For all you homeschool moms and apologetics enthusiasts out there, here is an incredible and awe-inspiring story that is sure to bolster your faith and admiration for the Word of God and its rich, historical narrative of God’s people. In an extraordinary discovery, archaeologists unearthed a millennia-old artifact on which they believe is written the name of Gideon from the biblical book of Judges, which would be the first of its kind for a contemporary artifact. The discovery in southern Israel gives substantial evidence proving the authenticity of the Old Testament as a historical text. The Times of Israel reported:...

A friend in South Africa has been keeping me updated about what’s going on there. According to him, it was “a well-planned attempt at provoking a civil uprising.” What’s extraordinary, though, is that, wherever armed, law-abiding citizens have been able to make a stand against the violence and anarchy, the rioters are backing down. My friend forwarded to me a round-robin letter (“the Letter”) that South Africans are sharing -- and that reflects his experiences. I’ve included excerpts from the Letter in the body of this post, but you can read the whole Letter here. The ostensible reason for the South...

It’s well after midnight on a Saturday morning, but traffic is as thick as rush hour along a four-block industrial stretch in East New York, Brooklyn. Scantily clad women walk mid-block, their heels click-clacking on the asphalt as they move from car to car, leaning into driver’s side windows to entice the next man in line. One woman on the sidelines, appearing disinterested, sips from a can of Red Bull through a straw. It’s a rare break in a cycle that repeats for hours on end: Hopping into strangers’ cars, riding out of view for 10, sometimes 30 minutes, then...

1. PrinciplesThe motu proprio “Traditionis Custodes” was issued by Pope Francis on 16 July 2021, along with an accompanying letter. As a restrictive decree, this present motu proprio of Pope Francis should be interpreted strictly, in accord with the legal maxim Regula Juris 15 (odiosa restringenda, favorabilia amplificanda). Interestingly, there is no vacatio legis on the document either.Pope Francis indicates in the first paragraph that the bishops constitute the principle of unity of the particular churches and govern them through the proclamation of the Gospel. As the specified end of the document is the “constant search for ecclesial communion”, it would...

SAN DIEGO — Across the nation some cities are ripping up aging highways to make room for open spaces that connect — rather than divide — neighborhoods. In San Diego some advocates are looking to the sky for a similar solution to reunite neighborhoods that were split by interstate highways. San Diego Commons, a nonprofit group led by local architects and urban planners, is proposing that the city build bridge decks, often called freeway lids, above Interstate 5 to reconnect several central San Diego neighborhoods that years ago were shorn apart when the interstates were built. The nonprofit is proposing...

Last night, the 11 PM CBS local newscast interviewed an apparently healthy, fit-looking man. He seemed to be in his mid-30s, and the thrust of the interview was that he’d gotten the COVID Delta variant, so we all better hurry and get vaccinated if we haven’t already. I must admit, I was half asleep when it came on, but I couldn’t help wondering if he’d actually been sick. Nobody asked, nor did the guy mention symptoms. It was all about the inconvenience of having to isolate himself from his kids, plus he had to miss a family reunion. Earlier, at...

Harvard legal professor and Trump legal defender Alan Dershowitz made clear that former President Donald Trump is wrong in his baseless and consistent claims that the 2020 general election was stolen. The fact that he made these claims to Fox News host Sean Hannity, in full view of millions of Hannity viewers who likely disagree, is no small thing. Hannity started the conversation by discussing ongoing audits of elections in key swing states that went for President Joe Biden, arguing that the audits were a healthy exercise for the body politic as people need confidence in the results. This ignores...

Hillary Clinton and top congressional Republicans Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy will join President Biden on Thursday for a small dinner party with visiting German Chancellor Angela Merkel. It’s unclear if Clinton will speak to reporters during her return to the White House — as high-profile visitors sometimes do on the driveway. The meal in the State Dining Room is closed to reporters. Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, is not on the 25-person guest list — nor are the top Democrats in Congress. As first lady, Clinton lived in the executive mansion for eight years, but failed to get...

The Idaho Transportation Department is gearing up to begin improvements to the “Flying Y” interchange system that connects Interstates 86 and 15 located on the Pocatello-Chubbuck border. ITD is currently in the design phase of the project, which will involve roadway, ramp and bridge upgrades at the junction of Interstate 86 and Interstate 15, and building a new separated pedestrian and bicycle path. Construction on the project is slated to begin in mid-2022 and conclude in 2025, ITD says. “This project aims to improve safety, mobility and economic opportunity by upgrading the roadway to current engineering standards, replacing the aging...

BREAKING: Bergoglio “abrogates” the TLM itself! The long-rumored Motu Proprio of Francis the Infelicitous restricting the Traditional Latin Mass was finally issued and it doesn’t disappoint – that is, if you’re like me and welcome anything that makes it more difficult for the sincerely blind to deny the reality that Jorge Bergoglio, far from being Holy Father, is an enemy of the Catholic faith. Here, I will get straight to the highlights. I’ll have more to say on smaller details later.Without even surfing the web for headlines, I’m rather ceratain that the big story as reported by most in Catholic media...

Bias isn't the problem. It's when a gaslighting monopolistic media hegemon insists that lies are facts and anyone who questions them is 'disinformation.'“I’m a biased journalist, and I’m good with that,” headlined an article by former New York Times editor Lauren Wolfe on her Substack earlier this month. Wolfe was fired from the Times after fawning “I have chills” on Twitter about President Biden’s inauguration in January. In her recent article, Wolfe decries the expectation of farcical “objectivity” in newsrooms like The New York Times, suggesting journalists can’t turn off the perspective and bias they bring to each story. “When...

Speech given in France in 1995, English subtitiles "In the biological destruction there are the organized tempests on the magnetic fields. What will follow is a contamination of the bloodstreams of mankind, creating intentional infections. This will be enforced via laws that will make vaccination mandatory. And these vaccines will make possible to control people. The vaccines will have liquid crystals that will become hosted in the brain cells, which will become micro-receivers of electromagnetic fields where waves of very low frequencies will be sent. And through these low frequency waves people will be unable to think, you’ll be turned...

The 48-year-old Interstate 40 bridge between Arkansas and Tennessee was rated as being in “fair” condition with a sufficiency factor of 58% before a “significant” fracture was discovered on May 11. The structure has remained closed to traffic since that time as crews work to repair the damage, first stabilizing the bridge to accommodate the equipment needed and then removing and replacing the damaged portion of a 900-foot structural beam. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) said a fracture may be caused by overload, shock, fatigue or stress. A critical fracture could lead to collapse, if not properly repaired and...

With Democrats ratcheting up the pressure on their war against election integrity and several states waiting in the wings to see what happens, Arizona‘s state Senate held a publicly broadcast hearing Thursday to get updates from three officials overseeing the independent audit of Maricopa County‘s 2.1 million votes. Cyber Ninjas head Doug Logan made several preliminary bombshell disclosures about ways sloppy administration and bookkeeping might have flipped the outcome of the state, which Democrat Joe Biden officially won by 10,457 votes in the 2020 election. Logan—who has faced the brunt of leftist attacks, including, as of Wednesday, a politically motivated...
