“God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name” (Philippians 2:9). God exalted Christ by giving Him a new name. In today’s verse a question that arises is, What is the name that is above every name? To be consistent with Scripture, it has to be a name that goes beyond merely distinguishing one person from another. It has to be a name that describes Christ’s nature—revealing something of His inner being. Only such a name would cause Him to be clearly ranked above all others. Paul wasn’t referring to a comparative name, but...

[Catholic Caucus] Traditional Catholics: Exceptions to "Synodality" Caminante WandererArgentina, December 18, 2021The Synodal Church, which has unleashed the revolution of tenderness, has today given another evident sign of the direction its synodalities and tendernesses are taking, with the resolution of some dubia raised by the bishops to the Congregation for Divine Worship about the application of Traditiones custodes. Of course, the answers to these dubia that were quickly resolved and not like others that are still waiting to be responded, are all ordered to further stifle the traditional liturgy in the Catholic Church. Explanation: It is not a coincidence that planets line up. That's because all of the planets orbit the Sun in (nearly) a single sheet called the plane of the ecliptic. When viewed from inside that plane -- as Earth dwellers are likely to do -- the planets all appear confined to a single band. It is a coincidence, though, when three of the brightest planets all appear in nearly the same direction. Such a coincidence was captured earlier this month. Featured above (right to left), Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter were all imaged together in a line just after sunset, from...

Finding out that not much works for voles. Trying a product called Volex but not holding my breath. Tracking powders look promising provided they walk through it and groom but powders are hard to come by. Thinking about getting a car battery, putting two rods in the ground and picking them off with a pellet gun. I know they have rodent systems that puts propane and oxygen in the hole, ignites and instantly kills but can't find anyone in my area that does that. Not sure I want to go that route either since it's a neighborhood.
