The Toronto police officer who shot gunsmith Rodger Kotanko nearly a month ago won't talk to Ontario's police watchdog. Special Investigations Unit (SIU) spokesperson Kristy Denette told CBC Hamilton on Tuesday morning, the subject officer also "declined to release his notes, as is his legal right." Kotanko's family and their lawyer say they're not surprised but are disappointed. "Jessie, his wife, she just cries all the time," Jeff Kotanko, Rodger's brother, said in an afternoon phone call. "She gave up her life in China to come here and spend her life with him and … now he's just gone and...

Former President Trump is drawing attention after giving an interview in which he admitted to firing ex-FBI Director James Comey and suggested that doing so allowed him to remain in office for four years. "A lot of people say to me, how you survived is one of the most incredible things," Trump told Fox News host Mark Levin in an interview that aired Sunday night. "Don’t forget, I fired Comey. Had I not fired Comey, you might not be talking to me right now about a beautiful book of four years at the White House, and we’ll see about the...

The fine is now milder at € 2,000 (instead of € 7,200), but the amendment to the law against vaccination opponents is explosive in terms of democratic politics: Vaccination critics in Austria face a year of custody in the future. The amendment already passed the parliamentary committee. There should be their own detention rooms for the vaccination critics, the costs for food will be charged to “the obligated”. Quietly, and without wanting to attract a lot of attention, the government has now completed the current template for the enforcement of the planned vaccination requirement. Specifically, this is a corresponding change...

Pre-dawn FBI raids were conducted by dozens of armed agents transported in tactical vehicles to terrorize January 6 protesters and their neighbors. Citizens were ratted on by their friends and colleagues. Families were bankrupted and traumatized by the Biden regime’s ongoing crusade to punish hundreds of Americans who protested his unlawful election. People are held behind bars and denied bail based on their political views as trials are delayed far into 2022. And then there was the near point-blank execution of Ashli Babbitt at the hands of a Capitol Police lieutenant, who still is praised as a hero by the...

Democrats now scrambling for 2022 Younger voters appear to have increasingly negative attitudes toward the Biden administration, according to newly released polling data. Echelon Insights, a right-leaning polling firm, published data from its November "National Political Update" that showed 51 percent of voters ages 18 to 29 would vote for former President Donald Trump over President Joe Biden, given a choice between the two men, if the 2024 election were held today.

Nothing screams authenticity like wearing identical federal khaki trousers neatly tucked into booties while also carrying identical fashionably fascistic shields. However, the big tell that the “Patriot Front” march on Washington on Saturday was so obviously fake was they were all wearing face masks. When have you ever seen a legitimate protest against the government in the past year when even more than a few of the protestors were wearing masks?

More than 100 pharmaceutical drugs are facing supply chain shortages, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned. Drugs currently listed as "in shortage" by the FDA include antidepressants, antibiotics, heart medicines, cancer-fighting drugs, and pain killers. "The FDA continues to take steps to monitor the supply chain," the federal agency wrote. All anyone can say with any certainty is that something very strange happened near the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear facility at Natanz this past Saturday evening. Disturbances at Natanz have become somewhat commonplace recently, with a major fire in July 2020, followed by an explosion in April 2021 that cut off power to the facility. Both of these episodes appeared to be deliberate sabotage designed to set back Iran’s nuclear program, either by Israel or another of Iran’s neighbors who has a much clearer view of what a nuclear Iran would mean for their region. Whatever went down Saturday...

After repeated brawls between students at Hiram Johnson High School in Sacramento, teacher Connie Steinman made a decision. She wants to transfer to teach independent study. The American sign language teacher said she no longer feels safe at the campus where she has taught for 21 years. Her decision comes after the latest violent incident on campus where a number of students began fighting on Nov. 18, prompting a lockdown that some teachers say was not properly communicated and placed students and staff at risk. Like other Hiram Johnson teachers, Steinman has seen constant fights on campus. With staff shortages...

Super duo combine It was the 89th and 90th TDs between star duo Brady and Gronkowski – moving them second on the all-time list, topped by Hall of Famers Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison (112). Most adolescents and young adults with suspected myocarditis following a COVID-19 vaccination experience mild symptoms and rapid clinical recovery, though many had evidence of continued heart inflammation, according to a new study published today. Study authors said fast ventricular rhythms and the need for medications to increase blood pressure were uncommon; no patients died or needed mechanical support for circulation as a result of the condition. While cases of myocarditis following COVID-19 vaccinations continue to be rare, more research is needed to understand whether there are long-term cardiac effects of COVID-19-vaccine-associated myocarditis. Most young people under the age of 21...
