Great song from a great album.
Low Budget is also a timely song.

I remember when this album came out.
Low Budget was (and still is) my theme song.

You should check out the whole album. It’s their best! Ray Davies was reacting to the forced post war socialization of Britain. Very similar to the situation we’re in.

Agreed...great album...still listen to it to this day.
Ray Davies wrote some lyrics thast could be considered very conservative. Living on a Thin Line is an example.

Queensryche, “Revolution Calling” and “Spreading the Disease” — Hell, all of Operation Mindcrime is spooky how true that whole album was in 1987
