Buried deep within the massive infrastructure legislation recently signed by resident Joe Biden is a little-noticed “safety” measure that will take effect in five years. Marketed to Congress as a benign tool to help prevent drunk driving, the measure will mandate that automobile manufacturers build into every car what amounts to a “vehicle kill switch.” As has become standard for legislative mandates passed by Congress, this measure is disturbingly short on details. What we do know is that the “safety” device must “passively monitor the performance of a driver of a motor vehicle to accurately identify whether that driver may...

The Washington Post notes that Haiti is reeling from a power vacuum following the assassination of its president earlier this year and the August earthquake that killed more than 2,200 people and left tens of thousands homeless. One result is that Haiti has the highest per-capita kidnapping rate on earth; recorded kidnappings so far this year have spiked six-fold over the same period last year. Doctors, preachers, entire busloads of people, and even police on patrol have been kidnapped by criminals.

In early October, Gov. Gavin Newsom triumphantly announced that California would become the first state in the nation to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine for children attending school, once the Food and Drug Administration fully approves the shot for the 5-11 and 12-16 age groups. Two months later, no states have followed Newsom's lead — not even states that have been similarly aggressive in implementing COVID-19 restrictions, such as Washington, New York, Oregon and Hawaii. Why is that? Dr. Elena Conis, a historian of medicine and public health at UC Berkeley, believes that California's breakneck pace can be attributed to momentum...

Chants of “Let us in!” filled the air as Los Angeles Unified School District parents protested the district’s vaccine mandate for students at the Parents Call the Shots rally in Westwood Sunday.

We’re getting into the cold months when more people will be gathering indoors and respiratory illnesses like COVID-19 thrive. Requiring some proof of immunity is becoming more standard and widely accepted, and it remains a generally good rule. And the new boosters, now finally available to all adults, will help with this immunity. But immunity alone has proven insufficient to protect a gathering, particularly in the new environment of more aggressive and contagious variants like delta and omicron. Breakthrough infections — those in people who are already immunized — are on the rise. A stark demonstration of this is the...

CHICAGO -- Thirty people were shot, six fatally, in weekend shootings from Friday to Sunday, Chicago police said. A teen was shot Saturday night about 11:20 p.m. in the 200-block of North Wabash Avenue, as police responded to complaints of a "large group in the downtown district." The boy was walking and bumped into a male moving in the opposite direction, Chicago police said. Following an argument, the male shot the 15-year-old in the arm, police said. The teen was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said. No one was arrested in that...

Former President Trump came in contact with over 500 people between the day he initially tested positive for COVID-19 and his eventual hospitalization, according to a report by The Washington Post. He came in contact with people either in close proximity to him or at events, according to the report. The number, however, doesn't include people present at his rallies. In the time following the initial test, Trump did not take extra precautions such as mask-wearing or social distancing as preventative measures for those he came in contact with after the positive test on Sept. 26, 2020, The Post said.

What Does He Have on the Cardinals? "I am not speaking of you all; I know whom I have chosen; it is that the Scripture may be fulfilled, `He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.` " - John 13:18 Judas Iscariot at the Left as the Apostles Argue about Who Will Betray JesusDoes Pope Francis have the same relationship with the broad sweep of Papal Electors, as he has with those whose secrets he has and whom he keeps closest to him? Villianizing the unvaccinated is all the rage these days, especially from those who have zero answers for ending this pandemic other than the same tired nonsense they've peddled for almost two years now. After lockdowns and masks did little to nothing, vaccines were supposed to do the trick. Even Dr. Anthony Fauci himself predicted the jabs would bring a quick end to the pandemic in November ... 2020. Yet, far more people have died so far in 2021 - when vaccines were prevalent - than all of last year. So now, thanks to a Delta surge in some places and...

Anthony Fauci on Sunday said Sen. Ron Johnson’s (R-Wis.) comments that the infectious diseases expert “overhyped” the AIDS epidemic and the COVID-19 pandemic are “preposterous,” adding, “I don’t have any clue of what he’s talking about.” Asked about Johnson’s comments by co-host Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Fauci said he did not know how to respond to such a remark considering the high death tolls caused by both AIDS and COVID-19. “How do you respond to something as preposterous as that? Overhyping AIDS? It's killed over 750,000 Americans and 36 million people worldwide. How do you overhype...

Fired host Chris Cuomo threw CNN President Jeff Zucker under the bus, suggesting on Sunday that his boss knew all about his involvement in trying to quash his governor brother’s sex scandal. A spokesman for the fallen TV star tried to blame Zucker, who first hired him and then promoted him to prime time, while insisting he “has the highest level of admiration and respect” for him, despite his termination last week. “They were widely known to be extremely close and in regular contact, including about the details of Mr. Cuomo’s support for his brother,” the spokesman told the Wall...

As a thought experiment, I posted the following statement to Twitter last week: “Unless you are 100% sure that this vaccine is 100% safe for 100% of those who take it (you aren’t), you have NO moral right to force or coerce it on ANYONE. In fact, choosing to do so is an evil action.” To clarify, I added the below as a follow-up: “You can strongly recommend it. You can explain why you think the benefits are worth the drawbacks and/or risks. What you can't do - if you want to stay on the right side of morality, that...

The responses to Dr. Peterson’s tweet prove this aphorism to be true. There is much tsk tsking among the comments about the Nuremberg code only referring to medical experiments – of which most of the respondents assume the vaxxes are not. That’s technically incorrect as EUA (emergency use authorization) by definition makes them experimental. Trials are not complete. This is one of the more lucid examples of such criticism:Because they will always TELL you before they remove your rightsThey are invoking the slippery slope fallacy argument, advising Dr. Peterson, and us, that there’s nothing to see here so just...

Westerners continue to be duped across the board by jihadists and Islamic supremacists who fully recognize the West’s gullibility and play it to the fullest. The Western dress of the sleeper agents is reminiscent of Islamic State bride Shamima Begum, who has dramatically changed her style, doffing her hijab and putting on jeans and a cap, as she desperately tries to fool everyone into thinking that she has reformed so that she can get back to Britain. Jihadists run rings around gullible Westerners as they employ the tactic of taqiyya, using deceit to advance their war against infidels.

Despite President Joe Biden’s abysmal approval ratings as the nation suffers from the supply-chain crisis and crippling inflation, elites attending the Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday night gave the increasingly polarizing president a standing ovation. The moment occurred when comedian David Letterman bashed former President Donald Trump to acknowledge President Biden, who kept his mask fully on during the event.
