A recent NPR report quotes a Maryland mother who complains that you risk being tarred as "a psychotic, anti-vax right-winger" if you dare to question whether children should be forced to wear face masks in day care and K-12 schools. US competitive swimming's governing body has updated its policy on the eligibility of transgender athletes. A three-person medical panel will now determine whether "prior physical development of the athlete as a male" gives transgender swimmers an unfair advantage, USA Swimming says.
