What possesses a person to travel to another country for a luxury vacation only to complain it doesn’t mimic the dystopian hellscape they came from? I wouldn’t know, but perhaps Josh Freed, a writer for the Montreal Gazette, can offer some insight. That’s exactly what he did after vacationing in Florida and then returning to his home in Quebec, Canada.(related The Church of COVID Comes for Ron DeSantis)The obvious COVID hysteric penned an entire piece detailing the horrors of freedom that await those traveling to the Sunshine State, and it’s one of the funniest things I’ve read in a long...

Mostafa Waziri, secretary general of the SCA, said that the Egyptian archeological mission is the first ever to work at the Wadi Al-Nasb site. He added that the uncovered building was used as an administrative centre for the mining teams which headed to Sinai searching for turquoise and copper. Preliminary study indicates that the building was built during the Middle Kingdom and continued to be used with little changes to its interior design during the New Kingdom and then again during the Late Roman period. The mining mission’s premises is located in the center of Wadi Al-Nasb, overlooking the ancient...

Meet the kunga, the earliest known hybrid animal bred by people. The ancient equine from Syro-Mesopotamia existed around 4,500 years ago and was a cross between a donkey and a hemippe, a type of Asiatic wild ass, researchers report January 14 in Science Advances. Horses didn’t appear in this region of Asia until 4,000 years ago, centuries after their domestication in Russia (SN: 10/20/21). But dozens of equine skeletons were excavated in the early 2000s from a royal burial complex dating back to 2600 B.C. at Umm el-Marra in northern Syria. The animals, whose physical features didn’t match any known...

Steve Hilton, on his show "The Next Revolution w/ Steve Hilton" on Fox News, displayed on the screen stats from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics showing that the labor participation rate under Biden right now is as bad as it was under Jimmy Carter in 1977. He followed that up by saying we as a nation have the worst inflation in 40 years along with having the worst labor participation rate in 45 years. What say you?

“Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them. Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches” (Proverbs 24:1-4).

The complex of 24 tombs was discovered at an archaeological site within the city of Anyang in Henan province, less than 2 miles (2.4 km) from the UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site of Yinxu at the city's center. The ruins there are from the ancient city of Yin, the capital of the Shang dynasty, which ruled between about 1600 B.C. to 1046 B.C. — the earliest dynasty ever recorded in China. The newfound tomb complex includes several pits that hold war chariots, the remains of horses that drew them and the remains of warriors. Some of the warriors were wearing...

Is there something to COVID-19 that is beyond physical? Is there an additional assault on the mind and emotions, producing an inordinate fear of death? There is no question that many people with COVID have struggled with fears of dying, even if their symptoms were mild. That has been documented by the medical profession as well as confirmed anecdotally. That’s why I asked on Instagram, “Did you personally get COVID? If so, was it entirely physical, or did you experience any emotional or spiritual attacks (such as, ‘You're going to die’ or ‘You'll never get back to normal’)?” Responses included:...

In the past two years, we've seen how safe cures for Covid were made available. Uttar Pradesh and Indonesia were both plagued with Covid cases. Covid almost completely vanished in a few weeks after their government delivered ivermectin to the population. You can review the data yourself by doing a Google search on "uttar pradesh covid" and "indonesia covid" and look at the graphs that come up. Yet, the medical industry made darn sure these cures were kept out of the hands of the masses, and doctors and pharmaceuticals everywhere followed the directive without question. So that really made me...

"And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven." "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. For the Son of man is come to...

A truck and trailer carrying about 100 monkeys collided with a dump truck Friday afternoon along Route 54 just off Interstate 80 near Danville, Pennsylvania. Three monkeys escaped the crash. The monkeys were later reportedly “humanely euthanized.” The CDC is now monitoring local residents for cold-like symptoms. That’s very comforting considering the lab leak from Wuhan that just destroyed the global economy.

Ann Coulter has a gift for pushing just the right buttons to inflict maximum irritation. She has been a top-tier troll since Donald Trump was little more than a failed casino magnate. Which makes Ms. Coulter’s recent attacks on the former president — her onetime political idol — at once delectable and illuminating. Take her contrarian assessment of Mr. Trump’s chokehold on the Republican Party. [cut] Ms. Coulter, it seems, has found a shiny new leader with whom to antagonize her former hero.

A man who says he suffers from mental illness keeps cycling through the King County criminal justice system. He has a long history of suicide-by-cop attempts. Someone is bound to get hurt or worse if the man is not kept in jail. The suspect is accused of trying to take hostages at a Target in West Seattle, where he barricaded himself for hours. He allegedly posted videos of himself from inside the store after threatening would-be hostages with a knife. It’s not the first time he’s been accused of trying to hold shoppers hostage at a department store. The suspect...

DANVILLE, Pa. — Three monkeys that had been lost along the interstate in Montour County are all accounted for, all of them now dead. A public health risk assessment was conducted by several organizations including the CDC. They confirm the escaped monkeys were humanely euthanized. The monkeys escaped after a truck carrying about 100 of them collided with a dump truck Friday afternoon along Route 54 just off Interstate 80 near Danville.

During my visit, I saw some customers shake hands with their waiter, as if to say: “Thanks, I’ll have some germs for dessert,” Josh Freed writes. I have a confession to make: I recently fled Quebec for a week, a refugee from Legault’s 2.0 curfew-and-confinement rules. A friend told me about an available condo in Florida, my wife and I made a last-second decision to briefly escape and work remotely. But the second we landed, it felt like we’d arrived on another planet. While Quebec is in full confinement mode, Florida is Cowboyland, where you barely know COVID is happening,...

A vast majority of Americans are unhappy with the direction their country is going in under President Joe Biden's watch and think the political climate is too polarized to get meaningful progress done, a dire new poll released on Sunday shows. A survey conducted by NBC News between January 14 and 18 shows that 72 percent of Americans think the United States is off on the wrong track, while just 22 percent believe it's headed in the right direction. That's relatively unchanged from the last time the poll was taken in October when 71 percent of respondents felt the same...

Breitbart News senior contributor Peter Schweizer on Sunday revealed how the Biden family have profited from business with individuals “linked to the highest levels of Chinese intelligence.” Schweizer, the author of Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win, said Biden’s son Hunter, while the elder Biden was serving as both vice president and president, was engaged in deals with individuals tied to the highest levels of Chinese intelligence. He called the Biden family’s business dealings “unprecedented.” “One of the most startling things we uncovered is the simple fact that the Biden family, while he was vice president of...
