Hundreds of students at Archbishop Riordan High School staged a walkout Friday during an all-school assembly that featured a prominent antiabortion speaker. About five minutes into the presentation, during which staff members patrolled the doors, students at the Catholic high school exited the theater and walked into the gym, since school rules don’t permit them to leave campus. A few dozen of the school’s more than 800 students remained in the theater for the entire presentation. The speaker, Megan Almon, works with the Life Training Institute, a program that focuses on teaching people who are opposed to abortion to “persuasively...

The Vatican declined to comment Friday on U.S. President Joe Biden’s statement that Pope Francis encouraged him to keep receiving Holy Communion during a private audience. The Vatican, which has a long-standing policy of not commenting on specific statements attributed to the pope during private meetings, emphasized that the encounter between the two men on Oct. 29 was “a private conversation.” Matteo Bruni, the director of the Holy See press office, told reporters: “I would consider it a private conversation, and it is limited to what was said in the public statement.” Bruni was referring to a press release issued...

If you thought the “conservative” Supreme Court would save us from the draconian, unconstitutional vaccine mandates popping up across the country, think again. For the third time, the highest court in the land sided with medical tyranny, suppressing the healthcare rights of American citizens and propelling us closer to The Great Reset. Only Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, and Neil Gorsuch voted in favor of blocking Maine’s vaccine mandate for healthcare workers. It marked the third time the court declined to protect the rights of citizens from being forced to choose between their jobs and the jabs. According to ABC News:...

The NY Police Department is preparing for a “potential mass exodus” over Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Chinese coronavirus vaccine mandate. Police officials issued several memos on Thursday for police officers who wish to retire rather than get jabbed and reserved an auditorium on Friday “for the NYC Police Pension Fund to process retirement paperwork with at least 20 years on the job.” Anyone who has worked less than 20 years and wishes to resign is being asked to come to the auditorium on Saturday. “This is to assist members who wish to retire due to the vaccination mandates,” the memo...

After Pope Francis and President Biden met today, President Biden said that the pope called him a “good Catholic” and that he should “keep receiving communion.” The Vatican has not confirmed the veracity of Biden’s account. Like everyone else, we at the Catholic League have no way of knowing whether Biden’s remarks are accurate. But from what we know about the Vatican’s handling of the meeting, and Biden’s long record of lying about many important matters, we are maintaining a healthy skepticism about the president’s rendition. It is certainly in Biden’s interest to have everyone think that the pope encouraged...

Traditionalists flood Rome after pope's Latin Mass crackdownROME (AP) — Traditionalist Catholics descended on Rome on Friday for their annual pilgrimage, hoping to show the vibrancy of their community after Pope Francis issued a crackdown on the spread of the old Latin Mass that many took as an attack on them and the ancient rite.An evening vespers service at Rome’s Pantheon basilica, the first event of the three-day pilgrimage, was so full that ushers had to add two rows of chairs to accommodate the faithful. Many young families, couples and priests filled the pews, hailing from the U.S., France, Spain...

Pope Francis met with Joe Biden. No doubt the Biden administration and the left wing of the world will try to make it seem like these two men are on the same page about just about everything, especially left-wing causes based on mythology. In reality, they have nothing in common when it comes to fighting for human dignity and equality. The reason is something Joe Biden would learn if he really did have respect for the Catholic faith and for the popes of the Catholic Church. As St. John Paul II made clear in his apostolic exhortation Christo Fidelis Laicic,...

When the news of an alleged incident of sexual misconduct against then Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) came to light in March, it was reported that it could arise to the "level of a crime." Sure enough, on Thursday, the now former governor was charged with a misdemeanor after a criminal complaint was filed in Albany City Court accusing him of "knowingly and intentionally the class A misdemeanor of Forcible Touching," as reported by the New York Post. According to the complaint, a person is guilty of such a misdemeanor when "intentionally, and for no legitimate purpose forcibly touches the sexual...

Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio misnamed his own “Star Trek” costume and then proceeded to mangle the Prime Directive during a Thursday press conference. De Blasio showed up to his press conference wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt with the gold Starfleet emblem and claimed that he had chosen his costume as “an homage to Captain Kirk,” but critics quickly pointed out that Kirk, made famous by actor William Shatner, wore a gold uniform. The blue uniform was worn by the science and medical officers, such as Leonard Nimoy’s Spock. (RELATED: ‘I’m Going To Be A ‘Rocket Man’:...

ANALYSIS: Murphy Wanted to Increase Taxes By $1.2 Billion More Than Massive Enacted Tax Hikes October 29, 20214 min readDoug Kellogg During his first term, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy proposed over $4 billion in tax hikes, succeeding in increasing taxes by over $2.7 billion on New Jersey residents. That means Governor Murphy wanted more than $1.2 billion in tax hikes that were left on the table – another billion dollar-plus burden for Jersey residents. “Governor Murphy drastically increased taxes, and his agenda shows he wanted to take even more hard-earned dollars from the pockets of New Jersey families and...

A consulting architect on UCSB’s Design Review Committee has quit his post in protest over the university’s proposed Munger Hall project, calling the massive, mostly-windowless dormitory plan “unsupportable from my perspective as an architect, a parent, and a human being.” In his October 25 resignation letter to UCSB Campus Architect Julie Hendricks, Dennis McFadden ― a well-respected Southern California architect with 15 years on the committee ― goes scorched earth on the radical new building concept, which calls for an 11-story, 1.68-million-square-foot structure that would house up to 4,500 students, 94 percent of whom would not have windows in their...

Joe Biden has chosen a former clerk of the late pro-abortion Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to challenge a Texas law that is saving thousands of unborn babies from abortion. Bloomberg Law reports the U.S. Senate confirmed Elizabeth Prelogar as solicitor general on Thursday, and her first case before the Supreme Court will be the Texas heartbeat law on Monday. Prelogar, an Idaho native, previously served as a clerk for Supreme Court Justices Ginsburg and Elena Kagan, as well as U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland when he was a federal judge, according to USA Today. The 41-year-old is a...

DEL RIO, TX—After weeks of being placed on leave, Texas border patrol agents are finally returning to the border on their horses. This time, however, they will be carrying giant sacks of money instead of their leather reins. "This is our way of showing who we are as Americans," said the newly appointed Border Patrol Chief Zamby Fiddlepoot. "Our agents have all been given 320 hours of anti-racist and sensitivity training. We also chemically castrated them. They will just hand out hugs and money now." The newly trained agents will patrol the border day and night, giving $420,000 to every...

I had thought we were over the whole "stay safe" thing, finally, now that we are over 15 months past the whole "15 Days to Flatten the Curve" thing. But apparently not. It appears to have made a resurgence. Perhaps this is because the vaxxed are worried their vaxxes are wearing off and it hasn't been their turn yet at the boosters. Today I was asked by a client if I was "staying safe" and told by another at the end of our call to "stay safe." I can't tell you how much this phrase grates me, but I can't...
