The United States and Germany have signed the Washington Declaration on common principles as a result of meeting. Its text is published on the White House website.
According to the Declaration, Washington and Berlin are committed to protecting the 'open world'.
This document confirms the commitment to the democratic principles that underlie both countries, as well as how they will apply them.
The declaration states that all nations must be free from foreign interference in determining their political system. According to the document, Germany and the United States also promise build a united, free and peaceful Europe, support NATO and develop existing alliances.

"Together, we will uphold the rule of law, promote transparency and good governance, and support civil society and independent media. We will protect the rights and dignity of all people and fight injustice and inequality wherever they occur," Joe Biden said.
In addition, the countries announced the launch of a climate and energy partnership. It emphasizes in general terms the commitment to combating climate change and the future of cooperation to maintain energy security and the development of new energy technologies.
As it was reported earlier, after the meeting with American president, Angela Merkel announced German position on Nord Stream 2 issue.

A) Quit banning fracking. The natural gas it produces lowers the prices of natural gas, which reduces Russia's stranglehold on much of Europe.
B) Keep exporting natural gas to the rest of the world.
C) Quit letting other countries dump their citizens into our countries.
D) Quit taking bribe money from China at government positions, including at public funded universities. E) Quit making energy contracts with Russia (like Germany did).
