ROME – In the first open debate in the Italian legislature of a controversial anti-homophobia bill following an unprecedented complaint from the Vatican on grounds of religious freedom, the bill survived two significant hurdles in the senate Tuesday and could be voted into law as early as next week. In a July 13 Senate assembly, lawmakers fiercely debated the so-called “ddl Zan,” with right wing politicians pushing for it to be returned to the Senate Justice Committee for modification, and leftist parties arguing that after eight months of deliberation, with the bill having been approved by the House in February,...

[Catholic Caucus] Mythbusting: How Much of the 1962 Missal is Actually Used in the Post-Vatican II Missal? In a recent article in Notitiae, the new Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, Archbishop Arthur Roche, made the following claim about the textual relationship between the ‘old’ and ‘new’ Missals:While the Missal retains the basic structure of that of Saint Pius V, together with ninety percent of the texts of that Missal, it removes a number of repetitions and accretions and simplifies the language and the gestures of the liturgy. At the same time, it uses...

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Two Republican state representatives in Ohio have introduced legislation requiring doctors to tell women undergoing drug-induced abortions about a disputed treatment for potentially stopping the abortion process. The legislation announced Thursday requires physicians administering a chemical abortion to inform a patient prior to, or soon after, taking the first of two pills prescribed that it may be possible to reverse the process. The American College of Obstretricians and Gynocologists says that position is not supported by science. The bill’s backers characterized it as an extension of Ohio’s existing informed consent laws. Abortion-rights advocates said it’s “founded...

The body of aspiring starlet Elizabeth Short was found beside a sidewalk in a vacant lot in a southern Los Angeles suburb and shocked even the most hardened newspaper crime reporters.

An auditor helping lead the 2020 election audit in Maricopa County, Arizona, said Thursday that it is "critically important" auditors gain access to a contested set of data machines that the county is refusing to hand over. Maricopa County has for months refused to hand over county-owned routers subpoenaed by the Arizona state Senate, despite a judge earlier this year ruling the subpoena valid, effectively ordering the county to comply. County officials have claimed that the routers, if surrendered, could constitute a security risk if sensitive data within them is leaked. At the state Senate hearing on Thursday, one of...

"Guess you guys aren't ready for that yet, but your kids are gonna love it." —Marty McFly after playing "Johnny B. Goode" to the crowd at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance in Back to the Future Admittedly, this is going to be one of those mind-melting articles designed to get you to think beyond the plain reading of the text, and envisage both the logic and the logistics of Revelation chapter five. I don't have any answers for this, however, I have a ton of questions and some speculations as to what I "think" happens, but I am by...

At least one of three counties targeted for a forensic investigation of Pennsylvania’s 2020 presidential election has said it will not allow access to its voting machines. Pennsylvania Sen. Doug Mastriano, chair of the Intergovernmental Operations Committee, sent letters to election officials in three Pennsylvania counties, Philadelphia, York, and Tioga, requesting access to voting machines and information to be used as evidence in a forensic analysis of the 2020 election. Tioga County Commissioners decided not to provide access after receiving a directive from the Pennsylvania Department of State ordering county boards of elections not to provide any access to third...

Brian Kolfage posted this on Gettr today and last week he warned of it. The state of NY directed by Letitia James is trying to manufacture a case against Stephen K Bannon and We Build The Wall, Inc. They have no victims and want to manipulate donors into becoming victims with their propaganda. This is what political targeting looks like, its happening right now. They are actively attempting to manufacture a crime to topple Bannon with BOGUS charges after he was already pardoned on federal charges by President Trump. https://populist.press/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/3.jpg Just last week Brian Kolfage posted this statement about the...

The Daily Wire notes that the NFL already featured Alicia Keys and the Cleveland All-City Choir singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing” before Super Bowl LV and even before the 2021 NFL Draft. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy revealed during the White House news briefing Thursday that he’s lost 10 family members to the coronavirus. Murthy, who joined the briefing in an effort to urge Americans to get their shots amid lagging vaccination rates, was candid about his own experience during the pandemic. His family members who died were in both the U.S. and India. He said it was “painful” to know that “nearly every death we are seeing now” from Covid-19 in the U.S. could have been prevented with vaccines. “I say that as someone who has lost 10 family members to Covid-19...

After the 2020 election, Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, compared President Donald Trump to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler and Trump’s supporters in the MAGA movement to Nazi brownshirts. This only further underscores conservative fears about President Joe Biden’s efforts to root out “extremism” in the military.“Milley told his staff that he believed Trump was stoking unrest, possibly in hopes of an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act and call out the military,” Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker wrote in their forthcoming book I Alone Can Fix It, CNN reported.According to the...

The video is done in fun to show both how propaganda can be used to spin anything and that there are some plot holes in Star Wars. Rebuttal and sequel videos are being planned, so feel free to leave a comment and I may discuss it in long form. For over four decades, there has been debate on who the true villains and heroes of the Star Wars Saga are. With over 30 minutes of content and discussion, I feel that a fair argument can be made in favor of The Empire. I am not implying that the empire, sith,...

A law enforcement source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection says ICE Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers are ramping up their release or “Alternatives to Detention” capabilities. Cell phones with tracking apps will eventually replace ankle monitoring bracelets, according to the source. The source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, says the phones will allow for GPS tracking and check-ins using facial recognition. The available supply of ankle bracelets will be issued until depleted–at which time the phones will circulate. The source notes the ankle monitoring efforts have proven expensive and, in many cases, the devices are...

Steve McQueen had a rough childhood. Between two abusive stepfathers, an alcoholic mother who abandoned him, and growing up in a reform school, it’s no surprise the famous actor viewed the Marine Corps as a great escape from life’s hardships. Before he was a movie star or a jarhead, “The King of Cool” worked a long list of dirty jobs, including one stint as a roughneck on an oil rig and one as a “towel boy” at a brothel, which prepared him for the grimy existence of an enlisted Marine. McQueen enlisted in 1947 as a tank engine mechanic and...
