The Vatican declined to comment Friday on U.S. President Joe Biden’s statement that Pope Francis encouraged him to keep receiving Holy Communion during a private audience.
The Vatican, which has a long-standing policy of not commenting on specific statements attributed to the pope during private meetings, emphasized that the encounter between the two men on Oct. 29 was “a private conversation.”
Matteo Bruni, the director of the Holy See press office, told reporters: “I would consider it a private conversation, and it is limited to what was said in the public statement.”
Bruni was referring to a press release issued by the Vatican saying that the two men spoke about the environment, the coronavirus pandemic, refugees, and human rights.
According to the White House pool report, Biden told reporters that he and the pope did not discuss abortion during their 75-minute meeting.
Asked whether the issue came up, the president replied: “No, it didn’t. It came up — we just talked about the fact that he was happy I was a good Catholic and I should keep receiving Communion.”

Biden is a known liar. Anything he claims to say should be presumed to be a lie until proven otherwise.
That is actually fairly consistent for the Vatican over the years.
You can tell the real position by the other generic statements they make...MINIMAL reference to right to life. MINIMAL reference to sexual deviance. EXTENSIVE reference to typical left-wing social justice issues. EXTENSIVE reference to people being too faithful to the teachings of the Church. Including out of Bergoglio’s mouth.
So I actually believe the Alzheimer’s patient in this case. But not because the Vatican is silent on the issue, but because of all the issues where they haven’t been silent.
And the Vatican could easily prove otherwise if it is a lie. Yet, it chooses not to.
Why?
The Vatican is not going to back up diaper joe’s claims about anything.
They are not stupid.
As the article says, it’s not their policy to comment on what is said during private audiences. Agree with that policy or not, they’re consistent in this.
Look at his face when he says it, it’s a lie.
But they could easily deny those claims if not true.

The apostate pope has no business holding these meetings where the truth is never revealed.
I honestly don’t care. I’m not letting the actions of Biden or this Pope cause me to be scandalized. I’m focusing on Christ, His Gospel, and the teachings of the Fathers of the Church. And I’m praying that the time of these dreadful hirelings is mercifully short.

The Vatican is not going to say the President of the USA is a liar.
I agree. The Vatican is under no obligation to avoid commenting on subjects or topics that weren’t discussed during the meeting.
A Catholic Vatican would.
And they don't even have to call Biden a liar.
They could simply say Bergoglio never told Biden he was free to receive Holy Communion and the senile old man is confused. But they won't, because they can't.
