The crowd sourced GoFundMe platform said Saturday it will automatically refund what is left of the estimated $10 million raised for the Canadian trucker convoy protesting COVID-19 vaccine mandates after Florida Republican Gov. "The update we issued earlier enabled all donors to get a refund and outlined a plan to distribute remaining funds to verified charities selected by the Freedom Convoy organizers. However, due to donor feedback, we are simplifying the process and automatically refunding donations," the organization posted to Twitter early Saturday.

It really does seem like something out of a modern-day Monty Python skit. Officials in the city of Quebec City, Canada were fearful the pesky unwashed peasants might make their way to the parliament buildings, so they blocked the passages and sent guards to ensure no one could traverse the ramparts. Good grief, if the politicians only had a drawbridge, you could be sure they would have pulled it up to keep the peasants away and survive the siege. In an effort to retain their tenuous grip on power, Canadian officials have become a modern parody of medieval times. Behind...

I am seriously considering donating a 1999 30 ft travel trailer to a San Diego area 501C3 program for disabled veterans. Any advice out there on pitfalls or things to look out for? The two strongest candidate agencies claim they will pick it up and do all the paperwork. I would really like to give the proceeds to Fisher House but can't seem to find an specific pathway for that.

Historian and archeologist Kelley Fanto Deetz arrived to work at Virginia’s Executive Mansion last month to find her office had been emptied. Items in a historic kitchen in the building’s annex, which had been reimagined to tell the stories of enslaved workers to visitors, had been shoved aside, she said. A planned educational room for schoolchildren was empty except for a TV, leading Deetz to conclude it had been reconverted into a family room for Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin. Deetz is unsure whether she still has a job as the mansion’s director of historic interpretation and education. Deetz’s work updating...

Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Teresa Tam says all COVID-19 policies, including provincial vaccine passports, need to be “re-examined” as the virus is here to stay for months or even years. “What we do need to do, going forward as we emerge from the Omicron wave, is to recognize that this virus is not going to disappear and we need to be able to address the ongoing presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in a more sustainable way,” Tam said in a virtual press briefing on Feb. 4. Tam made the comment while acknowledging that the virus will morph into...

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò — best known for calling out other Catholic prelates, including Pope Francis, for complicity or worse in the homosexual abuse within the Catholic Church — has issued a letter to church leaders decrying the evils of the government and church response to COVID-19. Mincing no words, Viganò calls those responses part of a globalist conspiracy to control the people of the world. The letter — which Viganò sent to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and the prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith (CDF) on January 27 — is partly a...

The 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing are off to anything but a roaring start, with viewership down to an all-time low. Thursday’s primetime coverage averaged just 7.25 million viewers on NBC. The previous low was the 8.5 million that tuned in for the final night of competition at last year’s Summer Olympics in Tokyo, per Sports Media Watch. As OutKick’s Clay Travis noted on Twitter Friday, Americans are simply choosing not to watch, as the Olympics carry on in Beijing amid the ongoing Chinese genocide against Muslim Uyghurs. For retrospect, Thursday’s number is down 55% from the 16 million that...

President Biden's administration has taken a hard line against scrutiny of reports on Ukrainian and Russian relations, repeatedly dismissing critical lines of questioning as "Russian talking points" and "misinformation." White House press secretary Jen Psaki and State Department spokesperson Ned Price have squashed inquiries into government sources and alternative narratives surrounding the conflict in Ukraine. The White House has repeatedly warned that a Russian invasion of the country is imminent, citing troops stationed on the Russian-Ukrainian border and alleged plans to launch a false flag operation to justify an annex. Price was pressed by a reporter Thursday on the evidence...
