Pfizer is about to buy Arena Pharmaceuticals for $6.7 billion. Arena is a biopharmaceutical company focused in part on cardiovascular and inflammatory medicines to a global patient cohort. A majority of mainstream news outlets have focused their reportage on Arena’s bowel disease treatment, while failing to mention the firm’s cardiovascular research. Utah-based Arena has existing partnerships with United Therapeutics, who focus their research efforts on pulmonary arterial hypertension. Pfizer’s decision to acquire Arena and their relationship with United Therapeutics is certain to net the company more in return than the bowel disease treatment touted by the corporate press. Arena’s Crunchbase...

I’m not saying that Elizabeth Warren is the dumbest person in public life–there is a lot of competition for that title–but let’s just say she is having the worst week. First she accused Elon Musk of being a tax freeloader, just before he disclosed that he will pay $11 billion in taxes this year, more than any American in history, to Warren’s slush fund the federal government. Next she blamed skyrocketing food prices on “Big Grocery.” Seriously:Elizabeth Warren @SenWarren Giant grocery store chains force high food prices onto American families while rewarding executives & investors with lavish bonuses and stock...

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said on Sunday it would be over her "dead body" that she receives the COVID-19 vaccine. The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee told Turning Point USA executive director Charlie Kirk at a conference the group hosted in Phoenix that she has already recovered from the virus and therefore has natural immunity. "Do you remember [Dr. Anthony Fauci] said that if you had COVID, this was months and months ago, you would be naturally immune," recounted Palin, who was diagnosed with the sickness in late March. "So at the time, we were led to believe we...

As the bad news surges and throbs again about the coronavirus, you can easily sense the lack of political vitriol for this president. Joe Biden gets a free pass. On CBS's "Face the Nation" on Dec. 19, reporter Mark Strassmann solemnly marked "another milestone in mourning." "Bells tolled Thursday for 800,000 Americans dead from the virus. That is almost the population of San Francisco. Roughly 1,200 Americans still die daily from the virus." Nobody blamed Biden. Instead, CBS preceded this dirge with a Biden lecture: "For the unvaccinated, we're looking at a winter of severe illness and death, unvaccinated, for...

The good news is that US Real GDP grew at 2.3% QoQ in Q3 thanks to massive Federal government and Federal Reserve stiimulus. The bad news? Prices are growing at rate of 6% QoQ, three times higher than the growth of real personal consumption. Runaway inflation, cooling personal consumption. This is the definition of “stimulyltpo”: the excessive spending by Washington DC in conjunction with excessive monetary stimulus from The Federal Reserve. Let’s see if Christmas season is jolly with Sewage Joe trying to scare everyone about Omicron.

Tuesday on FNC’s “Fox News Primetime,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said he was not surprised his colleague Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) came out to oppose the so-called Build Back Better agenda promoted by President Joe Biden. According to Graham, one of the takeaways was Manchin was “telling the world” reconciliation to pass spending bills was dead.

The leading medical adviser to a group representing nearly 300 airlines said in a new interview that aircraft passengers are two or three times more likely to be infected with COVID-19 on a flight since the emergence of the omicron variant. "Whatever the risk was with delta, we would have to assume the risk would be two to three times greater with omicron, just as we’ve seen in other environments," Dr. David Powell, physician and medical adviser to the International Air Transport Association, told Bloomberg News. He added that "it’s just that the relative risk has probably increased, just as...

VIDEOCha-CHING!That's the sound of the draining of John Heilemann's bank account due to the almost inevitable lawsuit coming his way from Kyle Rittenhouse. And the weird thing is that Heilemann has been almost BEGGING to be impoverished. Not only because his unhinged attacks upon Rittenhouse in 2020 as a "vigilante" and "domestic terrorist" but even more so because he just slammed Rittenhouse again while guest hosting MSNBC's Deadline White House show. You would think that especially after the Kenosha verdict of NOT GUILTY for Rittenhouse that he would be the LAST person Heilemann would want to talk about yet now...

They slaughtered the bull and the child’s mother came to Eli. She said, ‘If you please, my lord. As you live, my...

The NFL is in self-preservation mode. With 96% of their players and pretty much all of their coaches and staff vaccinated, they have decided to stop testing vaccinated players for Covid-19 unless they show symptoms. It’s not that they no longer think vaccinated players are contracting the disease. It’s because they KNOW the disease is spreading across the league faster than Tyreek Hill can run the 40. When Cole Beasley tested positive for Covid as an unvaccinated player, he was met with absolute hatred from the vaxx-nannies out there who willfully ignore the hundreds of “fully vaccinated” players who tested...

I would say it was fun while it lasted but that would imply it even started. When former President Donald Trump gave U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan his “complete and total endorsement” on Monday it effectively eliminated any chance that Martin Hyde’s circus act of a campaign for Florida’s 16th Congressional District would get off the ground. It’s not like Buchanan needed the former President’s endorsement to destroy Hyde’s chances of winning the Republican nomination. Hyde did that to himself the moment he called Trump “wretched” and said he was “horrified” by the “bigotry and bullying” of Trump supporters. He may...

The Washington, D.C., public school librarian who made third graders reenact graphic scenes from the Holocaust is a Democrat who claims she ran for office in New Jersey, where she was convicted of defrauding the state through a tutoring scam and charged with several counts of animal abuse. Kimberlynn Jurkowski was placed on leave this week after parents complained to Watkins Elementary School that she made students role-play the Holocaust, assigning students to be Jews and pretend to die in gas chambers and dig mass graves, according to the Washington Post. One student was assigned to be Adolf Hitler, who...

Chuck Egerton, from UNC-Greensboro, explains why "whiteness" opposes CRT and what "whiteness" means. "...looking at whiteness as a disease. The social construct is false. There is no superiority of people with lighter skin. So it's important to see it as, really, it's a disease because it's an attack on the truth. Whiteness is not true, in terms of what it imposes on us in our culture and our society. And then racism is a symptom of the disease of whiteness, really. And that's just saying where it starts and where it leads to." So, Chuck here thinks that racism is...
