Former President Trump is drawing attention after giving an interview in which he admitted to firing ex-FBI Director James Comey and suggested that doing so allowed him to remain in office for four years.
"A lot of people say to me, how you survived is one of the most incredible things," Trump told Fox News host Mark Levin in an interview that aired Sunday night.
"Don’t forget, I fired Comey. Had I not fired Comey, you might not be talking to me right now about a beautiful book of four years at the White House, and we’ll see about the future. The future is going to be very interesting," Trump continued.

There were memos recommending it but of course the Predident did the firing and everyone knows it.
comey should have been prosecuted. But a corrupt doj/fbi encouraged him, and a corrupt gop enabled them.
Next they’ll say he admitted to building a border wall and meeting Kim Jong.

Perhaps my perception is wrong, but I kind of felt that the journalists had “lost interest” in Trump recently.
Certainly they obsessed all through his administration.
And early in 2021, as Joe was starting up, Trump was “at fault” for Jan 6, and for any problems that Joe had to deal with.
But, it seemed to me, by the end of summer, Trump was a little bit of “old news” and Biden and Harris were “it” and the journalists were noticing that Biden/Harris had problems and there seemed to be “news” there that deserved to be covered.
And now, all of a sudden, it’s Trump coverage 24/7 because, you know, he’s worse than Hitler.
Weird.
Everyone with a brain already knows that Trump fired Comey, so why is a story being written about an event everyone knows about that took place 4 years ago as if it is something new? Trump Derangement Syndrome if there is nothing new to write about, dredge up something from the past and write a breathless headline as if it is something new that only you have discovered.
Considering all the US Attorney’s the Dem’s fired, Comey was nothing.
Comey should have been indicted and tried. He tried to overthrow the government of the US and did great damage to this nation. The DOJ failed- big time!!

He fired Comey, but he fired him when he was doing a speech at a college. He als hired Wray, appointed Milley, let Hillary off the hook after getting swept into office on chants of “lock her up”, and about a thousand other dumb personnel decisions. I’ll vote for Trump again over any dem or establishment Republican, but let’s not gloss over some of his biggest weaknesses in office.
Let me get this straight - the head of the Executive Branch fired an employee of the Executive Branch who serves at the pleasure of the President.
And this is what poses as “news” and is presented as somehow scandalous.
These people are deranged and evil.
