The left does not want Hamas to be defeated. And so, Joe Biden has declared, effectively, that he is not his own man. How else to understand this report in the May 19 lead story in the New York Times: "President Biden, who had publicly supported Israel's right to defend itself, privately warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel that he could not deter growing pressure from the international community and American politicians for much longer..."? This bizarre assertion serves, certainly, to negate Israel's right to defend itself. The jejune nature of the not-so-well-meaning statements on Israel is made manifest...

Carey McWilliams is a gun owner, a successful small and big game hunter, holding concealed carry permits for 20 years. He has been turned down for a Minnesota permit because he is blind. He has applied for a second time.It is blatant discrimination based on a disability. It probably violates the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).Update: The Minnesota Sheriff, confronted with the evidence, and with the possibility of an ADA lawsuit, has issued Carey a Minnesota Carry permit. The initial thought of blind people carrying firearms causes many to do a double-take. Consider the concept more closely and you will see...

House Republican leadership removed Rep. Liz Cheney, (R-Wyo.), from her leadership position, a position her indignant liberal defenders likely did not even know existed until days ago. Cheney became Republican roadkill when she not only voted to impeach then-President Donald Trump but also became a vocal critic of his alleged "big lie" about the 2020 election. Cue the fake outrage by Democrats and the media. A CNN headline read in part: "Ousted Cheney Warns Direction of the Party is 'Dangerous.'" MSNBC wrote, "The GOP infighting reached a turning point after Republicans ousted Congresswoman Liz Cheney from her leadership position." PBS...

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) on Wednesday signed the "heartbeat" bill into law, banning abortion in the state once a fetal heartbeat can be detected. [Snip] Other states have passed "heartbeat" bills and, once signed, abortion rights activists filed lawsuits challenging them. Subsequently, courts have blocked these laws, ruling they are unconstitutional. However, the Texas measure contains a unique enforcement mechanism whereby any private citizen may file a civil lawsuit against an abortion provider or any other individual who "aids or abets" a "criminal abortion."

On Wednesday, the Chief Rabbi of Tzfat, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, arrived in the city of Lod, along with other rabbis from the “Torat Ha’aretz Hatovah” organization of Religious-Zionist rabbis, in order to encourage the Jewish population of the city and call on the government to act with determination to protect the Jewish community there. The battle for Lod isn’t just about what’s going on here,” Rabbi Eliyahu said. “It’s also about Ramle, about Jaffa, about Haifa, and about Jerusalem. Maybe it’s even chiefly about Jerusalem, because the Arabs in Gaza, as well as those in Judea and Samaria, have one...

You have to go back to 458 B.C. to find the legendary Roman leader who inspired the greatest act of America’s first president. Baltimore’s Washington Monument, located in the city’s Mount Vernon neighborhood, is less famous than its Washington D.C. counterpart. But it’s arguably more interesting. The Monument is a 180-foot tower with a 15-foot George Washington statue on top. But Washington isn’t depicted in his military uniform. Instead, he’s dressed in a Roman toga, and he’s laying down a scroll he holds in his hand. Why a toga instead of a tri-cornered hat? The artist knew the story of...

On Tucker Carlson’s Wednesday show, Peter Schiff discussed the rising inflation. Unfortunately, the clock ran out before he had a chance to explain his last claim. That claim was the ominous statement that “The government’s cure is what is going to kill the economy.” Schiff was right when he said that. It’s important for everyone to understand how the Biden administration is driving America straight to a crash: SNIP Eventually, Powell or his successor will discover that it is a lot easier to let inflation get started than it is to bring it under control. Once the Fed puts on...

We may have reached peak woke recently when some doctor got in a Twitter huff because a peasant of pallor did not detect the MD lurking within her, and this is a very good thing. This kind of foolishness will help us sooner consign wokeness to the fiery dumpster of history. The moral bankruptcy of wokeness should lead to its demise, but the abject stupidity of it might just kill it off first. Now, the tale is as tiresome as you can imagine – apparently a “middle aged white woman” heir to Bull Connor – who was a Democrat –...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem Psalm 70Psalm 70[a] For the director of music. Of David. A petition. 1 Hasten, O God, to save me; come quickly, Lord, to help me. 2 May those who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace. 3 May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!” turn back because of their shame. 4 But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!” 5...

There is nothing more American than mom’s apple pie. The image of the hot sugar-crusted pie is a happy memory for countless Americans. Variations of this tasty dessert belong to all American mothers regardless of race or ethnic origin. Leave it to progressive demagogues to find a way to tear down this cultural icon. They cannot let an apple be an apple. They deconstruct an apple pie to always find a hidden racist or oppressive narrative. Food InjusticeThe Left rejects the truth that apple pie is just an easy-to-make dessert. Instead, it denounces what it calls “food injustice.” This sour...

Among the material associated with a Maryland public school's five-day social justice summer course is a slide that identifies the phrase "Make America Great Again" as a type of "Covert White Supremacy." The slogan, often abbreviated "MAGA," has been a staple of Donald Trump's political career. Judicial Watch obtained the slide and other materials related to Thomas Pyle Middle School's course titled "Reading and Taking Action for Social Justice." "The enclosed materials were prepared to include in the class; however, many of the materials were not shared with students," according to the cover letter provided along with the course records....

I loved President Trump because he stood up for the ordinary people of America, those who for so long had been kept in cultural servitude by the political elite. Trump endowed ordinary Americans with a sense of possibilities by returning manufacturing jobs to America, restoring our sovereignty as a nation free of global institutions, and, above all, ending the atmosphere of political correctness that had choked free expression for decades. Then, when the elite saw everyday Americans rising above their station, it decided to put them back in their servitude by depriving Trump of a second term, by whatever means...

Many Republicans are rightfully gleeful over the mask dysphoria being suffered by MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, the high TV priestess of the establishment left. But as they ridicule her for mask neurosis, I wonder if they've blocked from their own memories that "mushroom cloud" argument for the establishment Republican war in Iraq. The mushroom cloud, like today's COVID-19 masks that are often sodden and clutched like religious relics, was a symbol. And such symbols are used in the politics of fear. Maddow recently admitted she was disoriented and confused after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's abrupt announcement that fully...

Joe Biden has had his 100-day honeymoon. People were bound to start complaining eventually. But then something at the gas station caught my attention. As I was filling my car, I noticed that someone had put a sticky note on the gas pump. It read, “Prices Compliments of Joe Biden.” When I told a friend about it, he commented that those notes have been appearing around town. It gave me a good laugh, but in the back of my head I was wondering if this was something more than normal grumbling about the government. Was something different this time? On...

A Sierra Vista man faces weapons charges after police say he blew up a bowling ball near his home Monday evening. James Jaggers III, 35, is being held without bond in the Cochise County Jail. According to the Sierra Vista Police Department, it received reports of an explosion and debris in a neighborhood street at about 5 p.m. Monday. Police said officers found “several pieces of what appeared to be a broken bowling ball” at the scene. Some of the pieces were in the roadway, but most of it was in the yard of Jaggers’ home. Police say Jaggers told...

With the increasing popularity of concealed carry among self-defense-minded folks, it’s important to separate fact from fiction to make us all better, more responsible defenders of ourselves and our loved ones. For that purpose, let’s clear up some of the most common myths surrounding concealed carry. Smaller Guns are Easier to Shoot Concealed carry is all about compromise. On the one hand, it’s easier to conceal a smaller gun. It’s less likely to print because it has a smaller frame and grip. It also might seem easier to shoot, especially if you have smaller hands because you can grip...
