically dubious democratic methodology and (even if that were not an issue) the improbability of receiving anything like a representative sample, savvy Catholics are aware that the process has been rigged from the start—as has occurred (let’s not forget) with all of the Synods under...

Two top Democrats are asking the General Services Administration to terminate the lease of the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. A letter sent Thursday by New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney, chairwoman of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, and Virginia Rep. Gerald Connolly, chairman of the Subcommittee on Government Operations, argued that the lease should be terminated in light of the Trump Organization's longtime accounting firm saying it could not stand by nine years of financial statements prepared for the company. "New information, including that former President Trump may have submitted inaccurate financial information to the federal government...

I'm playing through Fallout 76 (I highly recommend this game for people who enjoy this particular hobby), and I found this poem on a terminal within the game. I found it frighteningly accurate to what's happening today. We toiled in their fields, They let us starve. We filled their coffers with gold, They filled our lungs with sludge. We broke our backs, They broke our hearts. We told them of our pain, They hooked us on their painkillers. We voted, They stole our elections. We asked for fair wages, They bled us dry.We demanded safe work spaces, They took our jobs away.We wanted a normal...

A disgraced Louisiana teacher has pleaded guilty to "horrific crimes" against children and admitted to serving her students cupcakes that contained sperm from her ex-husband, who is awaiting his own trial on child sex crime charges, according to authorities. Cynthia Perkins, 36, agreed to plead guilty and testify against her ex, 44-year-old former Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office SWAT member Dennis Perkins, who is also charged with dozens of child sex crimes, according to prosecutors. "She not only waived any right to appeal, and attempt to avoid conviction, but she also spared the victims from reliving her horrific crimes during this...

Sen. Ben Ray Lujan (D-NM) returned to the nation’s capital on Thursday and announced his plans to return to the Senate floor “soon” after recovering from a stroke. “Through the love and support from my family, medical team, and New Mexicans, I’m getting stronger each day in D.C. where I’m completing my recovery,” Lujan tweeted. “I’m thankful for the well wishes from folks across the country. I’m back at work and will return to the Senate floor soon.”

Pennsylvania Democrat attorney general Josh Shapiro, who is now running for Governor of Pennsylvania, stands accused of covering up election fraud complaints against Democrats dating back years during his current tenure as attorney general, leading a whistleblower to accuse Shapiro of being “criminally negligent.” “AG Shapiro turned a blind eye to the alleged criminal wrongdoing of members of the Democrat Party in our county (Fayette County, Pennsylvania). These same Democrats now owe gubernatorial candidate Shapiro their support in his run for the governorship. They hosted him recently,” whistleblower Robert Frasconi told NATIONAL FILE, noting that he made a formal 2018...

CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin said Thursday on “The Situation Room” that if former President Donald Trump and his children Ivanka and Don Jr. plead the Fifth when testifying in the civil suit by the state of New York, the jury could draw an “adverse inference.” Anchor Wolf Blitzer said, “Former President Trump and his kids argued that sitting for a deposition would violate, they say, their constitutional rights; this judge certainly disagreed. What do you make of this ruling?”

Clinton suggested on Thursday that the network's recent reports on what she has called a "fake scandal" pushed by former President Donald Trump were getting close to "actual malice"—a legal standard that is required for public figures to file libel lawsuits. Clinton said that conservative attacks on her were meant to distract from Trump's recent difficulties. "We can't get distracted, whether it's by the new culture war nonsense or some right-wing lie on Fox or Facebook," Clinton said during a speech at the New York State Democratic Convention. "They've been coming after me again lately, in case you might have...

Since 2016, Hillary Clinton has been trolling Donald Trump on social media over his alleged ties to Russia, calling him “Putin’s Puppet.” But Special Counsel John Durham’s probe has uncovered the truth about who was Putin’s Puppet. It was Clinton herself. She and the Obama-Biden administration spy agency chiefs and their corrupt minions were unknowingly, or perhaps even knowingly, Putin’s little helpers in tearing our country apart. It turns out that Clinton and her top foreign policy advisor, Jake Sullivan, spread a bogus Trump-Russia “collusion” narrative. To enable this Soviet-style disinformation campaign, Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign hired a tech firm...

No, no, no, no, no. Dear God, no. Hillary Clinton is seriously mulling a run in 2024. There’s simply no other way to interpret her speech at Thursday’s New York State Democratic Party Convention. Like the Tracy Flick she is, Clinton could barely make it through name-checking Gov. Hochul before eagerly leapfrogging into national politics.
